This Masjid is located in the busy market area of Trivandrum Chalai Bazaar. Very convenient place for the business people around and also for those who visit the market for purchases. Vast area for performing Muslim prayers peacefully. Its fully packed with worshippers during Friday Jumma prayers and also during the Holy month of Ramadan. During Ramadan, breaking fast in this masjid is spectacular.

Beautiful mosque...most amazing thing i find was the ablution area pond...it was full of big cat fish..it was quite fascinating...the mosque was quite spacious too..not sure about the Friday prayers if it could accommodate everyone...

Speeches in Malayalam will start at 12:45pm.Presently (2020), Ustad Shaikh Abdul Shakoor Qasimi (All India Muslim Personal Law Board member) leads Jumua prayer here.Here, you can feel an atmosphere of spiritual and emotional heights...

This mosque was renovated in contemporary style by the famous Hindu architect G.Gopalakrishnan.The imposing tall white minaret of the mosque is visible from East fort.This mosque is frequented mostly by the Hanafi muslim traders of Tamil origin having business in Chalai market.Hence,the prayer timings of the mosque are in accordance with the Sunni Hanafi rites unlike the majority Shafi mosques of Thiruvananthapuram.
