Temple HistoryArulmigu Kottaimariamman Temple, TiruppurA farmer who once lived in the area was a devout devotee of Ambal. He used to raise cows and give the rest of the milk to the children to go to his use. Once upon a time, only one of the cows he raised did not milk regularly. The suspected farmer thought someone was stealing milk from the cow and kept an eye on it. Apache, who then went alone from the herd, spontaneously extracted milk at one point. The devotee, astonished to see this, went nearby and looked. A torch was visible there. Frightened he returned home. That night, Mariamman, who appeared in her dream, said she had just woken up at the spot where the cow had spilled milk. The next day he told people what had happened. After that, the people together inspected the place where the torch appeared. There was an Ambal statue there. They built a temple to that self (which appeared automatically). The Three Great Goddesses:Mariamman, who arose spontaneously in this temple, is in solitude. It is a special vision that she has two more arrows spontaneously raised to her right and left. It is said that the three great goddesses Saraswati, Lakshmi and Shakti have thus arisen. Ambal on the right is a distinctive feature of being self-shaped in white. Another Mariamman graces the solitary in the form of a child. On the abdomen, there is a face with a crown on the head. Ambal, who killed the monster, is said to have suppressed him. Tipu Sultan, who ruled Mysore, built a fort at this place for his soldiers to rest. Thus, the place is called Ambal Fort Mariamman. She is also known as the Millionaire.Highlights:★ Spontaneously awakened Mariamman is in solitary confinement. It is a special vision that she has two more arrows spontaneously raised to her right and left.
