We, at Sarvalayam believe that the cruelest thing that can happen to a person is feeling unloved and unwanted in their golden years.In India, there are around 100 million senior citizens, 33% of them live below poverty with nobody to take care of them. We are a small organization that cannot address this problem.But, in our own small way, we take in the most needy and helpless older people and give them the best care we can as we believe every drop makes an ocean.For many older people who don’t have a roof over their heads or a place to call their own, Sarvalayam is a safe haven where they can live their lives with dignity and interact with their peers.?Our trustees are humble members of the society from different walks of life, but with one common belief and goal.?The most worthwhile thing to do is to try to put happiness in the lives of others?Never give up on anybody.
