All types of shops are present in the market like grocery shops, footwear shop, fish market, meat market, duty paid shops, electric shops, chicken stalls, street vendors, other shops with household related goods. Normally crowded as all items available in the market less priced. Vegetables seems to be fresh.

Taliparamba market becomes very active in the mornings. Taliparamba is a very vibrant hilltown of Kerala state. There are two temples of international reputation. They are the Trichambaram Krishna Temple and the Rajarajeshwari Shiva Temple. There is one old Mosque on the market road with a beautiful Madhrassa called Quvvathul Islam. The hanging bridge at Kuttiyeri village attracts many visitors. There is a hiking spot at Paithal Valley 1371 meters above the sea level. Sir Syed College campus at Karimbam has a beauty of its own because of the rolling hills around it. Karimbam Agricultural Farm has a small rainforest-like wood where rare species are protected. They also maintain an excellent fruit orchard. Syed Nagar mosque is located in an idyllic and photogenic location on Alakode road. Tagore Highschool, located on a hillock here, is also very photogenic.
