Fun night out. Wings are delicious and beer is cold. If your looking for a unique night out to get a drink and some chicken. Good place. They feed the raccoons scraps out back, kids absolutely love watching them all out back.

Ok, so, Raccoons!!Oh and the fried chicken is good, ours was cooked when we ordered it so it took a while and was piping hot! As were the potato wedge fries. Macaroni salad is excellent. This is a local landmark eatery. Dont expect fancy. We had paper plates, plastic cutlery, and super-friendly service.

The chicken is to die for! Tender juicy...even the white meat! I am not necessarily a white meat person, but wow it has taste!!!! I have been here a few times now, and it is a cool kind of wildness feel place. The chance to see all these raccoons is awesome, too!!! They are known for it. Price is amazing!

Its a place to hang out and eat delicious chicken. Not fancy but entertaining with all the different types of people that stop in! The racoons are a added bonus. They have dine in and carryout as well. They also have outdoor dining as well!

Nice place with a very unique atmosphere. We came and were one of their last tables. Chicken was not the best as it honestly seemed like it needed cooked a bit more. Beer is very cheap!

I hadn’t been here in 20 years. I used to go with my family when I was really young, and I remembered watching the raccoons and loving it! 20 years later, and it still holds up. The best fried chicken I’ve ever had, cheap drinks, and entertainment. I’d rate it more than 5 stars if I could!

We read about how great the fried chicken was...and it did not disappoint! The breading was delicious, the meat juicy and it was served piping hot. We even got to see a few of the trash pandas everyones so fond of. 🦝

Why haven’t I been here before now? Food and service was amazing. Not to mention the outdoor entertainment. Our bartender even made sure our drinks were exactly how we wanted it.

Had never been here before. My mom had been craving fried chicken so came here on a recommendation and could not have had a better time. Our waitress was very friendly and prompt and the friend chicken was a 10 out of 10 for me! It is cash only and you can only order a half chicken so if you want specific pieces youre out of luck. That being said, the prices are so reasonable that seems like a minor nit pick to me. If youre looking for a swanky atmosphere this isnt your place but if you come here expecting that, I feel like thats more on you. The raccoons are highly entertaining. Will be back for sure. HIGHLY recommended!

Great Fried Chicken! It came piping hot! Sides could have been a tad more generous but the atmosphere makes up for that.Only thing really keeping them from the 5th STAR.

On vacation with family, and our relatives brought us here for dinner. Absolutely phenomenal. The chicken dinner is definitely the center piece. Highly recommend this place. And the raccoons were awesome too!

Wow really juicy perfectly fried chicken! Amazing chicken tenders and macaroni salad is a must try!! Potato wedges undercooked but overall great service and satisfaction. Make sure to come later at night if you wanna see the raccoons since there are nocturnal animals.

So glad we went there, lived out of state for many years but always remembered them. Great ole nostalgic chicken place. Had a great meal and ice cold beer. Love the gizzard & livers they serve. Very busy place. Plenty of parking & nice clean restrooms.

The staff are very friendly. The fried chicken is the best in town. Whatever you do not eat, that food feeds the raccoons and cats. You can enjoy your food while watching the animals eat as well. There is an area where you can sit outdoors to eat and smoke. I will be returning.

Wow what an awesome place, everyone so nice. Had only one night in Omaha, I chose right. Came from California for work, I like to try places with something unique and this place was it. Be it was mostly the 20 fat raccoons eating outside while watching you eat some delicious fried chicken in the woods. I was saving the chicken breast for last, dreading it being died out. Turned out to be pretty dam juicy. Tourists don’t be fooled by the drive of this off the path eatery. End up walking in with nice people that genuinely are happy to say hello. If this was in California, no one would look at you, I almost didn’t know what to say back, to used to stuck up people.

Still some of the best chicken in the area. And the raccoons are still so entertaining 😍

Food was phenomenal! Amazing taste at low cost with huge sizes. Saw 3 raccoons and a few Blue Jays out the window and our server was perfect.

We got there at 6:30 and still didn’t have our food at 8:30. Only put in 3 orders for our family. My first time there, and will never go back. Horribly run. Go to surf side where you will get great food with efficient service!

