In the 2001 Sundarban, the Sunderbans Bachaoo slogan was held in protest against the exploration of gas and oil and three-day National Sundarban fair was held in the city of Khulna. 84 public-private, social-cultural, professional and voluntary organizations gave direct and indirect support to this huge event. The President inaugurated this conference.
