Food is the only thing I believe they can improve a little bit, but else its an amazing property. Its a bit far from the city, so having your own transport or calling for a cab everyday is important.

Royal Retreat Resort had everything!Surrounded by the Arravalis & Sajjangarh forest the views were breathtaking.Coming to the property we stayed in the Kings room near the Swimming pool, the room & black lobby interiors were super cool.Had an amazing experience during horse ride, shotout to Rani she is a Queen!Satisfied with the service & food as well.A highly recommended resort property if youre looking to stay a bit away from the hustle of the city near Sajjangarh.

Excellent gardens and pools. Rooms, restaurants are poorly maintained. Choice of cusine for B, L and dinner is very much limited. Once for a dinner, we had to do with only khichdi and curry.

One of the worst luxury resort in the udaipur. Food are really bad and reception never pick call on single time we need to call 2-3 times, then he will pick.No dental kit, housekeeping was really bad.Really a horrible experience, I will never advice to anyone to choose this resort.

The place is very beautiful. It is a great place for a get away. We went into its restaurant and to my surprise, it was not that good of an experience. The food was delicious but the service was SLOW. I mean dead slow. Most of the times there were nobody in the counter or waiters to ask questions. The attitude of waiters was bad too. It was the Chef who saved the place. Do visit but take a buffer and order first and then explore.

One of my favourite properties in Udaipur. This property is best to have a comfortable stay in Udaipur along with best food and service.They have choice of 3 swimming pools along with Amazing Enigma Lounge with wonderful panoramic views of Arrvali Mountains range.Rooms are XXL in size compare to other hotels in same segment, staff and service are well trained and having a warmth of hospitality.

The property is well developed with comfortable rooms and all required amenities. The best time to visit is monsoons since rainfall enhances the beauty of complete area. The famous restaurant Enigma was closed due to COVID. The response of staff was not upto the mark. Nobody inside including receptionists were aware that restaurant was closed and we wasted more than an hour for first locating the restaurant and then to confirm whether it is closed or open. Finally left the property without informing anyone because of poor response of staff.

Management & service was pathetic..Not even responding for continuous complains for services..Didnt bother for their guests...they only interested in private event..They didnt inform about private parties to the resident guests...so we could not visit bars and restaurants for dinner...They had private event almost everyday in the evening so we didnt visit those places...They were promoting their property for their restaurants, bar named ENIGMA & ELECTRA. But they had almost booked for every evening...At the tym of booking they told all three Swimming pools are working. But not one was working and at the day of checkout they were closed it from the morning to 10.30 a.m. for cleaning. this was also not informed to the guests...We visit Udaipur once or twice in a year but this was the worst management i had ever seen..I had done booking with Mr.Virender chenchi...he was very nice and responding till the booking was done.. After that he was also behaved like he was so busy and never ever bothered about our problems.. didnt even come once to meet us or talk to us . So he & his team was so irresponsive...Reception Manager Mr.Pranav dont have manner to talk with female and he was very rude.Only 2 persons have some manner and they were polite to us . We went to the location to plan a party, but the staff was unresponsive; they didnt say no outright if they werent interested, instead simply putting us on hold. We waited, but received no response, and we have to change our plans at the last minute to another location. Maybe theyre not interested in locals, but instead of putting us on hold, you guys could just say no.😠

At least they can work for that against what they charged.Too much expensive food and drinks. They charged 295 Rs for tuborg which had actual price tag 75 rupees. Must read this review before you book a room here ! We have visited here couple of times before and no doubt about its location, ambience or room cleanliness is really good.However, when it comes to service professionalism,I would give it a minus ratings.(I usually dont write this kind of review) We booked a room here this weekend for a day on Sunday, opted for 3 queens room, paid full amount during checkin.Out of three rooms, we requested one room to have a double bed rather than two beds combined, considering safety of the child, due to gap between the two beds. The request was acknowledged, fine till here.It was about 3 PM and my friend clearly informed at the reception that out of three rooms 206,207,208, we are giving back 207 for room 106. Room 206 (3 occupants)and 208 (accomodating couple) were locked.We went out of lunch and my friend and his wife staying in 106 calls us that your luggage is being brought back in boggie at reception. It carried my office laptop worth about 1.5 L in the tracking bag.When we called the agent/hotel to ask about the same, we were informed that your friend at 106 confirmed that 206 needs to be vacated for 106. As mentioned above it was 207, not 206.These guys opened the locked room brought the bags and kept in the entrance area. The clothes lying on the bag were also kept above luggage at entrance area just like that.We countered back that our friend did not inform to vacate 206 (it was locked man) by calling hotel, they are laughing that it might be a mistake. Agreed it could be a miscommunication within the hotel staff, but they did not even kept a second thought before opening a locked room, touching the apparels, luggage and just displaying it in reception area. Beneath all lying instead of accepting the mistake. When we came back, manager tooks us aside from reception area.Please note even if it would have been someones undergarments they would not have hesitated to move it away from the room.In compensation they offered a room far away from that block and the room was half the room we had paid for, saying its a Suite Room where you all can stay together.This is certainly not acceptable, showing unprofessionalism, lying to customers and then trying to cheat them by offering a so called degraded room.After the flagging to escalate the matter, we got the room 206 back but after wasting about two hours. Waste of time waste of holiday.At the same evening we even heard another lady having complaints about the service to the staff.No doubt a very good place, restaurant and vallet staff is hardworking, but learn some professionalism and atleast not try to cheat the customers by offering something room worth half the price someone has paid for.Very dissatisfied !!!!!

