Never believe them . They just loot your money. Really unprofessional way of handling the situation. After fugus cleaning, lens elements not fixed properly. With in few days fungus start forming again inside the lens.Trivandrum people can directly send your lens to canon via BABAS.

I contacted one of the executive there via phone.. even speaking to him gave me the damn confidence to go to purchase a camera from the concern. I have to travel from kanyakumari to kottyam for the camera .. by speaking to a person we get the confidence level to approach or not am sure I will get the product which I want from there.Soon I will visit camera scan ..

The shop works in a professional way. They call you after an initial examination to inform the expected work and the expected cost for that. in my experience they completed the work in mentioned time and informed. The office is available from morning to evening except on Sundays so it is convenient to give and collect back your items. The work quality was ok(though the receptionist tried to convince me how worst the camera was and how hard they tried to bring it to current position )

If you really care for your camera and money....avoid this place by all means.I have given my camera for cleaning and this charged around 1700 and waited for around 2 weeks and got a call from them saying its ready. By the time when I was there to collect they said its not cleaned a will take some time. And asked me to wait for another 5 minutes and suddenly they came back with the camera claiming that everything is ready. I opened it and on checking the mirror, it looks the same as when I delivered it. Same old dusted mirror. No work done. And the bill-1700I suggest them to find some other methods to loot people.So if you really love your camera and you need some professional service find someone else. Definitely not this camerascan.

Hello All,I had vey bad experience with camera scan Trivandrum. I have given my sigma wide angle lens for cleaning on Oct 30 2020. Intially the said it would take 2 weeks for fixing it now its been nearly two months they havent get it ready. Every Monday I go to the shop then they would tell its on the way from Kottayam. Finally today I fed up and asked them to give it back. The fun part is they havent even started working on the product. The charge high for the worst service that they providing.

M/s Camera Scan is the authorised service dealer for Canon cameras. However, they do very qualified service for all brands of cameras, lenses, tripods and other accessories. Today, they cleaned the fungus spread in the display screen of my Sony digital camera. I had been to their Trivandrum and Kollam branches. But I advise to take only a two Wheeler to their Kollam branch as there is acute shortage of parking space thereat.

Display issue was there for camera.. After servicing bord was not working. I dont know what they did. Also very poor communication. Time laging also

I read in a review here that you should take your camera to this shop only if you cant break it on your own with a hammer. i only wish i heeded to that advice. instead i went there for cleaning my camera sensor that had a tiny oil stain and some dust. after reaching there the guy at the reception made me wait about 15 mins before the so called authorised technician ( THERE ARE NO AUTHORISED TECHNICIANS FOR CANON OR FUJIFILM ANYWHERE ELSE OTHER THAN KOCHI IN KERALA) and he gave me a long speech about the complexity of cleaning and told me to leave the camera and come back after two days. and told me even then he is not sure if it will work anymore. the technician thinks he invented the camera. i went home almost in tears. i managed to call up the delhi office of fujifilm and they directed me to a gentleman by the name of ameer, who is the head technician in kochi and he explained that there is absolutely no problem and modern sensors can handle much more and that service should barely take 30 mins. oil stain is a joke. i called the shop up and blasted them on the phone. thirty minutes later i got it back fully cleaned and with a tiny visible sensor scratch. luckily it hasnt damaged it and it works fine. dont even remotely think of going here. youre better off breaking it on your own.

These guys have been here for a while. The technicians are well versed with new and old generation cameras. I always take my lenses and old film cameras to them. Recently I Managed to repair a canon 5D classic from here which canon authorized service centre refused stating unavailability of spares.

Expensive - They will charge you high. Lens cleaning will cost you 950 INR.If you go for lens cleaning, they say there is auto focus problem and charge you.If you go for lens error, they will charge you additional for lens cleaning.You will end up paying nearly 2000 INR.When I went there for lens cleaning. They wanted to check my camera as well. They took my camera in and came back in 5 mins with no issues. Came back home and found black dots in view finder which was not there before.I don’t recommend for anyone as they lack professionalism/ethics. Beg you all not to go there for service and spend your hard earned money.

I ve given my Tamaron 300mm lence for cleaning and its AF is not working and pictures are out of focus now. I ask them to rectify and the simply denied it.The guy there is an arrogent fellow and talking rudely.Please dont give any of your gadjets here. They will spoil it.

The best camera repair shop in trivandrum. The main plus point of this shop is very talented and skilled technicians, even the receptionist is a very knowledgeable person. Hats of guys keep it up.

Ive been there more than seven times . Service charge are too high compared with any other service centre in Thiruvananthapuram. No matter what the complaint is , if you bring a DSLR for service the minimum service charge will be 2000 or above. The on /Off button of my canon 7d was not working they charged 4500 for that .

They provide good service... My nikon D3300 had fungus inside the lens and they have cleaned it properly and charged only Rs. 200.

This place is not a canon/nikon authorised service centre. But these guys are experts in what they do. The person at the reception desk was very courteous and patient to listen to our complaints. He was also very well aware and informed of the technicalities of cameras and lenses. Overall it was a great experience to deal with them.

Most lens will be carried there for repair.Thus delay of two or three days will happen.Daily a staff travels from here to kottayam head office to carry the lenses and cameras tp be repaired. He brings back the repaired ones which was done last days.Average cleaning charges for lens is ₹450/-

Never ever go there for lens cleaning. The cleaning price is too high and the fungus wont be cleaned properly. They will give some lame excuses if we question them.

I had a very bad experience with them, i given my tamron 200 lens to fungal removal, first of all they charged RS 2200/- for cleaning which is huge for cleaning a lens also the lens lost its focus i am not getting proper focus after the service, i have given it at trivandrum location, not sure what will do with this lens now.
