Theres a reason why this place is highly rated, its damn good. I had their famous croissant, coffee and spam musubi. Sooo good that I bought 12 to go even though I didnt have a party to go to.Also, service was great, the ladies behind the counter were friendly and helpful.Ive seen this place a dozen times but never had the chance to eat there and now I have. Its what people say, all those reviews cant be wrong.
We bought pork katsu sandwiches and strawberry and custard filled pastries. The bread in the sandwiches is the best part, so you wont mind finishing the last bit that doesnt have pork katsu. The strawberry and custard filled pastries are the main event. Youll see ready to go half dozen, full dozen, and even larger custom sized platters of this pastry alone. Face coverings are strongly encouraged and the lined up repeat customers already know the drill.
This place is amazing. This bakery have bunch of variety of baked goods. There is amazing bread sections, dessert, and even sushi!. Please take a look at these amazing pastries. I go there every week at least once to get these amazing fresh baguettes. It tastes and smell so good that it brings me back to my childhood.
Their pastries are so good! I loved the “Azuki Cream” pastry in particular. Delicious, delicious, delicious! If you ever get a chance to stop by this area, please order some pastries! Their strawberry croissants and cream pans are mouthwatering. I’m saying this with no exaggeration by how amazing the desserts here are. Pricing is a biiiiiit high but definitely worthy the purchase! :)
The best bakery in town. Tustin that is. Incredible treats and of course you cant go wrong with their strawberry croissants. Once you get past those, there are so many choices that you can get lost between baked goods and lunch items. I have yet to try their curry but Im sure if its anything like their bakery items you cant go wrong.
Oh my stars. Absolutely decadent.Extremely fresh, quality ingredients, absolutely flavorful explosion in your mouth.Be prepared to know what you want in advance, as they move pretty quickly and dont really have time to explain things in detail. But its seriously, epically good. Bought several items for family birthday. The cheesecake is epic, hubby loved the white chocolate cheesecake. I love the little custard cups. If I had one thing to eat for the rest of my life, this would probably be it.
Delicious baked goods, but dont get there to late as sometimes they sell out of the top items.
This was my first time here and they rush you through the process so I wasnt able to look around as much as I wanted. They were also out of curry pan around noon when I was there. However, all the pastries I got were amazing. Would love to go again and would recommend knowing exactly what you want before getting in.
Amazing strawberry croissants with a little custard inside. Buy a party pack and take to your office or party... youll be loved by all. They also have pastries, chocolate croissants, blueberry muffins, pecan sticky buns, and others that are light, flaky, buttery, and moist. They also have tons of bread they sell that is light and soft. This place is very popular so plan early if you go on a weekend. They also have delish sandwiches like ham and cheese, turkey and avocado, our egg salad. Everything here is amazing. Prices are very good also.
Strawberry cream croissants are their game...platters fly outta dare....get some, tasty. Warm pork buns on the counter...bring your favorite spicy sweet sticky sauce as I was craving and what a meal or snack in the car! Oh yeah the green olive mini baguette...should have got a dozen for the freezer....they would go great next to the almond croissants in there now.
Maybe I have too high expectations, but the strawberry croissant if not as I imagined. The cut of strawberry is very thin, the cream is not light, only thing good is the puff. I also bought other bread, not good at all. I have had a lot of good memory of other Japanese bakery which makes me want to go back again and again but not this one.
I was a bit surprised when I pulled up the other day. The line came out of the door and down the side of the building. Then I realized the line starts at the door. Line wasn’t bad at all and the food was terrific as usual. They’re definitely known for their strawberry croissants, and this last time just seemed to be tastier than before. I’ve had their katsu Curry which was amazing. Not over powering flavor… just nice and savory. Would definitely recommend to a friend or family member.
I mean we all know what everyone comes here to eat. The strawberry croissants are the best desert item here. Im sure a lot of the regulars would agree. This is a good catering item for the office, for pick up of course. They also have other baked goods along with their own sliced bread. This place is a must if you have a sweet tooth!
Strawberry croissants are bomb! Perfect size, not too sweet. Very good
The line moves quickly and the strawberry croissants are delicious! Lasts to the day after if you cannot eat it right away.Next time I want to try other goodies in their bakery.
Great place to have Strawberry Croissant which is awesome. Worth to try. I always buy it as a present when I visit my friends house. Not too. much sweetie, buy really delicious.
