My Pets birthday and we received a free treat at the treat bar and had a great time!

Fish were healthy and employees were helpful and nice.

The staff is amazing. So helpful and friendly. I had a snake I had just bought from a breeder in the area get stuck in one of the air holes in his travel cup, so I rushed to the nearest pet store for help. An employee immediately helped me cut the container to free him. He was such an awesome person. Can’t thank him enough for his help. I also bought a little critter keeper to get him the rest of the way home and it worked perfectly for that. Troy Petco is awesome ❤️

When I went to buy the filtration system. I had to wait 20 minutes for assistance. I went back later on that day for some additional accessories and waited for 45 minutes with no assistance at all. I walked out and went to a competing establishment. I live close and would love frequent the establishment but the customer service is non-existent. I am very disappointed with my experiences here.

Nice staff, no saltwater creatures but a lot of fresh water creatures, fish, crabs, shrimps, etc.

I dont even shop here. I just take my puppy in and feel special.

This review is for the Grooming shop!Shawnee takes amazing care of our pup, Molly. Molly was overdue because of some health issues and Shawnee didn’t even blink at the state she was in! She made her look and feel amazing!

This is where I adopted Junior in 2011 through PAAW. Glad to see theyre still working with them. A great store! Junior is a happy, healthy boy to this day!

Large store thats nicely stocked. This was my first visit to this Petco. Employees there were quite nice.

They do a good job with pet grooming.

Always enjoy going there . Their selection is well stocked and all of the employees are always very helpful.

Not so great grooming experience.Took our pup in for her 1st grooming experience at Petco on Sunday. We gave specific instructions on the fur/hair length, but they were unable to keep our requested length due to some matting of hair under her coat. That was fine and the groomer gave some tips on new combs we could get to prevent matting. They also gave her a cute Christmas bow/clip and some cookies. So initially positive experience. The next day, she had fluid leaking out of her ear when she lied down. Two days later from that, she had a raging ear infection. Poor dog is in so much pain, we expected better from Petco in giving a bath. I have given baths to our pup myself since she was 8 weeks old and never poor water on her head (only use a damp washcloth) and she’s never had an ear infection until this visit. This was our favorite Petco. Definitely can’t return for grooming after this experience.

I have been trying to take my dogs to this vaccination clinic for months it seems at this point. My regular vet is booked out because of covid, so I thought we could get in for shots at petco. This has been a nightmare, and I would have scheduled their shots somewhere else had I known every appointment I’ve made would be cancelled.

I have to say that while we love Petco as a one stop shop for our cattle dog that Carol at the front desk of the area where they do grooming at this location is very rude. She talked down to us and overall provided very poor customer service and was extremely rude. Our dog is a COVID dog and not as socialized as a result. He also tends to be reactive and we have him in training. Regardless of that it’s inappropriate for someone providing a service to shame, degrade, or talk down to a customer who is clearly doing everything they can to make sure their pet and everyone involved have the best experience possible. I would not recommend anyone get their pet groomed here unless they want to be shamed and condescended by front desk staff.

Love going to see the animals.

Tried to return a small item recently to be informed that returns are not allowed due to covid. If a business is open and is glad to sell you their products then I completely disagree that they are not allowing returns. I think they have figured out a creative way to boost their sales for the month. I will not be back.

Not as put-together as other Petcos Ive been to. Fish area wasnt looking very good, store was kind of messy and there werent many employees in the checkout area or available to help. But its covid and Im sure they are doing their best.

I have had multiple returns. I bought a glowfish tank and it leaked on the first day I set it up. I think it may have been on their shelf for a while, not sure. Not their fault, just a bad product and was given a prompt refund.

Petco in Troy grooming:Manager, Carol, and worker talked to me rudely when there was a problem. Grooming manager used a rude tone, then walked away and I had to talk to store Assistant Manager, Carrie, who also did nothing to remediate the situation. Grooming may be fine, customer service is poor. I won’t leave my dog with them again.

Lizzy was such a great help and is very passionate about animals and her work.

I love Petco, I always find what Im looking for. I especially love the people that work there. They are so knowledgeable and nice, always there to help you.

Online ordering and in store pickup was as easy and streamlined as it gets. Absolutely perfect. Friendly and fast.

Been going there for grooming for years but after my last experience I wont be back. Nothing to do with the actual grooming service just the rude and unprofessional treatment by the so called manager before I even had a chance to get my bud groomed. Enough said.

I am a senior with 2 little Guinea Pigs and have owned them 5 years. Have been purchasing their kibble, treats, beds, cages and toys from the Troy store. I am frequently sent EMAIL notices about deals or points. I have NO idea what this is other than I have a number on a plastic card that I show the cashier. If someone had explained THIS to me, I would be a better shopper, but at the onset, 5 years ago, no one did at that time. On 7-16 approaching the manager, I requested an explanation and he gave me one.

I can find the NaturVet product I use there. I also use their grooming service. Well-organized and clean. Help provided as needed.

We got 2 new Betta fish. Some were dead, floating around the top, couldnt swim, and luckly we got 2 good ones. They also dont clip the birds nails.

