This is my favourite Korean place in Toronto for sure. Ive only ever ordered takeout since the pandemic started and everything has always been INCREDIBLE. The sauce for the don katsu is the best thing in the world and they always give a ton of sides. Sometimes the ordering process is a bit chaotic, especially on weekends, but the food more than makes up for it.
My fav. spot in Korea town! Never disappoints (unless the line is way too long and I have to go somewhere else). Prices and portions are great. This restaurant is always full for a reason ;) I highly recommend them!
First time here. Food is super delicious!!! My friend got spicy fried rice and it was so oo oo good!! Staff super nice and prices very fair I had no idea my plate would be that big lol I didnt finish it all I took half home. I did find a hair in my meal and was disgusted but I didnt want to cause a commotion as these things happen.
Affordable, filling and high quality meat compared to other Korean bbq joints. Will come back for sure
I used to enjoy the food here a lot but recently they have routinely missed items in my food delivery. When I contacted them, they offered no solution or apologies, simply told me they were too busy. With so many good restaurants in this neighborhood, unlikely to order from here again
Lot of choices, tasty food, friendly service and value for money.
I ordered spicy bulgogi through Uber eats and I paid over $18. And you guys said bulgogi will served with steamed rice but I recevied only bulgogi. Are you kidding me? So I called them and they asked me to pick up. You guys made a mistake. Why should I pick up? Even they hung up the phone while i was talking… I never use this restaurant.
Right away when you walk in you notice the mom and pop atmosphere of the restaurant.. Customer service is is very attentive, and everyone in the restaurant who is eating seems very happy.
Good value for money but its a korean restaurant where none of the employees are Korean. When i order 탕수육 and if their answer is whats that? Just tell me the number on the menu we have a problem here.
Really enjoyed their dishes, especially the glass noodles :)
The food tastes great. The price is on the lower end of all the restaurants in Korean Town. They offer 10% discount on cash payment.
Ordered from this restaurant, received incorrect items, and they did absolutely nothing to correct the situation -- would not send another driver, did not even take any time to brainstorm how they could make it right without us having to jump through hoops. Just said no immediately. Told them it would result in a bad review if they didnt rectify things, so this is me following through.
Food price and tase here is exceptional. The serving portion is huge that doesnt compromise the taste. The only downside is the small space
Been years and it’s still the best tasting and best value korean spot in ktown. Bulgogi here is so consistent and so good.
I came here today for takeout. As I was waiting to be served the man behind the counter spat in the sink while washing a glass... and not just a little spit he cleared his nose. He was also aware of my presence because he asked if I was sitting in or taking out. Absolutely disgusted and will never be back.
Great food for a good price would give 5 stars if they clean up the eating area needs a renovation
This used to be one of my favourite Korean restaurants. They’ve been messing up my orders for the past few times. They even overcharged me one of the times. Quality of food has gone down. Make sure you request your receipt.Have been going here since I was a teenager, I can only give this place so many chances. This was the last time.
Recently found this place and ordered the bulgogi and it was amazing 👏🏾 taste delicious and amazing portions . ive ordered twice in a row now and it was perfect everytime with side of thr milkies soft pop so good
Let me be the 1000th reviews! LolLove this place! Cheap price, large quantity and super delicious food🤤 definitely one of the best Korean food Place I’ve been to
It was a nice cozy little place with some decent quality food. My disappointment comes from the traditional pork bone soup flavour, which wasnt right... it tasted like they rushed it and didnt steep the bones long enough. The dumplings were fantastic on the other hand. They definitely need AC serving spicy food in the summer. Worth the price for sure, but there are better Korean soup places out there for sure..
WOW! This has to be one of the best Korean food places Ive ever been too. The have a large quantity of food ranging from meat dishes; meat; seafood and so on. Im pescatarian, so there werent so many options, but just enough for my girlfriend and I to eat. Large quantities, good tasting and affordable pricing on everything. Service was quick and the washroom was SO CLEAN. 5/5 would come again.
