The place is known for the cultural function every evening from 7pm to 8pm. The acts, dances and depiction of Rajasthan and its various tribes is quintessential. I would recommend everyone to visit it, believe me it is worth visiting. I wont reveal anything elseπ.The charges are βΉ100/show. You can pay through cards/wallets too.ββΏ Entrance to the cultural zone isnt accessible friendly.
Evening is the time to visit, but due to COVID the restaurant is closed and so is evening dance / cultural performances.
Less of a museum and more of a dance show. But no complaints! The dance is truly spectacular and makes you marvel how effortless it all looks. The show happens everyday between 7-8pm, Tickets per person and for camera are separate. This place gets really crowded very soon so its advised to go earlier to avoid standing in queues and get the best seats for the show.
Visited with family during January. The entry fee is nominal of Rs.50/ only. There are Arrow marks guiding visitors. No guide required actually. The exhibits are awesome. Very cleanly maintained place with great view of the lake. The staffs are quite responsive. Not much crowded. We were told that in the evening there is a light and sound show. Compared to a lot of havelis and museums that we went this is the best and value for money. I strongly suggest you visit the place. Like the restoration work. The puppets are super. Overall a great experience.
The best traditional dance and music show hosted in Udaipur. A must place to visit during the evening hours. The show starts at 7pm and lasts for 1 hour. They are trying to showcase some of the fading folk dance forms and there by helping those artists. Awesome performances by artists, the puppeteer and a 70yr old lady steal the show.
A must visit place if you are interested in knowing about how the elite lived in the 18th century, the structure of the society. It is located at Gangaur ghat and it is recommended that you go by a two wheeler or an auto rickshaw. Going by car is not as the road is too congested for a car. It is very less crowded compared to the city palace, entry ticket is βΉ50.There is a Rajasthani folk song and dance show at 7 pm everyday, the ticket for which is βΉ90 for Indians.Keep in mind though, the song and dance show ticket can be purchased only after 6 pm
A must visit when going to Udaipur. Evening 7 the show starts you can get tickets online as well as offline. Offline on the counter they expect only cash. Do try to get the tickets online as its much crowded and try to sit in front rows so that the view is clear. They charge 100 INR for camera entry.
Their weapons section is limited but interesting. The puppets section and royal wedding section are creepy. So is the paghri section. The musical instruments are just evidently neglected. The overall architecture is worth exploring. But here are the good parts: The Dharohar dance in the evening was quite awesome. There are some stained glass windows that are breathtaking, and the view from the terrace is a beautiful surprise.
Bagore ki Haveli was constructed by then Prime Minister of Mewar Sh Amar Chand in 1751-78. Later on it was also used for state guests. After independence it was taken over by Government but due to its deter condition it was again reconditioned by Government and handed over to West Zone Cultural Centre, Rajasthan. Now one beautiful museum and all traditional and antique articles are shown for public from 11 am to 5pm. In the evening one can see folk dance show from 7pm to 8pm.
As we know Udaipur City is the best tourist spot and Bagore Ki Haveli is one of best monument near Gangor Ghat. From the roof of Bagore ki Haveli there is Excellent View. I can say itβs best point for Photographar. Every evening there is cultural program in Bagore ki Haveli. Itβs very old Haveli, fabulous construction. I recommend to all visit once here.
A brief visit in time and a chance to understand the lifestyle of rich peoples in the past.Plz make sure you visit it before city palace otherwise comparatively it have identical similar things at small scale.
A must visit place , to get yourself into the Rajasthani vibe.
Awesome Kathputli museum. Life size puppets ane well decorated. The haveli in itself is a beautiful structure.
Nice museum. Entering fees is 50 rupees for resident adults. The night show starts at 7-8 and the ticket can be purchased from 6.15pm on first come first basis. The night show is nice and the museum is next to the famous ghanghor ghaat and pichola lake side. Must visit for the ambience in the night show.
Very nice place for Royal appearance everyone should must go, just 10 metres from Gangour ghat, Rs. 50/- is entry ticket, Military discount for showing letter from their unit to visit there. 30-40 mins are enough to visit.evening folk dance show performed here 7 PM to 8 PM .
We headed to the museum and the folk dance here. So they are two separate things. The museum was ok but we had done the City lake palace and felt like this didnt really compare especially since the museum isnt directly related to the Haveli but just houses different artefacts. The museum also has a small puppet area traditional rajisthani ones which were cool to see. Overall I wouldnt recommend this place as a must do.The folk dance on the other side is an absolute must! We absolutely loved it! The show starts at 7pm daily and runs for an hour. Ticket sales start at 6 15 and we got there at this time to find ques already in waiting. So recommend going at 6 15 or just after if you want to secure a good spot.
Excellent place with lots of historical artifacts. I liked one particular section that explained the entire process of a marriage by way of miniature doll figures.
The most amazing folk dance and puppet show you can see here. Dont ever miss it if you are in Udaipur. Ticket price is βΉ90 for Indian and βΉ150 for foreigners.
Enjoyed Cultural Dances and specially Puppet Show here.
