I have no hesitation to recommend Dr. Premkumar for any ortho related issues, He is one among the best doctors available in our country,.My father(Mr P.P.Sasidharan) had undegone an ankle surgery in 2012 and my mother (Mrs Omana Sasidharan)had recently undergone knee joint replacement surgery.We had the best care and services from the doctor and his team before and after surgery in both cases. Both of my parents recovered from their ailments very fast.

My mom, Mrs. Valsala Kumar, has had knee pain for some time and after meeting Dr. Premkumar Viswanath, who was very helpful with his diagnosis, she decided to go through knee replacement surgery for both of her knees.Surgery went well and Dr. Premkumar assured us that he’s confident in the outcome. This gives us immense hope and relief. They made her walk the day after the surgery with a walker, but after just 48 hours my mum was able to walk on her own without any support. Which was pretty incredible to see.We are home now, and apart from the discomfort due to post surgery swelling and bandages etc. she’s still able to do her physiotherapy exercises and walk inside the house for brief intervals. She’s on pain killers and other medicines, so that’s helping as well.So far we are glad to see the progress and thankful to the doctor and his staff at Max Care Hospital for their expertise and helping us through this process. I’m looking forward to updating this review once after the stitches come out and once more in 3 to 6 months time when life has hopefully returned to normal, or better than normal for my mum.

I underwent the knee replacement - minimally invasive total knee arthroplasty in the month of November, under Dr. Premkumar. The whole process was professional and smooth, almost perfect as to how a medical treatment should ideally be.I was given detailed counselling on what to expect before, during and after the surgery.Dr. Premkumars team of doctors- Dr Ramachandran and Dr Bijoy and other staff members - Merin, Vijitha and all others were always prompt in responding to any queries and in providing the required assistance.After the surgery, in about 16 hours, I was able to walk (with support, of course). In about 10 days, I could walk without support. Detailed physiotherapy session and dos and donts were also informed to me before the discharge.Also worth mentioning is the facilities and overall experience at Max Care.

He did joint alignment surgery for me at Daya Hospital, Thrissur. I consulted him on his own private clinic near Peringav, then followed surgery. Highly professional approach, less cost, now its done more 8 years, still no problem.. my left shoulder joint is clear now...

My Mother (Gracy Thomas) had a total knee replacement done by Dr. Premkumar in 2016. He is an expert in this area and he did this sugery via quadriceps sparing technique which has helped the recovery so fast. From the third day after the surgery she started doing her activities of daily living without any assistance. Above all, he has the patience to listen to our concerns and he gives advice and he is very considerate and approachable. The postoperative care was good. I am so grateful to doctor helping the recovery of Petalla fracture especially after the first surgery failure in Amritha institute of medical science in Cochin...I have seen little bit both surgeries, how .the way handled.
