OVERRATED, THE FOOD DOES NOT DO JUSTICE TO THE MONEY.The food is moderate. The serving style is quite authentic but the charge makes it not worth it. They cost 350 per person with unlimited service but one (even male) can eat only maximum two battis. The charge makes you overwhelmed.The price makes you more full than the food. I have had much better at 170₹.And the counter man is arrogant he starts bickering about how the prices of ghee,dal,etc.has raised . Very unprofessional behaviour.

DO NOT GO HERE- its overrated..highly overpriced (350₹) and the food is NOT AT ALL worth it. There are other restaurants in the locality which serves dal-bati churma at a better price with a better taste. On enquiring, some locals told us that they charged us (tourists) more than what their actual price was.. So dont make the mistake of getting baited by your guide (or taxi driver).

Awesome place to have some traditional Rajasthani Dal Bati. We found the place on a whim and ended up enjoying the food a lot. The staff was helpful and professional and the service was well done and hygienic. The meal too was delicious except if you like eating really spicy food, this place doesnt have it. We asked them to make our meal especially spicy but it was meh spicy at best. But that doesnt take away from the taste which was fantastic. Would recommend this place to everyone.

The food quality is far better than I expected. Best Dal bati thali with delicious churma. Despite that, we are over whelmed with the hospitality of the owner. He attended and served and showed the actual traditional way to eat dal bati. Loved it. !!! Much much recommended.
As the place is a must go for dal baati lovers we had to wait for 30 minutes to get a table but the owner was very friendly and made sure that we got the table as soon as possible and also he guided the guests on how to properly have the daal baati choorma. Overall a good experience

Yummy Daal Baati Churma (authentic Rajasthani food), Gatte ki sabzi (small dumplings of spiced gram flour cooked well in a tasty gravy of curd), one more veggie dish, Garlic Chutney, Coriander Mint Chutney, Salad and Buttermilk! That was heaven for us and that too unlimited. They only serve this one unlimited thaali - thats it.Word of caution: If you are not regular Daal-Baati eater, avoid going for another baati serving. It wont seem like but is really heavy.The place is small and nicely maintained though its a bit inside so dont worry to see no one out there when you reach as they all would be busy dining upstairs.Must try when you are in Udaipur.

Highly expensive according to taste.. They charge 350 per person and that thali cannot be shared, the person cannot eat more than 2 batis so its quiet expensive. Also the taste it not authentic, going for street Daal baati is much tastier in Udaipur than in this so called famous, non tasty restro. After hearing a lot we went to eat but the behavior and attitude of the owner was disgusting. If you do not want to eat there they will start disrespecting you and show attitude. No manners to talk or behave with customer. Extremely poor customer services.
You cant go wrong with this place in case you want to taste daal baati while in Udaipur. The taste is quite good (but not out of the worldish) and so is the service.The ambience could have been better, considering the price one pays.Another issue is they offer only unlimited thali, so not pocket friendly when have kids or folks who cant eat much - they should offer a fix thali or kid thali.