Ive been going to the Alpine Inn with my parents since I was a little girl. Its always been around and I hope it always will be. Seeing the cats, raccoons, and the occasional deer always make my day. Always and forever a favorite place 💕

We arrived at 4:30, were not properly seated and ended up seating ourselves at the bar table (we had a group of 8). We finally were asked what we wanted to eat (even though we were on the bar side still), but we were never provided a menu. We got to the point where we all ordered the same thing because we didnt know what else to order, so fried chicken it was. My biggest complaint, is that from time of arrival, it took 2 full hours, until the group I was with finally had food in front of them. I did think the food was good, and the barista was very kind. The young girl that took our name for the waiting list didnt smile once. I wont go back, but the chicken was good.

Best broasted chicken in Council Bluffs and Omaha. Plus you get to see the wildlife outside while you eat. Food is always hot when it comes out!

You must visit here at least once, if only for the raccoon show out back. Seriously, though, the chicken is consistently delicious, service excellent, and cold beer is ready at the tap. Bring cash, as they do not accept credit cards.

Am 64, been coming here since I was 13! Always great food but there used to be oodles of raccoons! Didnt see one... my children loved it and bring their children!

Fried chicken was good and crispy, yet still juicy inside. However the wait staff was awful, especially the little female bartender. No greeting, no checking back, no rhyme or reason to how she waited on people. Three tables who arrived several mi minutes after we did, were waited on first by her instead of us. It wasnt until after I made eye to eye contact with her and waived to get her attention that she finally came to our table. Unpleasant gal, nor personality or politeness at all. Never came back to check on us. We had to ask twice for our check and a to go bag.

Always the best fried chicken, excellent sides and great service. Got the best best in the house, right next to the raccoon stand! Kids loved it, and we got to see all kinds of wildlife. Try the new hand breaded chicken tenders!

The little girl server needs a major improvement in her attitude and a major improvement in her customer service skills. We waited around 45 minutes to be seated. Given that I work in the restaurant industry, I can be very understanding of that. But while waiting, both the girls were very dismissive, and then the younger one was extremely rude and overall unprofessional. If she was working for me in my restaurant, she would no longer be employed. Once we were seated, our waitress Jamie was wonderful. But I would never go back solely due to that little girls attitude problem.

This is my go to place anytime someone new is visiting from Omaha. The food is great, the waiters are friendly and treat you like their family and the entertainment (wildlife) is great.Anytime our family is in town from Guatemala, Alpine Inn is the first place they want to eat.

Hole in the wall, hokey, rural, dive bar, with some of the nicest folks youll ever meet. The decor is a blast from the past, and the menu fried and true to bar food fare. Their fried chicken is a local favorite. Pool table, and floor to ceiling windows in the dining room giving to great views of the woodland creatures. The raccoons come by for evening dinner and its loads of fun watching them eat.

Great dive bar that has been around for decades! Great presure cooked deep fried chicken. Must try the potato wedges, they are awesome! Great place to bring the kids at sundown as the dining room has a row of picture windows with a platform around a tree just outside the windows. They place all the chicken bone from the previous day on the platform which draws dozens of raccoons in from the surrounding woods! Kids love to watch these critters devour these offerings, quite entertaining! If you like a dive bar with great food, great prices and great entertainment in the evenings, this is a place you must try! Cash only with an ATM onsite.

They didnt really have a vast selection but the food that was available was pretty good. It was just typical bar food like chicken strips and wings. We came at a busy time so we had to wait to sit, but I feel thats a given when its a busy establishment.

I have been to the alpine for years and love the fact that the bartender could have a shot with me but now they can’t and I’m not a fan. This place has been a staple but if they change to much I’m done. Closing early isn’t a great thing I like coming in late when I have been out and this is my last call!!

Went to this place tonight it was our 13th Wedding anniversary! We are NOT the fancy type and just wanted a down home meal! Ordered a pitcher of beer at the bar and gizzard meal chicken meal and cheeseburger. After two hours we left no food still put down 20.00 on the bar just because times are hard right now. We asked about our food six times! Never received my second pitcher of beer either. Nice people terrible service/experience!

What a unique experience! Want to eat dinner with raccoons, stray cats and deer? This is your place! Dine next to large windows that show lots of wildlife eating the leftovers from the restaurant. Food was good. Took a while but the eccentric waitress was extremely nice and wanted to make sure we had the best experience. Even had us move to a better table when it opened it.