Whoever the lady is with the pigtail braids & tattoos shes RUDE, RUDE, RUDE.. I would like to note the pastries and bread are always delicious five star, but customer service especially with this individual definitely give a zero if I could
Strawberry croissant is absolutely delicious and should be worth a 5 star review however I feel like past few visits quality has gone down. The wonderful taste is still there but the filling is drastically less and overall looks is less appealing. When biting either sides of the pastry it’s just a regular croissant with none of that iconic cream. Still worth the try since it still tastes yummy but I likely won’t be coming back because it was just once so good.
Excellent bakery! Super tasty pastries. Friendly staff. Highly recommended.
There is almost always a line to get in, and its for good reason. The pastries and sandwiches are delicious. Occasionally, they have steamed Bao which are very light, fluffy and filling. The selection dwindles fast so its best to get there in the morning or early afternoon. Prices are reasonable. Only gave 4 stars as the shop is very small and could be organized for easier checkout.
I love this place. The bakery and pastries are always fresh and delicious. The staff is friendly. Some things, however, could be better:1) It would be awesome if you use cardboard boxes instead of plastic containers.2) Same applies to plastic bags.3) Its pretty difficult to take a picture of both your label and beautiful croassants inside the box. I would love to see a slightly different design of your boxes :)Thank you for being so awesomely tasty!
Love this place. If I am anywhere near Creme Pan I have to stop by to get a 24 piece of strawberry croissants. They are the best. I always request my cousin that lives near to stop and get some when she visits us.
7/27/2021This place is far…! From the hotel but trust me… it’s worth all the drive. Everytime I visited Cali, I always visit cream pan. They have limited varieties but all their desserts are so good. Their strawberry croissants is a must and their An bun; which is red bean. They open at 5am and believe me… there’ll be a line. Until next time!!! Peace
IMHO the pastries are better than 85 Degrees, more delicate and less kiddie sweet. Their signature strawberry croissant is light, tasty and just as important it doesnt cost a lot. So get few extras. We also liked their pre-packed sandwiches, almost as good as the ones we love in Tokyo.Yes, theres always a line in the morning and they take credit cards.
I know there are plenty of pictures of Cream Pans strawberry croissants but I had to add one more (and there is just one of the seven we bought). Actually I was motivated to include a strawberry croissant picture since when we gave them to someone in Fontana he surprised us by knowing exactly what they are and where theyre from. I think well have to by a larger quantity next time!
My favorite is the strawberry croissant. But also good are the azuki cream buns and milk cream sticks.Location is great as it is right off the 5. Service is fast and friendly. They have a couple of 10-minute parking spots, which is good. However, the spots are lots of times taken already.Prices are more than reasonable, but maybe thats because I live in the Bay Area, where everything seems to be overpriced.
Great pastries. The line was huge so I was late for my meeting in the morning - so next time I have to give myself extra time.
Azuki cream and strawberry croissants are the best. I make the drive from San Diego to come up here
Busy place, always have to make line . Cashiers Little rushy, when ordering but really good choices
What an awesome bakery! We bought one 6 piece strawberry pack. I did not even get a chance to take a picture to post before we gobbled them all up. This will now become a regular stop in the future.
I have been to a lot of bakery and cafe shops including Portos, 85 Degrees, Corner Bakery, JJ Bakery, and many others. This Japanese bakery has the same reputation as Cuban Portos bakery. The only difference is that they are known for low calories, cleanliness, and healthy ingredients (not that lards, sugar, and eggs are bad for you.) I was early on a Saturday morning. To my surprise, there was a long line already formed outside the building. I ordered their famous strawberry croissants (34 pieces tray for $50.) I was not disappointed. Fresh strawberry and creamy filling in every bite. It was that good. Everything is fresh and served right away. Will check back on many items on the menu. My only disappointment is that their business located in Tustin which is kind of faraway from LA county.
Arguably the best bakery in all of Southern California - from the quality of the food to the friendliness of the employees, one could go on and on about how amazing this local bakery is. Our family is a consistent customer, coming multiple times a week. Though it can quite busy in the mornings and especially on Fridays-weekend, any time spent in a line is well worth the wait.
One of the best bakeries in OC, baked goods are amazing, not super sweet, baked to perfection! Azuki cream deserves special place in my soul :)
Great bakery in tustin. Im able to say they have been great from the start. People are really nice and food is great. Spam musubi rolls, assorted sushi rolls, chicken katsu sandwiches (just like japan), danishes, regular, chocolate, strawberry, strawberry banana, almond croissants, steam buns, loaves...the list goes on. The building is old but everythings old in old town tustin. Experience it for yourself. I know you wont be let down.
