Good place for cricket.Not good for Running or jogging if youre not comfortable to walk in between cricket pitches or you can jogg on sidewalk. Its better at morning till 10 am and after 6pm as there is less crowd.Winter and summer there is more crowd and in monsoon grass grows everywhere.

Best place to playing cricket leader or tennis best ground to child practice

Nice big ground flooded with peoople playing all over the place. You will see cruet liver crazily playing in the ground without worrying that a ball can hit them accidentally. You will see all age group playing in this grouubd right from 4 years to 4o years. Its good that facilitates are good here . My only worry that do t hurt yourself . Be carefull. Lots of coaching available here. So enjoy your game. Just hope some good cricketer comes out of here.

Near to road..easy to spot..there are lots of trees side of the ground which is very helpful for spectator, usually they have matches on Saturday Sunday so good place to hangout as well as you can see some good matches in free of cost..its a multipurpose ground can use for jogging as well as other sports activity..mostly people come in evening for walking during sunset

I went at Central Maidan to watch some cricket. It is a big ground to play. Theres a lot of little player were playing. Maybe they were from coaching academy, afterall felling great to visit.

Ground is very nice.Located exactly opposite central jail, thane.Had a match last Sunday there.Due to heavy rains last week outfield was bit wet but pitch was nice.Dressing rooms were also very spacious.Washrooms neat n clean.Its open for public on Sundays so it was bit confusing to play a match.Thats the only negative thing I can remember.

Located at the heart of Thane near Court naka, I started playing cricket here when I was around 16 years old and still playing here when I am 29 . We wait for every Sunday to play here . It has been my favourite place to play cricket .

Its a good place for morning and evening walking and for relaxation. You can take your kids also for playing cricket etc.there is plenty of activity in the morning as so many young kids practicing with coaches in the nets. Cricket is the centre of attraction here.

Good place for cricket but the ground is uneven and pitch is slow

One will find this playground always filled with busy playing kids always. The only bigger ground to play in and around central Thane, as far as I know.Even in rainy season.. I find this football being played frequently though. This Maidan has produced many great Cricket players ! Probably for other catered sports too! Many fine cricket coach had helped the seekers make their career and marked their signatures on scoreboards!! We too used to play cricket in college duration.

There are very few open places in metropolitan cities like Mumbai and Thane and this is one of them. Being closer to police quarters and police ground it is free of encroachments. Always full of kids or youngsters playing cricket or football. Also a place to hold political rallies during election time. A nice place to take an idle walk around watching a local cricket game.

One of the oldest grounds in Thane. Had really improved in terms of infra, but the quality of pitches is still pathetic. And the fact that tennis-ball cricket players crowd the grounds, means the regular cricket players have to really hold themselves back from practise.

The maidan has been a part of thanekars for a very long time atleast for over 30years. I have myself played a lot of football there our college used to have the football practice on this ground. So yes it is a lovely ground to play on. However during the summers there are many cricket pitches that are prepared and is filled with local and professional cricket players. So if ur around Thane and want to watch Thane play this is a place to be especially during school vacations. Be watchfully as a ball might come from anywhere and hit you if ur around the ground😂✌️

Heart of thane

Its one of the sports grounds of Thane. It has some cricket coaching facilities and the ground staff maintains the ground by a water sprinkler and some cutting during summers but during rains, the grounds overflowing with grass and weeds. The thing I like about this place is a tiny gym free for all located to the east.
