The sacrament, which came to Tirumala to kill the sage Tadasi, was paralyzed by the divine nature of the sage. Arulmigu Manikandiswarar Temple, Thirumalpur-631 053. Thirumarperu, Vellore District.Head Special: The source here is a lingam made of sand on the banks of Virudhaseera river by Goddess Parvati. On top of the lingam to prevent it from dissolving, a vase (shield made of copper) is anointed. Thirumal Kaikuppi worships Lord Shiva near the Moolasthan with the name Senthamaraikkannaperumal. Adhikara Nandi is standing near the Moolavar.General Information: The temple is located on an area of about 1.20 acres with round walls and an east facing Rajagopuram with two prakaras. Chakra Theertham in front of the temple. The Swami Sanctuary faces east and the Amman Sanctuary faces south. In the inner sanctum there are shrines of Ganesha, Chidambaraswarar, Somaskandar, Subramanian, Chandikeswarar, Natarajar, Kajalakshmi etc.PRAYER: Due to the talamatha who received the wheel of worship of Perumal, the worshipers here will have no fear of the enemy. The hope is that the lawsuit can be won.Nerthikadan: They anoint Lord Shiva and worship him in new clothes.Pride of place: The Soliswarar, erected in memory of Paranthaka Chola, blesses towards the west. With eight arms, Durga looks elegant. Although it is a Shiva temple, Karudasevai is held during the Brahmorsava period as it is the place where Perumal was blessed. Vallabhbhai Ganesha with ten hands is also auspicious.Head History: Thirumal Tudhisi threw his wheel on Sage for King Kuban. But, it has blunted the silk tip in the sage’s divine body. Thirumal was worried. He consulted with the gods on what to do and learned that Shiva had the Sudarsana Chakra which he had created to destroy Chalandarasura. Ithalam immediately came and worshiped this lingam with a thousand lotus flowers every day. One day Lord Shiva hid one of the thousand flowers for puja to test his devotion to Tirumala. When Thirumal was performing the puja the flower fell one by one, and he plucked out his eye and dedicated it to Lord Thiruvati. Delighted at this puja, Lord Shiva said, I take your eye and worship you for the lotus flower, so I give you an eye like a lotus. Thus you will be called Padumashan and this place will also be called Thirumarperu. And he said to Tirumala, I will give salvation to those who worship me by the thousand names you worship. Those who are unable to say that, will bless me if they worship me by the names of Deendachchivandar, Sadarupar, Manikandar, Dayanidhiyar, Pavalamalayar, Vattanthavirthar and Sakisanar. He also blessed those who stayed in the temple for a moment and said that if they worshiped here, they would get the benefit of worshiping the lingams in all the temples. History has it that Lord Shiva enjoyed and bestowed the boon asked by Thirumal.
