I and my family have been with this practice for years now and they have consistently been professional, caring, safe and extremely responsive to all our health needs. The doctors, other healthcare and admin staff are all very kind. I would highly recommend them to anyone in the area.

As an NHS doctor myself I can highly recommend this GP practice. The doctors, nurses and other healthcare practitioners are exceptionally knowledgeable and also caring with it. I have been unfortunate to have a number of health issues over the years but have implicitly put my entire trust in their hands. Thank you so much to all of you.

I could only really provide a comment about the service provided if anyone ever answered the phones when I tried to make an appointment!

Spent hours on the phone to get through. Finally answered, asked reception person if emergency prescription can be issued for Metformin (diabetic) due to accidently tipped tablet organiser. To my huge disappointment, the receptionist asked me to come to the surgery and fill in the form. I have explained that due to 12hrs shift work stretched over several days that not going to be possible. I asked very kindly and there was still no sympathy at all. The receptionist Mary was adomant that she could not help and wasnt going to do anything about it. I dont think she knows that Metformin is a life saving medication that people with diabetes must take every day.

No words can describe how inadequate and unfit for purpose this practice is.

This has been my GP practise for more than 60 years and is on my doorstep.Due to the Covid crisis my recent (postal)invitation for a vaccinefrom the NHS would involve either a 10 mile+ round trip to central Birmingham or a 5 mile trip to the nearest participating pharmacy. I suffer from Angina aggravated by cold weather. The initial NHS contact offers a specific option...(Quote)..you have a choice of places to be vaccinated... Please ignore this letter if... You would prefer to be vaccinated through your local GP services..if you do you just need to wait for your GP services to contact you which if they have not done so already will be soon. You dont need to contact your GP.. Needless to sayThe letter was dated Feb 7th and I am still awaiting my Vaccine... The practise is obviously not interested so neither am I

I like this doctors and have been here for a few years, never had a problem with the actual appointments and the doctors have.I know that the pandemic is causing problems with getting appointments, but since March they have removed their ‘virtual queues’ that they put you in when you phone up at 8 in the morning. You have to phone at 8 as you can only book an appt for that day, and when you do phone it’s constantly ‘user busy’ for 20/30 odd minutes.I’m guessing it’s to deter people from going to the doctors (which if so is awful as we apparently should have access to the doctors!). I worry that this is not inclusive to elderly people or people who are not confident with using the phone. I can’t imagine being a vulnerable person unable to book an appointment because of this.Sort it out, manor!

My family and I have been patients with this practice for a few years now. My children are 3 and 8 years old. We never have issues booking appointments and have always received a professional service. Its about time people spoke up for the excellent work the staff at this practice do.

Vile receptionists - need training in basic customer care. The worst doctors Ive ever had, very rarely need the doctors but when I do I cant get an appointment for over 3 weeks! Called with a muscle spasm in my back today and was told to go to A&E - they should be ashamed of themselves!

I have recently moved to the area and wished I had not changed doctors. Tried to make an appointment, the receptionist want to know details of your issue and try to talk you out of an appointment. When you finally convince them you wish to see a doctor you can be waiting almost 2 weeks for an appointment. The doctors are always running late, 1/2 hour plus. Avoid!

We were recommended to register with this surgery when we moved into the area. The GPs and Practice Nurses are on the whole professional, approachable and caring. Generally if i need an apointment for myself or kids and we call in the morning we get an appointment that morning. I have found the receptionists to be polite and very helpful. At times when i have required a prescription for my children (repeats) they have done it over the phone for me and ensured it goes straight across to the pharmacy. When i hear peoples opinions on other GP practices, i think we are very lucky with ours at Ash Furlong.

Rude and flippant receptionist. We called on a Saturday to ask if doctor was open for our 3 year old daughter who was developing quite a rash that was causing her some irritation and distress. When asked if open the receptionist said well im here arent i answering the phones. So, biting our tongue we asked if the doctor could see our daughter only to be told no as the doctor is pregnant and wont see patients with rashes.

AVOID AVOID AVOID !! Terrible doctors surgery.I visited this surgery 14 months ago with circulation issues in my legs. I was promised a referral that never arrived. I called the surgery to explain this, they booked another appointment. After the second appointment I was told I would be referred, this never happened. I called the surgery again to explain this and they booked another appointment in which I was promised a referral for the third time. This never happened.I have just called the surgery again, and they wanted me to attend the doctors for a diagnosis on the same problem for the FOURTH TIME !!When I explained that I have a disability and cant keep attending the doctors with promises of help that never arrives, they got offended, accused me of shouting and being unreasonable. They then refused to continue with the conversation. When I explained that the phone call was being recorded so I can prove that I was not being aggressive or unreasonable, they refused to continue with the phone call.Disgusting. I am now going to forward the recorded call to the local health trust and hope they take my concerns seriously.Worst doctors I have ever used.On another note, someone I knew died through their misdiagnosis !!If you do find yourself attending here, avoid Morag Dugas !!
