Tegher Monastery is an early 13th-century Armenian monastery and church located on the southeastern slopes of Mount Aragats near the modern village of Tegher. The architect Vardapet Aghbayrik designed Tegher and the monasteries of Saghmosavank and Hovhannavank during the 13th century. The monastery survived intact during a time when Mongol invasions plagued the lands.

Monastery in Armenia, Aragatsotn region. Located on the southeastern slope of Mount Aragats at an altitude of 1700 meters above sea level in a village of the same name. It was founded in the 13th century. The monastery consists of the domed church of the Virgin Mary, built in 1213, and added to it in 1221 the narthex. The construction of the complex was completed by 1232. The fence of the complex in 1467 was erected by Sargis Byurakantsi. In 1950-1952 the domes of the church and chapels were repaired, the roof was covered with tuff tiles. In 1975-1976 The upper rows of the walls of the church and the narthex were repaired, and the cornices were strengthened. Near the monastery, the ruins of a hospital operating in the Middle Ages have been preserved. Such a construction is a unique phenomenon in the architecture of medieval Armenia.

At Aragatsotn Diocese, on the southern slope of Mount Aragats, this pupil at the edge of the deep canyon is the Church of the Holy See. Many people are known as Drogers. It is said to be so, because it has been proclaimed ancient medicinal herbs. However, there is a more reliable version, according to which the princess Makhachatun finds the place where she has decided to build a church dedicated to the memory of her late husband, Vache Vachutians prince. She was looking for a place where all the four provinces of her husband - Aragatsotn, Bjni, Ararat and Armavir - could be seen. The monastery is also being built on Vachutians grave.
