Pratap bhawan is for masters students only.It is the first hostel of kuk so the condition of some rooms is not that good.But rooms are bigger in size and some rooms has attach bathroom and toilet

This place is a boys hostel and situated in the kurukshetra university kurukshetra .This is near to the university market or the University branch State bank. This is known as Pratap Bhawan. Its almost good in facilities but rooms are narrow as old style coz the whole building is very old otherwise its good and one more thing. ..rooms are available for the B.Sc and some other courses students I guess.

Although the hostel building is near about 50 years old but the hostel environment is very good, there are 5 blocks and each block is having 3 floors.Students are from different disciplines of Master of science course.Common room facility with television, badminton court, volleyball court and park are there.

Just loved my hostel life while in Partap bhawan with MARRK group. Unniversity days were fabulous with the friends, specially first 2 years of 3 year M.Tech. course(2010-2013).Partap bhawan and Narhari bhawan were among the first hostels( around 1963) after the establishment of Kurukshetra University in 1956. There are around 10 boys hostels named Partap bhawan, Narhari bhawan, Arjun bhawan, Vivekanand bhawan, Harsh bhawan, Bheem bhawan, Ch Devilal bhawan etc. Partap bhawan has five blocks(A to E) and each block has 54 rooms(single and doormetry). It also has a common mess and a common room and a table tennis room.University has its own geographical importance having many of historic and mythological places like Thanesar, Bhrahm Sarowar, Jyotisar, Bhadrkali temple, Seikh chilli tomb, Karan ka teela, Kalpana Chawla planaterium, Shri Krishn Sangrahalaya, Panorama etc. University is attached to NIT Kurukshetra, a national institute.Thanesar was the capital of King Harshvardhana during 600 AD in Gupt Kaal. Jyotisar has its mythological importance where Lord Krishna taught Geeta Updesh to Arjun during Mahabharata battle.Bhrahm sarowar was assumed to be made by Lord Bhrahma. This is a vast rectangular water body( length is more than 1Km and breadhth around 800 m). This place has its importance during Mahabharata time as well. Dropadi( Pandavas wife) koop is said to be of Mahabharata time. There is big Chariot with 4 horses in the middle on which Lord Krishna and Arjunas sculptures are made. One temple is also in the middle.Geeta Jayanti festival at Bhrahma Sarowar during December every year, is one of the main attraction here. Its a 15 days long festival in which there are many cultural events take place. Different shops around Bhrahm sarowar are organized from different states.Bhadrkali temple has its mythological importance. The story began at Kankhal ,Haridwar. When Lord Shiva was wandering with his first wife Satis dead body, lord Vishnu cutted it into 51 parts and the knee fell here in Bhadrakali temple.Seikh chilli tomb has its historical importance.Shri Krishna Sangrahalaya is a kind of museum to show case The epic- Mahabharatas events.Panorama shows many science experiments and Kalpana Chawla Planaterium is in the memory of Indian Astronaut Kalpana Chawla showing 3 D movie too and tells about the space.
