Best way to reach is to take a train to Gonda Jn and then go to Tulsipur by Bus.Gonda is very well connected to all major cities of India by rail.If you are travelling by air, state capital Lucknow is the nearest airport.

Shri Mata Devipatan is one of the 52 Shaktipeeth as most of you know. At this place, left shoulder of Mata Parvati had fallen and hence it is called Shaktipeeth. It is one of the most sacred places for Hindus. The temple and its whole area is very clean. There is a pond as well beside the temple which is called Surya Kund. There is Baba Bhairav temple in front of the main temple. One should stand in queues and get Darshan of Mata and then Baba Bhairav by coming out.There are lot of shops outside to buy spiritual items. There is parking facility, for normal size car charges are 50 INR.There will not be any Pandas unlike a few other Shaktipeeth, so here anyone can do puja on their own and at their own discretion as no one will harras for money.Thanks.

The temple of Maa Pateshwari is very sanctum santorum. All those who seek blessings of Devi Maa come here. I have been visiting this temple since my childhood. It is in Tuslipur of Balrampur district of Uttar Pradesh. This temple falls in terai area of Uttar Pradesh and it has a natural boundary with the country of Nepal. During Navratri, a huge fair is held every year. People from in and around the districts of Balrampur come here in large numbers. Many pilgrims from Nepal also come. Earlier, whenever I came, I used to witness the town full of filth and lack of sanitation. But now everything has changed. Local adminstration took a note and renovated it. Now, it has very liveable atmosphere and the cleanliness is good. At the main campus, there are tiles used all over there. Along with the temple, there is also a Pokhra, a sacred pond, in which pilgrims take a holy dip. Water boating is the main attraction. Anyone can take boat ride at a very affordable price of Rs. 10 per head.To reach this temple, anyone can take either road or railway. Connectivity of both mediums is good. Meter gauge railway line runs right side of temple connecting Gonda to Gorakhpur via Balrampur, Tulsipur, Pachperwa, Barhni (Nepal border) etc.I would recommend everyone to visit this place at least once in their life.
