Good place you can take train from here towards Pune and Panvel goa madgaon. Station surrounded are not clean. Same like station surrounded area was too much crowded in normal day in mid night not much more crowded. Also your available food at station but its Higenic. Best option for food you can out of station. . Wadapav is special and so much popular dish out of thane station also one more momos shops also available our of 1 gate platform which superb and amazing. Experience was good 🙂🙂 aalos like one thing which slider and wheels chair accessible so many entrance available to move one platform to another platform.

Ordinary Indian railway station.It is junction from here local for Panvel, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus departs. Also maximum Express trains halts here.

Well maintained plateform, better and hygienic conditions of canteen, regular cleaning of garbage spreaded due to outstation locals makes the job of sweepers tedious.

Extremely useful structure built by TMC, as I remember 15 yrs back, outside Thane station was like a battle ground between bus & rickshaw stand together. It was a complete chaos for pedestrians. With this bridge the buses go from the bridge and autorickshaw stand is under the bridge.

As we know Thane is the busiest station on Central railway line and just outside the Thane station in wear side there are markets and bus depot. Its too crowded and noisy outside the Thane West. But its good that you can get bus from just out side the station for Mumbai, Navi Mumbai as well out side of Mumbai

Thane has 10 platforms and its not easy to maintain but slowly its doing progress still alot of makeover is required for this station for sure.

Good Infrastructure..!! Only the worst part of thane is Rickshaw walas they create super mess in the morning.. Also they dont follow Traffic rules at all.. unnecessarily they cross speed limits drives in wrong lane.. One Should take care while crossing road while walking on street

I had to board a train from Thane to Thivim. The station was way too crowded with no proper signage and a mediocre announcement system. There was no way to determine which platform number you had to go through except by listening to a very bad announcement amidst all the surrounding noise. Thankfully the porters knew their stuff so asking them I was able to find out where I had to go.

Thane railway station has been undergoing a lot of changes in the last decade. It is 1 of the busiest station on the central lines and hence the station area is very busy most of the times. The rickshaw stand and bus stand on Thane West side are well established and you will find people queuing up for the same also please be careful of rickshaw guys who are not in the queue they try their best to rip off people who are new to the city. If these rickshaw guys and the hawkers problem is resolved the station will be a much more better place. East side has bus stands but I have never seen a dedicated rickshaw line/stand there.

Always crowded and one of the Fast train hault and express halt of central line as well as harbour line ( Vashi & Panvel), simply divided like platform 1 to 4 for slow trains, 5 & 6 for Fast Trains, 5 to 8 for express, 9 and 10 for harbour local, Ticket counter near platform 1 and 10-A. Platform 1 is connected to end of platform no.2, Platform 2 to 10-A are in one line. The central Bridge (one with escalator) and another on CST end connects east to west side and linked to each other by West Bus Stop. The one after escalator must not use. Next at Kalyan End( with elevator) ends on platform no 2.On west side Food chain shops are amazing, like Jumbo king, Misal, Tip-Top, McD, etc.Also the RTO thane, Municipality office, Police ground on west side.

Biggest and busiest railway station of mumbai. it is always crowded as many outstation and local train pass through this station. there are 10 platforms and there is elevated bus depot on the west side that ease the traffic. there are many famous restaurants and food stall on both side of the station. all the facilities on this station are good and toilet is also clean.

There is a over head platform for TMT buses at the west entrance. The frequency of buses to different locations within and near Thane is good. Its very neat and clean and orderly.

Very much crowded place but no options to skip as this is a transit station.Much more infrastructure needs to be improved. People are used to the crowd but at some point, higher authorities needs to plan some alternative. East - west connectivity along Ghodbandhar road will be a great option. This metro or local track will reduce extra burden on Thane, Kurla and Dadar station.Central wide bridge at Thane station is a good relief to the old congested bridges. Such initiatives will provide some temporary relief on growing crowd.

A super busy, super crowded railway station on Central Line. This is the station where first train started between Mumbai and Thane. As usual railway authorities are always behind the curve and do development work only when forced to do. TMC has done lot of good work outside station be it SATIS or sky walks etc. The biggest problem is share autos outside western side, they are unruly and traffic police is not able to control them.