Best place to visit and must visit its museum and must watch the evening show.
Good show for family: traditional Rajasthani folk dances by beautifully dressed women, mythological act by tribe men and fun puppet show

Bagore-ki-Haveli is a haveli in Udaipur in Rajasthan state in India. It is right on the waterfront of Lake Pichola at Gangori Ghat. Amar Chand Badwa, the Prime Minister of Mewar, built it in the eighteenth century. Light and sound shows in evening is good to see. It has good collection of puppet and pugdies from all states as well.
You can see different types of puppets. If you are visiting this place then Puppet show which happens to be at around 6pm is must. Over all good experience.
Awesome place. The evening cultural performance is a must-go if you are unfamiliar with rajasthani culture. Strongly recommended for foreign tourists.Make sure you arrive well ahead of time to get the ticket for the show.
Evening show is a must watch, though the place is a bit shaddy and old. It is situated at a walking distance from jagdish temple and also city palace is at walking distance. Surrounded by local market.
A very nice heritage site. museum shows things related to Rajasthani culture . Puppet museum is lovely . A dance show ( one evening show only / day ) is major attraction for tourists . Museum and dance shows times are different ,one may visit nearby ancient sri jagdish mandir and ghaat for lake view meanwhile .
Bagore Ki-Haveli is an 18th-century house which once served as the home for Prime Minister of Mewar. The building, which is located directly on the shores of Lake Pichola is now a museum and location for nightly puppet and musical performances, making it a very nice heritage attraction to visit when in the city.Bagore Ki-Haveli apparently has over 100 rooms inside but most are off limits. Those which are open for visitation have various cultural displays. These included a few small rooms exhibiting local wedding processions, rituals and costume hall, a room with a series of turbans from various areas of Rajasthan, a room with ivory statues as well as upstairs rooms, decorated in historical manner including items that might have been found here in the past. What we liked best about Bagore Ki-Haveli was accessing the rooftop and seeing the lovely views of the lake and surrounding city. Also, we very much enjoyed seeing the puppet room, which included so many lovely marionettes of various shapes, sizes and characters. It was just great to see, one of the more memorable things for us about Udiapur.Unfortunately, the museum closed prior to the start of the puppet show so we were unable to attend during our recent trip but this is something that looked quite entertaining that other visitors might like to consider. In the end, we recommend a visit to the Bagore Ki-Haveli, its worth an hour of your time when in Udaipur. We would definitely visit again the next time we find ourselves in Udaipur.
You get to see here the traditional folk dance including a puppet show. Show timings are 7pm to 8pm everyday and cost of the ticket is Rs.90 for Indians. In 1 hour they show you 13 different varities of dance and classic rajasthani things. Definietly worth a visit. You would enjoy the classical dances and classical music. The participants are very well dressed and humble. And Not to forget the host, before every performance she describes whats about to be performed both in English and Hindi. Further to add they charge Rs. 150 extra for cameras if you are willing to capture this classical folk performances. Sharing some glimpse from my visit. I visited on 01/02/2019.
Its a great place to see folk dances of Rajasthan including the Puppet show. Make sure to reach before time to get to sit in the front rows.
Bagore Ki Haweli is sweetest thing in Udaipur. It is local Rajsthani folk dance show where you can find best dance form and its execution. It is worth visiting place if you are in udaipur during evening period. It is one hour show and ticket is approx 90 Rs and camera ticket is 150 Rs. But this show is garnishment on your trip of Udaipur. When I visited this place a lady who is around 70 years old performed dance with 8 or 9 pots on her head and it was jaw dropping to watch her.BBC was making documentary there and I am waiting to watch it.
Great place to spend your evening (7-8pm) rejoicing in Rajasthani folk music, songs and dances.. ticket price is quite cheap. But make sure you reach there by 5.30 pm to get the passes.Bagore-ki-HaveliΒ is aΒ haveliΒ inΒ UdaipurΒ inΒ RajasthanΒ state inΒ India. I happened to take a wrong turn while going to my hotel and came across this hidden gem in Udaipur. Bagore-Ki-Haveli is a 18th Century Palace built by Amir Chand Badwa, the Prime Minister of Mewar, right on the waterfront of Lake Pichola at Gangori Ghat. After Independence, the Government of Rajasthan used the buildings for housing Government employees and thus, the haveliβs condition deteriorated to a deplorable extent.Β Thanks to The West Zone Cultural Centre, it is preserved as a museum of Mewarβs aristocratic culture today. In the evenings, the haveli is lit up and tge locals perform traditional dance and musicals of Rajasthan.
A Haveli turn into museum ....nice place ...with entry cost of 50 pp

The overall experience is worth an hour. The artists here are natives of Udaipur, who have been performing since a long time. The dances are spectacular, the cost is totally worth it. For Indian the charge is 90, for foreigners it is 150. For any camera, mobile or professional any, another 150 has to be paid.Tip: reach at least by 6.15 to garb tickets for 7-8 show. And sit in the first row on the floor. To experience something amazing.
