Both these are Malvani style.They served a huge SURMAI fillet that is marinated with turmeric, ginger-garlic paste and Malvani masalas and shallow fried. The Fish was fresh and the flavors were amazing. Do try if you love traditional fish fry. Dont go for Deep fried fish i.e. Rawa Fry as it can take out the moisture and softness of the fish.The TANDOORI POMFRET is again marinated with their special masala and set in Tandoor for 12-15 mins till it gets nicely charred from the edges and soft in the center. The fish is super fresh as they get their Seafood on a daily basis from Mumbai docks.CHICKEN MALVANI MASALA - BHAJNICHE VADE & RICE BHAKRILike always I love to try Malwani Vade from various restaurants whenever I visit. Yesterday Visited this place for Dinner, after long time had dinner at restaurant and it was worth the wait. Konkani haus was amazing, the ambience is very good, can visit with family and friends. Ambience is very nice has nice decor, seating arrangement is proper and comfortable, also has bar section were you can have cocktail, mocktails and many more drinks. We had some of the following dishes which was very tasty and delicious,1. Peru Pudina Fizz: it was Peru and Pudina flavor mocktail it was very refreshing and good in taste.2. Lolipop Lapeta and Murgh Malvani Tikka: In starters it was best we could have ordered, it has nice smoky flavors and has nice spices which gave the starters amazing taste.3. Kombdi Fry Masala: in main course we had this with tandul bhakri(rice bhakri) and chapati, it was very good in taste and has amazing flavors and spices.4. Ukdiche Modak and Gulab Jamun: I had best modak ever, it was truly heaven. It was stuffed with yummy coconut filling and they used Jaggery instead of sugar, served with Ghee which gave it more flavors.Overall we had great experience here, manager was very humble, staff is very good and helpful. Konkani Haus is an absolute pleasure to visit for all the people who love eating non-veg food. They serve amazing konkani food, keeping the authentic taste with modern flavors and variations in them. The variety of food and drinks they serve is really explicit. There are no room for complaints at all....Ordered two mocktails, 1. Peru Pudina Fizz & 2. Til Kokum Masala Fizz and both were outstanding. While ordering Til Kokum Masala Fizz felt like ordering kokum sharbat with twist but it was way different than kokum sharbat. The taste and feel of til was well paired with kokum’s tangyness and masala used brought up the flavor very well. Peru Pudina Fizz was really one of a kind, never had a drink like this before. Guava’s taste was overwhelming and was well complimented by the mint’s freshness. Both the drinks were purely refreshing. Peru Pudina Fizz is a must try when visiting Konkani Haus....For the starter we ordered 1. Bharlela Pomfret 2. Murgh Malvani Tikka. Murgh Malvani Tikka was very different than other Chicken tikka had before and till date. The chicken was juicy and tender. The marination had a very implicit taste to be honest, it was tangy, smoky and spicy. Even the salad they served with the tikka was the perfect, best salad had till date. Bharlela Pomfret was a much different experience. The pomfret fish i.e. ‘PAPLET’ was stuffed with prawns and fried crisp. The meat was very fleshy and succulent, well cooked. Most of all it was divine to eat for all seafood lovers and would really recommend to eat Bharlela Pomfret specially at the Konkani Haus....Main course was served as 1. Surman Ghassi 2. Kombdi Malvani Handi 3. Bhajani Che Vade. Every main course had a very konkani authenticity to it. There was a definite use of coconut in the Surmai Ghassi gravy, the surmai was well cooked in the gravy. The gravy was thick, flavorful and well spiced. The spice level was moderate. Kombdi Malvani Handi was a thick tomato onion gravy with chicken tikka pieces. The gravy was spicy and smoky. Chicken pieces were soft and succulent and soaked all the flavors of the gravy very well. The charred bits on the chicken pieces were lovely. For a konkani meal there has to be Bhajani Che Vade. The vades Konkani Haus serves are real brought to konkan feeling. Perfect crisp on outside with soft taste of multigrains inside. Bhajani Che Vade really completes the kankani meal at its best....The service is perfect, ambiance is shared with a rustic feel. Lights were bright, seats are comfortable. Different family tables are setted in another room, even a large private room is seen. We even saw the kitchen, it was very clean, everything was very organised, everyone was seen wearing masks in the pandemic situation. Worst experience!!my friend recommended me the hotel, on arrival we ordered for bombil fry & stuffed pomfret, while eating we found a stone inside the stuffing to which we complained to the server, he just took the stone & went inside the kitchen area, there was no apology from their endwhen we received the check, they had charged the full amount for pomfret & upon asking they just gave me 10% discount on the total bill, we insisted the server to charge us the full amount as giving 10% discount will not make any changes to meServer didnt had any courtesy for apology nor service recoveryRestaurant owner should look into this as they are loosing their customers

I had visited here at Konkani Haus 3-4 times already and always love the places its delicious food and their Beverages especially.The ambiance is very elegant and astounding, the decor is done very finely.Here they also have some silent music playing in the background, so it makes the surroundings feel pleasant and keeps your mood great accompanied by the delicious food.The quality of the food, as well as the quantity, is great and the beverages are perfectly made.The Best from the Menu I have tried always and would also recommend would be;1. I visited here with my friends. we tried following food.chicken tandoor platter - there were 3 types of chicken tandoor in a platter. malai kabab, chicken seekh kabab and chicken malvani kabab.vangi kaap - Kaap means cut in Marathi so this simply refers to cuts of vangi ( brinjal) which are crispy pan fried. its a perfect starter for vegeterian people.chicken lapeta - Chicken Lapeta. Served with thick red masala. it was medium spicy.bombil rawa fry - bombil was cripsy and spicy. you can eat this as a starter or with chapati.and crab masalaOverall good experience of konkani haus.