WOW. Everything I’ve had here is amazing. Strawberry croissant is 10/10. The banana strawberry croissant is great too, but somehow the smaller one wins. Flakey crust, sweet cream filling, and tart strawberry slices FTW. The pork katsu & chicken katsu sando are reminiscent of the ones I’ve had in japan, but they need a tiny bit more sauce. Salmon onigiri was great, beef curry bread was good. The adzuki Pan was BOMB. Same with spam musubi rolls.
Super delicious! Gotta order online! Highly recommend. Or wait in a ridiculous line 😂
Strong 🍑 espresso drinks. Quirky lovable japanese staff members offer fast and friendly service. Always a line out the door and this place definitely deserves its reputation and heavy press coverage. Consistently delicious and high qualify. I recommend their loaf breads to take home and toast.
My favorite bakery for perfect pastries, everytime. Wide selection of baked goods from sweet to savory for everyone no matter how picky or adventurous the appetite.
I love Cream Pan 🍓🍓🍓Anything you order is perfectly what you hoped it would be! Plus it’s so simple to park, walk-in, walk-out in 2 seconds you are back to your day but with scrumptious French Japanese pastries and delectables.I like best at near room temperature with extra fresh 🍓 strawberries.
Cream Pan is famous for their delicious Strawberry Croissants but they have other items which are really good like they Azuki Cream and you can also find fresh made sandwiches and homemade fresh bread. Its located in a strip mall right in Tustin so theres plenty of parking and they also have an outdoor seating area which was full when we went but maybe next time. Great place that takes either cash, debit, or credit.
Coming back from Japan for the 3rd time, I was craving some of that Japanese cream and saw this place! They didnt have the cream puff but they have the strawberry croissant cream pastry... which is their signature pastry. It was bomb! $9 for 6 of those. Cream is very good but not like in Japan. Close enough, Ill be back!
I love love love their strawberry croissants! Theyre flaky and perfectly sweet. You cannot settle for one... or two... maybe an entire platter! I could probably eat 10 of these in one seating if I wanted to (yikes!).Do yourself a favor and get at least a few of these even if its your first time. One will really not be enough to please your palate!
Best. Pastry. IN. Orange. County.Always a line( but worth the wait). Chicken curry is wonderful.
Awesome fresh strawberry croissant slightly over $1!! You really have to try this. you fall in love right away (well, my wife and her friends did). today i bought some raisin bread with it. The curry here is a little greasy and didnt like the lard inside curry but cutlet was very crispy and fresh. If you are not an Asian, you cant tell the difference anyway. Just try it! It still tastes better than most of curry places. The price was about 10 bucks including chicken cutlet. There are a lot of people bustling here in lunch time and they dont take curry orders on the phone so get there early if you dont like waiting in line forever. other bakeries I also liked are apple croissant and one with a lot of blue berries, My wife loves raisin walnut bread. Pork dumpling was a disappointment though. Its different from regular Chinese dumpling we mostly try. I guess its a Japanese style. Bon Appetit!
Cream Pan has won awards of all kinds for YEARS and for a good reason. Their bread is amazing, their pastry is amazing, even their coffee is! While theyre known for their strawberry croissants (my friend who lived in Paris for years got tears in her eyes when she had their croissant and said it tasted EXACTLY like it did in France) they also make SUPER DELICIOUS Japanese style sandwiches including the kinda odd (but good!) Yakisoba sandwich and Japanese style curry.I know how annoying it is to read hype reviews and be let down so let me assure you: THIS BAKERY IS FANTASTIC AND OF THERES A LINE ITS WORTH IT. I wouldnt lie to you!Btw, the front cashiers are the nicest and most patient people in the world and are SUPER helpful and friendly. If you havent gone here--GO. Its worth it.
Came in an hour before it closed. Suggest going earlier to get any of the items as fresh as possible since they started running out, like the cream and curry pans. Strawberry croissants were great, highly recommend. Banana croissant was maybe just a tad stale, but I liked that as well. Challah bread was nice too. Didnt get the curry katsus, but they looked good as well.
The wait in the long line was worth the delicious strawberry cream croissant. If you are getting more than 6, get them boxed. Each strawberry croissant is currently at $1.70. There are other lunchbox as well as pastries, bread, and drinks. The store is very similar to 85 degrees in terms of its pastry offers.
The food was perfect, unique, and a good price!! Coffee is delicious too!! We were able to eat outside, which is always a nice PLUS!! Quick and efficient service made it a wonderful morning!!
