This beach is secluded and does not attract many visitors. You should head here if you want some private time. I would recommend going here on a two wheeler and not a car. A major portion of the beach is covered by rocks so getting into the water is not ideal.

A good beach witch surfing waves natural rocks makes this place look great locals are friendly not all of them . no rush in this place .. good ambience and silence .. sea waves are great here not much to explore near to varkala odaym beach their is a mosque nearby and kappil beach is 1.5 km away and nearby . A rocky beach with amazing views, with a lot of coconut trees in view. It was extremely calm and uncrowded when I visited (Thursday evening).Another plus point is you can drive right up to the beach and the drive is pleasant too. The roads are pretty narrow though.

Untouched and unspoilt by tourist activities, the Edava beaches are the virgin stretches circling a blue lagoon where sea and backwaters run parallel divided by a more-than-one km of straight road. There is also an estuary that connects the sea with the backwaters here

This beach is not that much big one however its a nice place to enjoy the cool waves.There is some rocks adjacent to the beach,in which the strong waves make a cracker sound.Be very careful when you approach the rocks there may chances of slipping. Overall its a nice beach.

Very Beautiful beach. Always calm. View from the cliff is superb. No shops there. Small road to reach the beach. Car drive is not possible. Two wheeler drive is the best option to reach this beach. This place is well suitable for photography. Bathing is not possible here. Maximum 45 minutes we can spent here. Many resorts and homestay available near to this beach.

Edava Beach is a serene beach located in Edava Village of Thiruvananthapuram District of Kerala State of India. Edava is a famous tourist spot located near Varkala. Serene and beautiful backwaters and beaches attracts lots of tourist to this place.There is an estuary that links Edava-Nadayara lake to the Arabian sea here. During the monsoon season, water gushes out of the lake and reaches the sea; people from surrounding villages come to watch this natural phenomenon.
