Beautiful place.Cold climate. No entry fee.Have many small Brooks .Forest area.
Nice place. Experience the nature
A wonderful experience. Many of the buildings have been vandalised by the people and the animals. Yet the beauty is much revealing. The rain has begun by this month so its better to have umbrellas if you wish got any time soon. Though the whole place has only 2 small tea stall, you can get food from one of them if you let them know in advance. The people who lived there are vacating to a near by town called Vithura. Vithura is the only near by place with shops and ATMs.
Absolutely a wonderful space to visit. Travelling through the dense forest is a marvelous experience. Those who wish to vist have to take permission from the forest checkpost on the bottom of the hills... Permission is given upto 2.00pm. After a travel of 3km through forest we can reach Bonacaud top station... Old tea factory, waterfalls are fabulous seeing here. We can take bath, watch peacock and deer... A must visit place. From their we can hire to 25GB bungalow known as the ghost house...
One of the approachable beautiful places in Trivandrum. Ideal for a get away from the bustle of city life. However may have to take permission from forest department if it is not during Kurisumala season. The mist clad mountains and the old colonial type buildings are the prize catch here for eyes. The Merchiston tea estate which is closed for two decades sent the employees jobless and those dilapidated buildings are a sore sight.