Have you really lived if youve never tried the strawberry croissants? This place is a hidden gem! Such delicious pastries at great prices. Im always down to make the 40 minute drive from north oc for some cream pan!
Good pastries. Long line but it moves fast.
Back in business. As good as ever
Creamy Cream Pan beverages breads, entrees and pastries with an Asian flair are yummy for breakfast, lunch, dinner and time in between. Known for their signature strawberry dessert, my new fav is the best ever chocolate croissant. Each flaky bite has a serious layer of dark chocolate. I planned to just eat a small part and save the rest for later but I ended up eating the whole thing all at once.Lovely boxed entrees in the refrigerated cooler and made to order curry plates with and without meat. Seating when available and a nice area walking distance away across the parking lot with a fountain, tables and umbrellas. Great place for a nice time together eating and enjoying each other’s company.
I love this place so much. Can safely recommend any of these desserts to even the pickiest of my friends (without food allergies). I want to live here.
Delicate, flaky strawberry croissants, delightful!
Line can be long from time to time.Get their strawberry croissants as well as their breads.
I love Cream Pan! As a Japanese, this is the only one bakery I can get what I used to eat every day in Japan. Only one downside is the staff is not friendly and some are even rude. No thank you at the end or just like, We are famous and busy. If you dont like my attitude, then go away! Hope the owners find out some of their staff are like this. Pastries, sandwich and all bread are really delicious though.
Desserts are the greatest. Good value.
Great quality pastries and great coffee.. highly recommended. Love it !!
Seriously good. You cant go wrong with the strawberry banana croissants, strawberry and cream croissants or the Boston creme doughnuts, at least in my humble opinion. If the line appears long upon arrival dont despair, they are excellent at keeping that line moving at a great pace. And everything Ive tried is entirely with the wait.
The wonderful smell outside this Bakery drew me in, they have lunch sandwiches, and dessert croissants banana / strawberry are my favorite. I bought a loaf of freshly baked bread it was very moist and delicious. Prices are reasonable, staff is friendly. Be sure to get there early as there was a long line of people waiting to get in.
Great Strawberry Croissants. Always people.
The very famous Japanese bakery in Tustin is incredibly popular for a reason. Though they actually serve a lot of savory dishes, their most famous item is the strawberry croissant thats got a custard filling stopped off with some powdered sugar. Their different types of breads are also popular.
Omg...went here for the first time and it was AMAZING! My uncle loves the almond croissant more but my favorite was the strawberry croissant. Perfect amount of butter, flakiness, and sweetness. The cream filling is not too much and not too little either, so glad its right by me because this stuff is like crack!
This is just my opinion: I just tried one type of treat at Cream Pan, and it is their STRAWBERRY CROISSANTS: ABSOLTULEY the best Croissants I have ever tasted in my life. Ok lets just put it into prospective. If you have a sweet tooth and dont want anything to sweet like a Krispy Kreme donut then Cream Pan strawberry croissant is for you. You can thank me later!!!
This place is Japanese meet French. They have carry items from their signature cream strawberry croissant to kimbop and other Japanese items. There’s also cake, bread, and pudding. The line might look intimidating and long, but service is really quick. The only thing I wish they did was have recycling. They use a plastic container for each item and a plastic bag to carry everything.
Their cream pan and the pudding is my to go dessert I always get with my brother time to time andThe strawberry cream pan is a very delicious dessertVery crispy outside and soft and chew in the insideThe filling is enough so that you can taste strawberry and bread wellVery goodThe pudding is just an original Japanese pudding that I always had when I was youngAnd it reminds me of my youth every time I get it.
One woman working there did not wear a mask and served customers during Covid 19. I am not fully vaccinated. I am so worried to eat their food that I still put them in the freezer. I hope all staff wear masks.
If you frequently travel to (or are from) Japan, youll be stoked to know Cream Pan is a legitimate pan ya san! Cream pan, ichigo 🥐, katsu sandwich, and their Curry is excellent. Oishikatta 🙌
Strawberry croissant is a must. Other pastries are solid and really like that they have savory options as well. Will typically get a few of them for a small meal.
The food is great! I love their bread. It is great that everyone is wearing gloves, however, the glove that supposes to protect customers is misused. It seems like it is being used to protect their hands because they are touching everything including food that they are serving which defeats the purpose of wearing the glove, being sanitary. I informed the cashier but it seems that he doesnt understand the constructive criticism and brushed me off hence this review. I hope the management sees this and retrained the employees to correctly use the glove. Separate glove for food only.