I’m Korean but the foods were terrible. It was too salty and didn’t taste like real korean foods. I was disappointed :( But the staffs were so kind
The beef bulgogi is amazing 100% recommend and big portions for the price
A hole in the wall, nothing special about the layout or interior but the food is good hence worth going into. Food comes in large portions. Non greasy. With lots of options. They give those mini dish apps and can ask for refills as well. The pricing is appropriate and relative to the food given. Would come here again if i pass by or just want some standard good korean food.
Main difference btw finch and downtown location? The service. The time it takes me to get my food and bills is too long in finch and the food takes forever to come out. In terms of taste they are both the same. The rice cakes are spicy and often times you are not really coming for deep and rich taste but rather to get your spicy rice cakes in your tummy. Price is decent too. They have set menu for 30 dollars which comes with the rice, eggs and some rice cakes. Only disappointing thing is the stale a#$ seaweed. Thats my only complaint. When you dip it in the sauce you forget it but the other reviewers comments are true.
Never had a bad experience here. Very good prices for above average portion sizes. Staff always ready to accommodate, respectful even when busy.Very accommodating even to children. Best comfort food. Nice aura, can even dine alone and still have a nice time.Food is honestly one of the best Korean spots in that area!!!
Located in college town this place is best for some cheap quality home cooked Korean food. The wait on a Sunday night was almost 30 mins but well worth it. My friends and I ordered the sweet n sour chicken, galbi, spicy octopus with pork and the pork rib soup. We all loved each and every dish. Food was seasoned very well and some dishes came out on a hot iron skillet. Dont pass on any of their souls because they are very generous with their meats. This spot cant get tight during dinner times. Expect a long wait and tight spaces to sit. Food doesnt take long to come out. As far as value, you cannot go any where and get 4 large entrees for right around $85. Highly recommend this spot for some authentic Korean food.
I always get the spicy chicken bulgogi (56) and stir-fried rice with chicken (91 or 93) whenever I order from here. Generous portions and amazing taste.
We miss going to this restaurant since moving out of the neighbourhood! In pre-pandemic times, there was often a line out the door for seating, and every time I would happily wait — the food is so good for a very reasonable price. It’s hard to beat the value for what you get! “Yummy Korean Food” indeed...the name does not lie.
If you are looking for authentic Korean food with good portion, here’s the restaurant to be!!The outside and indoor green-wall decoration is not attractive but when you walk-in the delicious smell invades the atmosphere of doubt.Fast service, efficient staff and great meal portions to fill your stomach.Their menu has picture for each item.A-must Appetizer is the Korean pancake to share with your group :) I guess they are known for its stew, because they have lots of options. The soups are hot and spicy! I wasn’t expecting the Bimbibap lots of rice in beneath. Overall good restaurant for reasonable price. Enjoy your visit.
The food is as delicious as Korean foods that Ive eaten in Korea but the dishes were dirty. found lipstick marks on the glass of water they gave us.update: went back there again to try galbi. I think they are more careful about cleanliness of their dishes now. I absolutely loved the food. will go back there again
The dim sum is amazing! One of my favorite spots in the city. They can be pretty busy because its THAT GOOD (so call ahead for takeout).
Love this place. The food is great and affordable.
Huge quality consistency issue, ordered through uber eats many times and each time you dont know what food you will get. Used to go in person often but lately the food quality has been hugely disappointing.
Great dishes at reasonable prices with friendly staff.
What to try? They are known for their sweet and sour Korean fried chicken. The chicken was tasty and unlike Chinese sweet and sour chicken, the Korean versions sauce is lighter in colour and they added some spice powder but the dish is not spicy. Chicken are not fried like nuggets but rather as strips of chicken. The dish is pretty big so you can share with at least two ppl. If you order more food, rmb you hv side dishes too!I realized that each Korean restaurant makes their gamja tang or their porkbone soup a little bit differently. But the general ingredients are the same. I liked their porkbone soup too but its different from other restaurants in that it did not come with potatoes. Still, a soup to have with a meal is always good!Last tip?Dont be afraid to order more side dishes again. Its okay to order another round of the side dishes if you really like it, but of course dont go overboard reordering the side dishes multiple times!
