I was surprised that it is so big and maintained extremely well. If it is not too sunny, you can walk amongst the butterfly. Dont make a lot of noise or wear bright colours as the butterflies will fly away. Enjoyed the visit. Good place to take kids.

Asia second largest butterfly 🦋 park. Very peaceful place. Good place to hangout with your kids. Lot of trees are there 🌲. You can find the tree for your zodiac sign.You can find lots of peacock 🦚 and butterfly 🦋. If they maintain the water sports activities it would be great in morning time otherwise evening is better time to spend here.

Maintained by Tamil Nadu Forest Department, very neat and best tourist spot in trichy district. As per the name of the park tons of butterflies are available in the park, lot of children games, mini train,water falls are good . Hats off to the Tamil Nadu Forest Department.

Park looks good and place is clean. They have many kid friendly games in butterfly park. Only Tea/Coffee is available in the canteen.

A beautiful place and dedicated staff. Maintenance superb. The environment is very clean. A place must visit by the locals and the travellers to see and enjoy the greenaries and botanical.

Butterfly Park is a must visit place if you come down to Trichy. There are children park, small trains, small boats for kids, and plenty of plants and trees. Make sure you visit the place during cooler timings because the butterflies will get into hiding during very hot timings.

Kids will definitely have a go at this place... It has a nice play area for kids and a toy train. On the whole its a beautiful park for all ages, well maintained.Though there is nothing much for youngsters, people who like nature and greenery would like this place.

Pleasantly surprised that there is such a massive green park with lush trees, plants and grass in Trichy. Felt like I was in Ooty botanical garden. This is a massive park that kids and parents can explore for minimum 2hrs. Plan your trip accordingly. Driving to the park is bit lengthy as the road is small and goes through residential streets. Paid parking is 20rs for car, located after the entrance of the park. Only disappointment is that half the play area equipment are broken. But the trampoline at 10rs for 5min is of very good entertainment value to small kids. Also includes a boat ride for kids in a shallow pond.

Nice place for family time, only the road to the butterfly park after Srirangam is too narrow for two 4 wheelers to pass.

Nice place for family outing. The butterfly observatory was closed. Only few were roaming. However we enjoyed the place. There was a coffeeshop but it was closed. Many felt the need of snacks and cool drinks after roaming for hours.

The park had many beautiful flower exhibits, playground and park with swings, etc. for kids. There is also a kids train for a reasonable fee of Rs. 30 and inflatable climbing pad for Rs 20. No stalls inside but drinking water available. Could easily spend 2-3 hours at park. Also Cauvery river and Srirangam temple are nearby. Could get down to Cauvery river and wash feet. Stall outside provides fresh juice, snacks, etc. Washroom inside park is neat the one near childrens playground

Butterfly park , kids are really enjoyed.Entry few is reasonable and parking also.Some negative points are there but still I am given four star bcz this is good start for this kind of project.I reduce the rating bcz of the below .The water dank named as RO but its normal water I am not sure about the cleaningRest room is not properly cleanedIn this park few rides are there but its not worth am not meaning the money example train rideThe canteen is ok.The parking place road is narrow and damaged i.e the way to parking

A large area covering around 25 acres of land. An ideal place to spend time with friends and family. Really a good place for kids to spend time as there is a park for them to play. Nice little huts and fountains to spend time. Though undergoing some construction work, its a decent place to take kids. Decent washrooms and a cafeteria for snacks.

Nice place in trichy for relaxation. Usually its flowing with family & couple crowd. Its also acts as a nice place for couple photography too. Greenery is maintained nicely by forest dept who take care of it.

Butterfly Theme is a good concept. Looks like government spent considerable amount (nearly 8.5 crore) in constructing it.For Entry, ticket has been charged is Rs. 5 for kids and Rs. 10 for adults. Currently maintenance is bad. Stagnated water, glass structure is closed without maintenance, kids play area has broken items (please refer attached pictures). We got a chance to see model butterflies but not the Living one (we visited this park few weeks ago). Garden has average maintenance.My question to corporation/government/forest department – what is the use of coming up with new projects without proper fund allocation for implemented projects or showing incapability in maintenance?Every year Trichy corporation shows surplus budget, in such case why the public properties and tourist spots are poorly maintained?I can understand the concept of collecting less entry ticket amount to serve all section of people. But it results in poor revenue and couldn’t maintain themselves and always look for funding from corresponding department. Do we really have proper planning & design considering maintenance phase? When there is increase in ticket fee, obviously park management team have responsibility of maintaining the park to that level. With some identification in government approved ID’s, please provide concession or reduced ticket amount for downtrodden people.Make city tourism profitable one for local administration/government and provide good experience for visitors. Instead of relying only on taxes, it would be better corporation starts to think about generating revenue via tourism. Coming up with name’s sake parks with poor maintenance wont help anyone. It is wastage of tax money/people money.Suggestions To Corporation:1) Have real exhibits in the park to show different stages of butterfly.2) Existing closed huge glass structure can have different type of butterflies flying around. It will be good experience for kids.3) Butterfly motion experience for kids with designed structure. Like fly with butterfly concept.4) Close snapshot of butterfly head, eyes, etc5) Make a look like of different butterfly stages with touch and feel experience.6) Show pictures/3d animation of garden with and without butterfly. And make the kids to think about how the garden will be lively with these small beautiful creatures.7) Explain about what attracts butterfly, how high it will fly, eating habits.., what gives different color, eye vision etc..8) photos with Butterfly dress-up9) 3D/4D show theatre with 20 mins show on butterfly, etcThe main intention should be when kids leave this park they should have learned about butterfly in joyful manner. I hope our corporation improves this park with more features and properly maintain it.If it happens surely it will be a must visit place in Trichy.We always satisfy with whatever provided but I think we need to think beyond and make a high-level mark in involved subjects/projects/schemes.