The store is clean and the staff is generally friendly. The entryway could be a bit more lively though. Simple pallets of stacked foods make this look like more of a warehouse club than an inviting pet supply store.

I have two kittens. We bought a toy from Petco, and they loved it! Also, it has a great variety of cat food and cat toys. Beautiful fish, too.And the staff is very helpful and friendly.

My puppy loves coming here and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable, I highly recommend participating in their puppy play time on the weekends at 1pm

Petco Carries many of the food brands our cats like,especially the store brand which has 2 kitten flavors. Kitten food variety is hard to find..mostly chicken...&the price is right.

They had just what I needed and it was ready for pick-up right away.

It was my first time at the store and I was very impressed with the cleanliness, size of the store and how friendly and efficient the staff was. I will definitely return in the future!

This Petco Grooming salon is awesome and Jackie is the best. They got me in same day after PetSmart canceled the morning of our appointment. They are professional and friendly. I was late picking up my dog and they were so kind. Jackie delivered Rocco to me and took her time to explain how the cut went and asked that I contact them if there are any problems. We will be back!

Easy parking, quick store pickup

I am extremely disappointed with the customer service at this store. We took our new puppy to pick up puppy supplies, but the night before we made a list on Petcos website. When we got to the cashier we where shocked by the much higher amount then what the website had posted. We got home and looked it over online and the store is selling for much higher than online we spent at least 150 more by going in the store. When I called the manager and he had stated thats just how they operate and after insisting they stated if I wanted my money back that I was overcharged I would have to come back to the store (which is an hour drive) during the stay home order with the receipt the next day or I couldnt get my money I was overcharged back. This is the worst customer service I have ever received and will NEVER return to a Petco again due to the experience. I recommend to pick a much better pet store that doesnt change prices on there customers so much.

The Troy Petco is a great store. The staff are always friendly and helpful, and they have the products I want for my cats. Its also clean and well lit.

This location is amazing. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Our older cat loves going along with us to pick up supplies (he loves the attention he gets from the staff). Petco has allowed us to switch to a higher quality food than we have been able to get for our boys at an affordable price anywhere else, and the refillable litter station has been a lifesaver.

A little pricey compared to other pet supply stores. The staff member who helped us was a know it all and insisted I was wrong about something I did not ask about, and that I do know Im correct about. Was pushy and irritating. They had very little variety/ number of fish, possibly due to current circumstances, and the fish that I purchased died.

I went in to buy grass for out cats. I noticed that the the grass and catnip for sale needed watering and suggested that to the sales clerk and she immediately watered it so that future customers would be able to buy a perfect product.

Me and my dog little G go to Petco to get treats and dog food. He enjoys going in the store to meet other dogs and the attention that he is given by the employees. Which are very friendly and knowledgeable on things that you ask about. I will be back keep up the great work. Shout out to The Grooming crew.

If only I could give less than one star. I recently relocated to the Troy area. I had been taking my dog to Petco for her grooming going on 5 years. Always got great service and attention from the groomers. I made an appointment for 3:30 on a Sunday. We arrived a little early. Looked like there was only one person; I could see her through the glass door. No biggie, as we were early. She turned around at some point and saw me, but kept on working. A few minutes later she turned around and yelled that it would be 30 minutes. I yelled back that I had an appointment for 3:30. She looked up and kept working. Didnt come out, didnt say sorry the were overbooked. Nothing. Maybe she was having a bad day, but she shouldnt be working on animals and she will definitely never work on mine. Petco lost a customer.

We mainly visit PETCO to refill our 2 kitty litter buckets. Its so convenient and inexpensive. We always like to see the kitties at the front of the store too.

I was easily able to find everything I needed, the store was clean and well organized, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the checkout process was simple and efficient.

They keep animals such as Cockatoos and parakeets that should be kept in social environments isolated from one another. Its probably animal abuse based on what weve learnt about how these animals need interaction and stimulation. Do not visit or support

Love going in there, Sad to leave without adopting anything and everything, Most of the dog and cat food is over priced for the same brands and everything, you can buy in walmart for cheaper but a lot of options

I got a gift card to this store that I ended up giving away because my experiences here were so bad. Staff is so rude and the prices dont match their online prices. They wonder why brick and mortar stores go out of business. I have never had a pleasant shopping experience here.

Good place to buy fish. Of course some fish didnt make it but I have just 2 now and they are strong fish and still alive after months.

Went straight from the rescue where I adopted my dog to Petco. Despite an anxious little dog and owner, Mary patiently took us under her wing and walked us around the whole store explaining what we would need and sharing her extensive knowledge about dog food, clothes, toys, beds, everything. She was an absolute pleasure to work with and still always asks about my sweet new baby whenever she sees me at the store. So thoughtful and helpful.☺️🐶

Its a pretty small store with GREAT Staff!I like using the grooming services because they know my pup does better in the morning without a lot of other dogs. I appreciate that they dont keep him all day.

Please update your business hours. Several other people were outside at 8pm trying to get in.