Konkani Haus is a perfect destination for some mouth-watering konkani and maharashtrian cuisine.To begin with me order to mocktails namely, Shahalyacha Shake which was an amazing blend of shahalyachi malai with sugar frozen milk and pinch of cardamom. Kaju kesar Shake,it was a delicious shake made with cashew paste and kesar syrup along with vanilla ice cream.Konkani Haus has a wide range of veg and non veg starters and appetizers that you can choose from. Thus we ordered a Cheesy Murgh Kebab which had some delicious junk of chicken stuffed with cheese. Prawns Koliwada that had some mouth-watering prawns tosted with sizzling spices. We couldnt resist our and so we also ordered a Sungthya Che Voddo which is actually prawns in form of pattice simply delicious.In main course, we ordered Mutton Kheema Masala along with Tandul Bhakri which was really delicious.In dessert, we ordered Kharwas and Gulab Jamun both the perfect end to our meal.Overall we had an amazing experience, the ambience was very spacious and comfortable, staff were very cooperative.Do give it a try. Konkani Haus Restaurant & Bar, located just opposite to Vandana Talkies, Panch Pakadi in Thane is a very elegantly styled restaurant on the theme of Konkan. they are listed in the Best Of Mumbai Collection and I couldnt agree more. Started off the dinner with a drink, Peru Pudina Fizz, Guava being one of my favorite fruit and a fanatic of anything mint I had to go for it. A single sip of this drink had me, loved every aspect of it. the taste the flavor and I was completely refreshed and ready to dig in. For Appetizer, Stuffed Bombil, Ukda Mutton. Coiled Bombil fried in crisp marinated with malvani masala smeared with rava was stuffed with minced prawns one of the best appetizer I have had recently goes really well with the Pudina chutney served with it. Ukda Mutton was again one of their specialty, which was also again a good pick. choicest mutton pieces sauted in medium spices which was quite sober in taste. For Mains, called for Chimboricha Kalvan which is nothing but a Konkan Crab Preparation. This dish gave really a comfort to the stomach right amount of spice and very rich in aroma really compliment well with the Bakhri. Loved it! Ended a fantastic meal by their signature dessert, Ukadiche Modak. Two Huge Modak served with a vati of Ghee. definetely one of the must haves.Really enjoyed the Garghuti Meal here, Big ups for Chef Parag Joglekar for making a truely iconic Konkan restaurant for the masses. Good food and generous serving .. They also have Chinese dishes along with the konkan dishes so we went for chicken crispy for starters which didnt disappoint at all hot and crispy would not recommend for delivery though as it might soggy due to the vapour. Tried the Surmai and Prawns Thalis, the fish they used was fresh and rassas were not to spicy and good taste though would recommend having Chapppati or Bhakari as the Wade were not up to the mark.. The ambience is appealing with wooden interiors.We had Veg Platter, Chicken Platter, Surmai Tawa Fry, Veg Thali and Special Kheer.Firstly, we had Veg Platter which had varieties of Wadis and Kaaps including Kothimbir Wadi, Aloo Wadi, Kelyachye Kaap and Vangi Kaap. So we were travelling towards station last month that’s when we noticed a new restaurant getting set up and I being a hardcore non vegetarian decided to go to this place when it opens. So the day arrived and I was here along with my other friends.In food we ordered couple of fish starters and one chicken platter.In Fish we had Prawns Fry, Surmai Fry and Bombil Fry. Prawns were sour to our liking and rest of the fish was good. Chicken platter surprisingly was good.In Mains we had Mutton curry which was simply superb with mutton cooked to perfection and also Chicken curry was nice.In Mocktails we had traditional Koka Sarbat and Nimbu PaaniAmbience is top notch with beautiful props perfectly placed at across restaurant, from entrance you cannot make out how big this place is. A great place for seafood lovers. I specially love the spices used in Konkani food, hence this place was just perfect for me.Service was very promot and the waiters were quite helpful.The surmai fry and rawas fry were extremely delicious. Suprisingly some of the chicken starters like chicken tandoor, chicken malvani kabab and seekh kaba were also great.We had a typical thali for main course. Both the curries - chicken malvani and prawns gasshi were amazing (a bit spicy).All this with some yummy sol kadi is pure bliss.We ended our meal with some sweet Ratalyachi kheer and mangane. And lastly Murgh Hirwa masala Tikka which is chicken roasted in green Malwani masala. The taste of the food was good. Ambience is also nice. Staff service is good too.

This place is the newest addition to my places to go to for some authentic malvani jevan. Things to try - Bombil fry, surmai fry, javlyachi bhaji , mori cha kalvan , prawns malvani madala, bhakri and ukdixhe modak . I could go on for like another few pages coz their food is sooo good...Highly recommended if you want some authentic sea food.