The Tropical Butterfly Conservatory, is located in the Upper Anaicut reserve forest in Srirangam. It covers 25 acres. The conservatory lies in the river Cauvery and Kollidam drainage basin. The Conservatory consists of Butterfly Park and Nakshatravanam star forest. The conservatory falls under Tiruchirappalli Forest Division. This park is the largest butterfly park in Asia

Nice place to enjoy.....good to visit in cool weather times.....visit to this place will make us free.... surrounded by chill environment.....kids will have more fun here.... extraordinary maintenance.......we can find respective trees of our zodiac signs.....so many varieties of plants,trees and flowers are present.....poor transportation

Its a good experience. Its in the edge of Srirangam island. Maintained well by Forest Department. A toy train ride, Kids boating, fountain showers, variety of tress and flower plants are good attractions. Entry fee 10 Rupees for adults & kids above 10 years and 5 rupees for kids below 10 years. Train ride and other games charges are separate. Train ride 50 rupees for adults and kids above 10 years, 30 rupees for kids below 10 years. Boat riding Rupees 20 and only for kids less than 10 years. Good place for kids. Need to rely on own transportation to reach as only very limited public transport available from Srirangam.

It is an excellent place to entertain kids in Trichy. You must need 2-3 Hours to spend with your kids and for little snacks.

Entrance fee very cheap 10rs only, big park, very well maintained. If going in car ask for main road then go. Google maps took us through a very narrow road where only 1 car can fit.

An amphitheatre and additional irrigation systems are presentThis park has garden, fountain, large butterfly glass house, fountain and hut to take rest and have food.The Park also had a 1.2 km walkway for the visitors. The garden is full of nectar flowers and host plants to attract butterflies. A big blue tiger butterfly sculpture can be seen at entrance in the lawn.The garden has fountains, artificial pounds, suspended bridges, butterfly houses, sculptures of caterpillars, butterflies to attract visitors

Tropical Butterfly Conservatory at MelurBeautiful park spread over 25 acres. The road to the park was narrow but a scenic route, quite a drive from Srirangam.The park is well maintained and walk across the park would take 1-1.5 hours. There is kids play area and a small refreshment stall inside the park.We could spot 5-6 common species of butterfly only. Was a good experience overall.

Now the maintenance of the park got improved...Butterfly park is a wonderful place to be with butterflies and dragonflies...We can see at least 35 varieties of them...Never try to touch and play with the butterflies coz theyre very soft...Enjoy their flying styles and speed and the way they love humans...You can see more humming birds also...Come and fill your soul with Nature...

One refreshment shop inside the park and no drinking water. Website says free entry but there is an entrance fee for adults and children. Preferably good to visit in evening time. Maintained by government. Far away from the city and very narrow roads. Few bad potholes and very careful if you are driving when it is raining.They will charge Rs.40 for car parking and it’s a open ground parking.Entry ticket is reasonable but if you are taking a digital camera Rs.500 and if video camera Rs.1000 in digital India. So I have used mobile camera for free. Man come on, people come here to click some good pictures and they charge insane.Park is quite big and good, not well maintained though. It has public bathroom and a play area for kids. You can find few private huts too.You can get some snacks inside like biscuits, cool drink, milkshakes etc. but it’s better to buy outside and take it.

Park is near Srirangam temple and adjacent to the River. Fully green lush garden. You can see lot of butterflies. They charge INR10 for adults and INR5 for Children.

It was ok. The environment was good. But nothing much. It is basically a big park with some butterfly. There were many peacocks though. I counted atleast 10 throughout the park. Though they say there is a show at 5 pm in the evening. but since bus transport is scarce after 5pm to the park not many people attend it.

Lots of improvement(replacing broken rides also)happening like new rides being installed. Butterflies are very rare due to the hot weather. Could have kept some Butterflies& breeding rooms,etc for public visit&awareness as hardly see Butterflies. But Really nice initiative. Keep maintaining as greenish&wet as summer approaching. Public Cooperation really needed as theyre casual by plucking,throwing garbage everywhere. Overall expecting the good maintenance as current now.

The best place for relaxation in Trichy,which needs more maintenance in terms from the illiterate public.They should keep the place clean,rather than expecting the govt to maintain it.Such a huge area which is naturally located in between the bank of Kaveri and Mukkombu.Has a huge parking for bike and car.Sadly there are no butterflies around the park but has a wide variety of trees and saplings,can see lot of peacocks.Recommended to go during evening time.Closing time is 6pm

It is well maintained as compared to other tourist places in trichy. There is a food shop, kids play area and beautiful gardens. Additionally the park is next to the bank of river kaveri. So dont miss out on spending some time near the river. Ideal time is around 4-5 in the evening. Also the way to the park is narrow enough for just one car to pass..so prefer a two wheeler

There is a bus service from place near Srirangam Gopuram but its not much frequent and on weekends too much crowded.3. There is another option if there is no water in Cauvery there is one bus stop just opposite side of river ( I dont remember the name) where buses are much frequent.Facilities available1. Drinking water2. Toilets3. Benches to seat4. Snack shop with snacks, biscuits, ice creams, pastries , cold drinks etc5. Playing facility for kids6.
