The Adventure zone has lot of activities for the adults - like rope walk, River crossing, Rock climbing, mountain biking and likes. Since we had a mix of all ages, we preferred to slip this and move on to Childrens park. This is a small park for kids to play and one can spend around 20 minutes here. Most of them are located within a km from the dam entrance. Adventure zone is 500m before the dam itself and rest of them 500m after the dam on the road to Kollam.

Amazing place to spend a holiday. A different experience especially for couples and family. Some rides are friendly for women but some are a bit difficult, I think thats what make them adventurous. I wish that they add more safe guards soon, preferably few female staffs whom women visitors feel more comfortable with. One major demerit is there were no toilets especially for women inside the zone (but theres one only in exit)

A passably amusing escapade in Thenmala. The walk down the rugged stone path leads to the adventure zone. There you would find the board walk, rope cross, rope tunnel, boating, flying fox, river cross, water walk in the inflated ball, vertical net climb, cycling, shooting and Kids’ Park.The area is extremely low on maintenance. I saw a kid fall of the bicycle because its tire came off. The inflated ball was actually deflated. The vertical net climb was dismantled. The kids’ park was totally out-of-use due to zero repairs. The rest of the adventure activities just exist there without upkeep, ready to collapse at any moment. There are just two persons to guide you through the sports.You would get three rounds of firing in the shooting area. The flying fox is a 30 second quick descent from an elevated point. The board walk wires are barely held strongly. The boating is within a pond just the size of a badminton court. The place is a mere half-day adventure visit. Not more than that. Few people and school kids come as groups to the place. The place has survived so far because there is no other such adventure park in Kerala itself. So it attracts a minimal crowd.

A fun place for kids and adults alike. All the activities are of basic level. And staff are also helpful.Includes activities like commando nets, boating, flying fox etc.There is trampoline also, but that has outlived its life. The climbing wall and mountain climbing options are also not available.

Its a beautiful place. It has the elevated walkway (not for people with a fear of heights) and quite some adventure activities. However the highlight was the fishes. They come so close. Eat from your hands. Take a hand full of boiled rice with you.

10+ Activities. Good for young and kids. Difficult to do for very old peoples. Cost ₹260 for a full package per head. Those who take this package have no any restrictions. But the time limit is 2 hour for everyone. There have different types of activities like zip line, biking, peddle boating,.. etc. Some of them are not exciting and some of them are not working, it shows the lack of maintenance from the managing department. Allover it was a good experience.

Its worth for 2 hrs small adventures with family or friends. As Thenmala is not a big tourist spot, these type of activities, conducted by eco tourism, are the main attractions.

The adventure zone is situated about two kilometres from the Thenmala junction. The adventure zone zone features an elevated walkway, rock climb, river crossing, mountain biking, swings and rope ladders.The walkway takes you to the top of the trees.It is built with wooden planks supported on pillars and it is fitted with railings.  Rock climbing needs equipments. These can be rented for a fee from the park office.They will sent trained guides to help you climb and give you instructions.

One can have much fun here.One can gain perfect adventure experience here.

A good place for kids and adult alike. The activities here are of basic difficulties, I reccommend just visiting and checking the place out before paying the amount of the full package because the people at the Eco Tourisim will insist you to take the full package. For a person who is a beginner and placing their first step in to world of adventures and exploration, you wont be dissapointes. But a person who has been on adventures and hiking sort of, well its up to you.

Stands as a classic example to the typical government managed venture. Most of the attractions are not working. Staff is of chaltha hai attitude. Dont really care this place is supposed to attract visitors. The guard at the entrance was very rude. They charged full 210₹ even though half of the stuff were not working. We were not told about this when we took the ticket.

I got a nice experience here commando rope climbing, air rifle shooting, and more.

Must place to visit in thenmala.U have to book Ur appointment well in advance through their website.Dont think that u can buy ticket once u reach there. Hardly u get tickets.Tickets are limitedSchool n college students fill the limited tickets early.We spent around an hour . U really have some adventurous things to do if u are doing these things for first time~Zipline, rock climbing, walk on the rope etc.I have added the skywalk entrance pic.its really interesting.enjoy!

With proper maintenance they can make it better. for the kids this one is ok.

Great option for spending time with family. One good thing is entry is restricted with max number for each 2 hours batch. So you can enjoy the place without having hurry in the crowd

The place is amazing and its one of the best in Kerala. But there are certain things that should need immediate action!1. Sheer negligence for safety. (the adventure activities must be done only with safety gears and here no one provides you with the same.)2. Lockers for personal belongings. ( trust me, crossing the lake with your phone does not give you any confidence)3. Maintenance (the park has fallen apart in certain areas, the rock climbing doesnt look safe at first sight. The nails have fallen apart. The cycles kept for riding was in very pathetic condition. No brakes at all, the seat of cycle was wobbly)The staff were very friendly and supportive.

A very nice place to spend one day with your friends or family. We visited Adventure Zone, Leisure Zone, Thenmala Dam, all in one day... If planned properly, you can visit even more. Apt trekking place for beginners. Visit their website for different plans & packages.

Good environment and cant be called so adventures as this place is more appealing to kids than adults. They have many segments to enjoy, including rope walking, pedal boats, commando nets, trampoline, mountain bike to name a few. They will charge rs 270 per head for 1 hour. Tickets can be purchased online or at center near the thenmala dam.

Yeah its quite adventurous.. But I think its not meant for adults.Its a good place to bring your kids and watch them play.

One of the must visit tourist spots in Thenmala - The Adventure Zone. The activities in this zone favors adventure tourism. The attractions in this area are the Elevated Walkway, The Mountain Biking, Rock Climbing, River Crossing, Nature Trails, Resting Spots, Lotus Pond, etc. The nature trail winding through various areas of the zone attracts a large number of nature tourists. The elevated walkway and river crossing will be an experience.

Superb experience!keep one stick in your hand in the time of walking thru this bridge.Bcos if you have some food items,the monkeys will catch you.there is lot of monkeys .Inside this zone lot of adventure activities waiting for you.All are very interesting.

Adventure zone is one of part of eco tourism where we could find the youngsters with their active participation in the events like rope climbing, commando climbing, flying on the rope, climbing on the net, jumbing, boat riding etc. Though the entry fee is high it is worth enough to note the happiness in the participants. Adventure zone is definitely not for aged peoples because they dont have nothing to do on that premises. Its a waste of money for aged ones (per person ticket rate is Rs.210 for Indians). Others can do act like rock climbing, pedal boating, river crossing, flying across the river, shooting, rope walking etc. You must remember to carry enough waterbottles. Security precautions is not so much, but you will get proper instructions from guides.At starting point, an canopy walkway flies over rocky areas though the canopy of large trees providing an aerial view of beautiful nature. Truly its a wondelful view for an nature lovers eye.

Thenmala is the first ecotourism tourist place in India. The place is near to Tamil Nadu border. Shenduruney wild life sanctuary boating is very interesring and adventerous. You can spend a whole day here enjoying the beauty of nature. Thenmala dam is also close to here.
