This restaurant serves specially Maharastrian Cuisine. You will find lots of variety of food. I had ordered veg thali, which was quite good, although quality was good but you get little less quantity as per the price considered. Rest ambience and hygiene is good.

Average looking place with average taste, tried poha, sabudana khichdi, thalipeeth and misal pav for breakfast. Loved khichdi, rest everything was just average.

The food quality is nice and different variations of Maharashtrian vegetarian food are available here. It would be really nice if they improve the hygiene level in the restaurant and also work on improving taste and cooking quality of some food dishes which I feel is getting ignored somewhere in rush of serving multiple orders.

We ordered this Potbhar Thali which was super delicious. Every item served tasted really good. I relished eating each and every bite of the food as everything was freshly prepared and served. Absolutely in love with the Maharashtrian food. We ordered 1. Thali 2. Kurma bhaji 3. Vangyacha bharit 4. Tandla chi bhakri 5. Chapati 6. Tender coconut ice cream 7. Jackfruit ice cream 8. Thandai ice cream. Everything we ordered was good. But the kotimbir vadi in the thali and the green chutney with it was the best.The staff was friendly and kind. But they take a little time to serve the food. We had to wait a lot for food.Also, this place is famous for ukadiche modak with ice cream. But apparently, when we visited they had none left. Better luck next time.

This restaurant is specialised only in Maharashtrian food..Must try is pithla bhakari,Thalipit, Kolhapuri misal.Ambiance is quite perfect as to match the theme of the food.Service is not upto the mark..they forget some dish to serve what a customer had ordered. We need to remind the captian again and again so to serve the dish which they forgotten.So giving 4 rating. Rest all is perfect.

Recommended For Maharashtrian Cousine.We have tried many things that restuarant offer like Khanda Bhaji, Misal, Sabudana che vade, Mix bhaji platter, Thali etc... Every thing were Authentic towards Maharashtrian Style above all economical and pocket friendly.

Today at 12:40 we reached at restaurant and we order Veg thali of Rs 425/- and Sabudana vada. First they took 20 min to serve veg thali with 2 bhaji (Moong and Kehti) taste was pathetic and Sabudana vada served with coconut chutney l. I requested staff that I have fast so pls serve me sweet curd, but he serve normal curd without sugar. While having food our bike was parked outside of hotel, but traffic police to pickup our bike, we left the food and manage that situation. Service was not good and even food review given first.

Khavayye is quite old restaurant in thane. Amazing maharashtrian delicacies available here. I had kharvas and it was very tasty. Service needs to be more prompt. Ambience is good.

Kind of authentic Maharashtrian food joint.. they are trying to invent new dishes by giving twist to conventional recipe like Shahalyachi bhaji, Gulabjab in malvani curry style, but Gulabjams taste was inconspicuous.. yet the marination n curry taste was awesome..The welcome drink - Piyush - was tasty as well as.. a really nice surprise..Quantity or portion is relatively small but enough for two..Use of metal glass for drinking water is also notably nice move..But the waiters are non Maharashtrian and so sometimes asking them about dish can backfire at you..Overall should try atleast once...

In ice creams they have unique flavours incorporating sweets from the state.A welcome drink like a shot is served and is made of Piyush or sweet lassi. We ordered a Val Khichadi which is similar to Masala Bath but with Val beans. It is served with raita and papads. This was a light meal and not too spicy. We also ordered a thali for take away and it was packed nicely without use if plastic. Buttermilk ordered was served in a bottle with a straw.They have Marathi songs playing and walls have paintings of scenes of daily life in rural Maharashtra. Waiters are polite and helpful. Prices are high but can be accepted as they have good ambience and tasty food. Around this area this one is a rare vegetarian Maharastrian restaurant.

Be little early to get the seat as space is limited inside + outdoor.I had a Limited Thali, that you can share with friends and family. Staff is friendly, welcomed us with tiny glass of Piyush.

They offer good catering services also. Staff is polite and very helpful. Recently we placed a catering order with them for around 75 people for Pooja at home. It was very well managed by Mr. Salvi. Everyone liked the taste of the food and got good feedback. If you want Maharashtrian food you can always visit them.

In Marathi, Khavayye means someone who relishes the food he eats.Khavayye is a new restaurant which serves vegetarian Maharashtrian cuisine; snacking items as well as the main course. It is a spacious place which has a decent seating capacity, is quite ambient & light Marathi music plays in the background.Before placing the orders, the server brought a welcome drink of sorts; a miniature glass of Piyush, a very popular & thick Maharashtrian beverage.I ordered a BATATA WADA & instead of the regulation 2 pieces per plate, here they serve 5 pieces to a plate. It was served with green chutney & dry garlic chutney. The Wadas were crisp & the stuffing was nicely flavored and most importantly low of garlic content.Then came ALU WADI, which are fritters made from colocasia leaves. It was served with spicy green chutney & a sweet chutney made from raw peanuts & dry coconuts pieces. The Alu Wadi was crisp & nicely flavored, and the combination of sweet & spicy chutney added a zing to it.Next dish I ordered for KOLHAPURI MISAL. It was served in a bowl placed over a miniature iron stove which had a camphor fire to keep it warm. The Misal was made from poha, moth beans, a mildly spicy gravy & mixed chivda. The spiciness was of a mild level instead of being spicy as is expected of a Kolhapuri Misal.MATTAR PATTICE was the last dish ordered. A mixture of french beans, carrots, green peas were stuffed in boiled potato mash & deep fried. The stuffing was tossed in some dry spices & tasted nice. It was served with green chutney & sweet chutney.The food served at this restaurant was quite decent but its priced a bit steeper than most restaurants. Though the experience was nice, the prices prohibit a regular visit.

So it was not perfect.Ukadiche Modak - Superb and Loved it.Taak- Not worth of 60 Rs. at all.Solkadhi - Nice as per price.Mix bhaji - Okay but need improvement.Kaju Masala - really bad and not at all recommended.

I was refered by a newspaper article... Amazing place no doubt... They also give complementary aam panna shots incase the missal is too much too handle for you!✌️

A rare Maharashtrian food joint. I tried only few dishes but from that i can definitely tell that the food is tasty. The price is high but why should good maharashtrian food be cheap. We maharashtrians should appreciate our food just like south indians n punjabis do. A must visit, i will definitely go again when i am in Thane.

Its a new hotel thats very clean with a professionally dressed and behaving staff that serves purely Marathi fare. We tasted piyush, farali wada, sabudaba wada, dahi misal, mixed bhaji and batata bhaji shrikhand Puri. The taste of every item lingered as did its memory.They serve breakfast buffet on Sat Sun till noon, but we missed it. Its a delightful family style veg place for a weekend brunch with Mitra and mandali alike... it definitely deserves a repeat visit.

Worst.... Food quality very bad. They dont know how to cook food. plates are very dirty. and very costly We ordered wadamisal and upama. I did not able to eat wada and usal also very very bad test. Cost is like 5 star hotel. Dont go for eating food.

One of the best rice bhakari in Thane.... So soft, perfectly sized and yummy bhakaris they serve... Even if you take away for dining at home, the bhakari remains soft and tasty for a good few hours.

Hopeless and unprofessional service. Booked a table with my name the previous evening. Still got delayed entry by almost 45 mins. However, walk- in customers were being seated. When enquired, the uniformed manager says I did not take the booking so I dont know. Food arrived on table at 2: 25 pm for a table booked for 1 pm. Moreover, the food menu ordered was altered at their convenience, without informing us till questioned about it. Never seen such irresponsible and unprofessional service and staff in any restaurant so far. Shame.
