One such place is Ambalapatt Hotel which is an institution in beef fry for a long time.The beef fry here is different to the beef roast style u get from other legendary Trivandrum places like GP Hotel or Good morning hotel. Topped off with a bit more coconut oil and tingly masalas, pair it with their crispy and soft parottas or go for a combo with their meals. I can guarantee, u will be grinning from ear to ear.

Parking is bit complex as theres only road side parking is available.Overall its a small hotel where you can go for a quick bite in pocket friendly manner.

Unhygeinic!Porotta they served shamelessly was coin sized and days old!!In the evenings, the restaurant is full of mosquitoes and insects!The porotta was just disgusting! Totally disappointed !!

Regular food. But good quality and tasty. The chutney given with dosa is a specialty. Evening snacks like sukhiyan is really good. Every food item prepared is finished before they close. So no left overs for next day. You can trust the food and eat it. Has been in existence for more than 50 years now.

The atmosphere of the hotel is typical old styled particularly in that area..with a radio playing all time..its good. The food is great as well. We get all good non vegetarian items too.

I was there for a quick bite. A small restaurant by the side of a busy road. Parking is by the side of road and at a premium. Dont expect snazzy interiors and waiters in uniform. Tea and bites were tasty.

Very old hotelIn that area this is good one for both veg and nonveg.Coconut Chutney is the special here and beef is also good.Need improvement in cleaning of plates glass.They providing medium hot for drinking, but you dont like the smell.My suggestion: Better you buy a packed drinking water.

Good restaurant, reasonable rate.3 big dosa, chtney and sambar just 27 rs.its available during breakfast and dinner.Their chutney is something special..Poori - masala combo, Appam - egg/ kadala curry, idli etc are other brekfast items.For lunch, usual meal with a fish fry is good.. no other lunch items are not up to the mark.Our state food, porotta and beef available everytime, and its really yummy..I dont prefer chicken items from here..The major thing is i nver had a stomech upset after having food from here which cannot be promised in any other restaurants in trivandrum..

I just went to have tea and elayappam there so I cant speak much for their food. But, what I ate was simply wonderful.Come here for the food, cause thats all this place can hope to give. Its not a large place, but it can manage a decent amount of people.I imagine coming here for rush hours would be terrible cause of the seating and the possible lack of a parking space.

Ambalapatt restaurant is a good hotel. Food and all are very good. Not much hygienic. It is always crowded. Spicy vegetarian and non vegetarian foods are available at low cost. Lunch is very cheap. There is also a separate family section available. People also come their just for Tea. An average hotel in Pattom

Particularly known for its Meals, its Tiffin items (their semi dry Chutney is the highlight - spicy but yummy). Fish fry is another highlight. Light on your pocket as well.
