Talcher road railway station is a railway stationwhich is about 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) from Talcher. It is a satellite railway station of Talcher town. Talcher railway station is located in the city premises and is terminus railway station.Talcher road railway station developed during the expansion of industrial carriageway and corridor of NALCO Aluminium Plant, FCI and NTPC. A double track was already present up to Talcher Town for facilitation of movement of coal. The Talcher-Sambalpur rail line constituted in year 1987 ended its final works in 1996 became operational in 1998. The station came up in 1992 and henceforth gained a lot of importance.

This is one dead end station on the route Cuttack to Sambalpur. Few train (tapaswini , Angul Puri fast passanger) travel through this. This is a old station catering to the needs of nearby coal based industrial belt area. but recently renovated. A small but clean & safe place.

Not a big railway station. Good for travelling in local. Somehow improves in the last few months in terms of information providing services. Not much long distance travelling trains pass through this station.

4 star is given for its safety... In comparison to the nearer stations of Talcher, Talcher road gets more trains on its way but at night times the roads not safe.!! Also its a stoppage station which means long distance trains stop here to change its engine.. but big improvement needed to build more platforms in order to get more trains as its situated near the center of the town...

Railway transport is most important for todays human life.... It is a best station for local peoples... & we.. Realy it helps peoples for business transaction....

It is a terminal station..here engine is changed for coaching trains..it is highest earning station in East coast railway zone..it has only two nos platform for coaching trains...and total 14 no of tracks..talcher people are simple..here all tea stall are tasty..

Well maintained station , but few trains are available

Its good railway station but all trains are not coming to this station,actually you find all trains in talcher road, but talcher road is not safety in night. there are only two platform in working conditions 1no or 2no and rest are used for coal and other transportation.

Good clean station but train frequency is low. Station have only two platform. For Bhubanewar or puri in morning 5.30 and 6.00 there is two local running daily and in evening both train reach upto 9.00 and 10.00. in between there are hardly a few train are there.

Its not a busy station. Only particular days in week it is having connectivity to Bhubaneswar. But train journey is fast from Talcher- Bhubaneswar, you can search from TalcherRoad(TLHR) instead of Talcher(TLHR).