Ive loved in South Korea...this is the best youll find in Toronto!
This place sure knows how to please their clients. Always with a nice attitude. The food is affordably priced, constantly fresh and clean.
We ordered pork bone soup one day, and it took for over an hour. They didn’t inform us at all. After waiting over an hour, I asked for the update. The staff answered very disrespectfully without answering my question and then just hung up the phone. We DO NOT recommend this place at all. We are NAVER going to order this place again.
There are a few complaints about quality of dishes that come through food delivery apps....stop using them!! They cost the restaurant too much and so they raise prices and face complaints for that. I always call ahead, hit the TTC as its conveniently located between Bathurst and Christie, and make the trip back to Woodbine and Danforth and the food is always good. Now that summer is here, enjoy the food in nearby Christie Pitts, its so very lovely.
My FAVOURITE Korean restaurant in Toronto... maybe just favourite.. period. Since there’s no dine in anymore, best to call in and order so it’s ready for pick up in 20-30 mins. Make sure you check the menu out (know the numbers of your order) because it’ll save you and the employee time.Great consistent food/flavours. Great portions for a very affordable price. My top picks:Kimchi fried riceBulgogi on hot plateSpicy pork on hot plateKimchi pancake (no seafood)
Tried 3 dishes here, pork bone soup, seafood pancake, and tofu stew... all the recipes were terrible. Like imitation Korean food. First and last time
Loooove this place! Always delicious food.
Sat there for 25 minutes and wasn’t even acknowledged :/ Disappointed. Left without even trying the food I walked 40 minutes to try
Food was hot and sizzling, and hands down delicious with good quantity. Service was quick too and enjoyed the food a lot. The only thing i wish they could work on is the space management. They squeeze you between people to sit and can be really small and suffocating especially when u are about yo enjoy the great food!!!!
Tasty food with big portions and fair price.
If there is one thing I love, its pork bone soup (gamjatang) and this restaurant delivers in spades. They also have excellent bulgogi, pork and chive dumplings, and more still to offer from their extensive menu. The restaurant is a bit small, so seating can be a problem during high-traffic meal times, but its often worth the wait for what they have to offer.Would definitely eat there again.
Best Korean food around this area. Prices are affordable and portions are huge. Suggest you order in before as they are very busy during the weekends. Recommended dishes - Bulgogi(Any meat), Sweet and spicy chicken.
One of my fav go to korean bbq place
We came here on a Thursday afternoon and it wasnt busy which was great for us since we didnt have to wait in line. We ordered tofu bibimbap, omurice and ramen with rice cakes. For the 3 dishes it cost about $31. It was just for me and my husband and we were able to make 3 meals with it! Very good value, large portions and delicious. I also love the banchan that came with our order.
We like budae jjigae here, def much cost efficient for my money compared with Chinatown or little tokyo traditional Korean spots! No need to go finch for quality Korean treats!
One of my favorite restaurants in Toronto. Ever since I discovered it 4 years ago, Ive always returned, at least once a month. My favorite is the JapChae and the Kumbochi. DELISH!
The food was really great, service could be a little bit better but their food makes up for it.
A little slow but AMAZING food, really well priced with extra Korean sides.
I ordered 63 KamJa Tang and 6 Korean Pancake with Seafood and Veg - portions were fantastic for both of them and I loved the Korean Pancake with Seafood and Veg. I will def order from them again, thanks so much for great food with fantastic quality.
Great food and really affordable prices, Ive eaten here quite a few times and have had great experiences with the staff! The sweet and spicy chicken is fantastic
Very popular Korean restaurant! I always order from here. Large portions, plus you get two little bites on the house! Their kimchi is the best!
Really good really cheap idk what else I could ask for
Favourite Korean restaurant in Toronto. The spicy bulgogi and sweet and spicy chicken are delicious. A true hidden gem in Toronto