The Place in talk here is Enigma Royale which is a Fine Dine Restaurant inside the premises of Royal Retreat. Both the places are very beautiful, have nice views & is nicely done as well.But if you want it just for that you can visit it otherwise please read ahead. We will be talking about their food, hospitality & service in the restaurants context ahead.- They will make it impossible for you to book a table in advance as one would like to because the place is far from city.- They will make it your mistake that they have customers but are short staffed to serve them properly.- They will serve you Mc Cain products as their own dish & charge you exorbitantly for that as well.- They will again remind you that its your problem that they have chosen to operate a restaurant of which seating & kitchen are on different floors so that food gets cold.- Finally, they will take a really good amount of time for getting your order on table even if they only had to deep fry it.The place proved to be inefficient at best & could be avoided for food lovers at least. We ordered Corn Cheese Nuggets, Pizza Samosa & Paneer Tikka of which both the Mc Cain products were good in taste but the credit for that goes to the company, not this place & Paneer Tikka wouldve been good if it was not served cold as I have had it before in there Darbar Restaurant.Finally without asking us they brought a complimentary Manchurian Portion like it could make a worse night better.We spent INR 1900 here & then went for dinner at another restaurant.Attaching some pics...

Loved the place.the infrastructure too is good and the place itself is beautiful surrounded by mountains on all sides.just the drawback is the service (the service us good but here it refers to service on time because they shortage of staff I guess).the food here is really good and the staff is extremely cooperative and friendly.

Perfect place for spending weekend had lots of luxury facilities with Royal kind of touch. The room service is appreciable, there is open bar, rooftop, lounge, swimming pools, exhibition, hall, museum, etc. Which makes it a Royal place to stay in between of Aravali Hills.

Very well built property with excellent common spaces. There are 3 pools, alot of garden area and a very beautiful restaurant and lounge with excellent view. What is lacking is will to serve at the reception. A good stay overall for 2 days.

Very nice resort.Located little away from Udaipur city.Very well managed and clean. With 3 nice swimming pools and plenty of open space to feel the fresh air.Very large collection of antique furniture and items.superb restaurant, food was excellent.2 things which they need to work on.1) They really need to change their towel and napkins, it was quite old and hard.2) We travelled thru bus over there and it was hard to find it even with help of google as the suggested routes were not suitable for bus at all and were quite narrow. So better you guide the travellers while they having group booking.Overall satisfactory experience.

Superb resort if u have the heritage taste and are fantasiced by old heritage things! Very good staff, though they are slow at service but else everything is so good dat it doesnt count! I lived my stay there , go there and select the rooms as they have many types of rooms which are not available in online booking! I booked in kings block and rooms are just wow!!

Property is awesome, but staff services is very bed, it not say okay, I m totally disappointed, in room no have dental kit bath kit, and no any single room is perfect, every room have problems like AC TV geyser.

I wouldnt recommend organising a big function with them. Very unprofessional team, govt babu type attitude of sales team and very money minded (theyll keep selling you add-ons and have clauses everywhere). The property may look great and everything, but the team who runs the property is unkind to its customers. We paid lakhs of money as booking advance for a wedding that couldnt happen due to Covid-19 and they refused to return our money back to us.

Resort area was big and many thinks to do.....and there r 2 pools, horses, art gallery there......food was awesome and restaurant staff too.......bt the bad thing is reception staff is not good.....there are rude and not welcoming guest properly.....even they dont give Resort tour and one thing happens with us when we check-in they give us key and tell us room direction...and the time was around night and we really confused where to go i think this will not happen in 4 start hotel ....and all credit goes to manager.

The resort is great. It has so many lounge areas, like 5 or 6 of them.. They have been great at providing service. The only thing I did not like was the road to the resort.. It is 4-5 kms to Fateh Sagar Lake but the streets are rough and kind of scary at night.. So, I would advice to not to travel at night to this location. Otherwise its all good

One of the worst hotel stay in udaipur...Yes lets come at a checking timee no temperature check no sanitization at a time of check in..I called hotel before arriving for the roman of best location but they offered me the worst room after my denyng they gave me other room which was full of lizards and frogs... At night i called a person to get out 2 black lizards from my room .. and at nights big size frog was roaming inside my roomThe pathetic part was lunch and dinner they server us a jack fruit sabhji jack fruit starter nd jack fruit biryani which was actually looks like chicken... Nd that was taste less toooAnd at a time of morning shower there was no water como in my room.. for which i complaint the staff twice but no response and in the end i left i check out without having shower and shifted to other hotel...Dont waste your money in this pathetic hotel

It is a good place to stayed at.Ambiance is very good..Housekeeping staff is good..Food is ok when it comes to buffet dinner as it doesnt match with the ala carte quality..Not arranging for camp fire..100% payment on chek in and they wont deliver keys until you pay it. We were group of nine families and paid 40% in advanced, when we asked to atleast deliver keys so kids and ladies can settle down and in the meantime we can arrange for remaining payment from all. However they bluntly refused.
