Well, here is everything that anyone needs to know about SVNIT, SuratPlacements :Placements depend on various factors such as the branch of the candidate, rankings of the Institute and the potential of the batch.To elaborate, for the branch Computer Engineering, median salary as observed in the last few years is around 10 l.p.a. (lakhs per annum) which is a pretty good package, if comparing with higher ranked Institutes (the average for almost all top ranked NIT’s will be around 10 to 12 l.p.a) and for every other branch, the average placement is about 5 l.p.a to 6.5 l.p.a. and is observed to be consistent in this region for 4 years now. For branch Civil Engineering, the average package offered was 5.79 l.p.a., the minimum was at 3.25 l.p.a, and the maximum was a whopping 19 l.p.a., similarly for Chemical Engineering, the average, minimum, maximum were observed to be 6.55 l.p.a, 3.24 l.p.a., 19 l.p.a. respectively. For Electronics and Comm. Engineering, average, minimum, maximum were observed to be 6.54 l.p.a, 3.25 l.p.a., 10.53 l.p.a. respectively. similarly for Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering observed average package was 6 l.p.a., the minimum was 3.25 l.p.a and the maximum was 19 l.p.a. In terms of percentage, about 80% of students get placed on an average year (based on last 4 years data), to be precise in the academic year 2017– 18, out of 654 eligible students 500 were placed and the number is likely to be around 80% for the coming years.If the institute Rankings are higher then the companies dont hesitate much while recruiting students and the placement process is steady and smooth, but when the same rankings are down, then the candidate needs to prove himself and companies dont recruit students as smoothly as if they were taking, when the rankings of the Institute were higher.The placements are most likely to depend on the batch, if the students of the batch are talented and hardworking, it doesnt matter what the branch of the candidate is and what the ranking of the institute is.2. Infrastructure:Firstly talking about the WiFi connectivity, is absolutely superb, speed may go up to 10 Mbps late at night. WiFi connectivity is throughout the Institute i.e. in hostels, at library, at departments etc.All the department are having their old buildings and new ones(except Mech. Dept) and new dept. are having excellent lab facilities in which most of the labs are having air conditioning facility.The newly constructed library is where the heart of the college lies. The new library was built in 2013 for a price of 33 crore rupees and this place is fully equipped with modern stuff, it has central AC facility, separate cabins for multiple purposes, reading room facility and availability of thousands of books from various topics along with engineering.The sports facilities are also above average, the institute offers a basketball court, a tennis court, a football ground, a cricket ground, table tennis room, a huge badminton court, and very good gym facility.3. Faculty and Curriculum:The faculty and the curriculum depends on the Stream. Our institute is famous from decades for it’s Mechanical Engineering Dept. (considered as best in Gujarat and also considered as top 5 among all the NIT’s), It’s Civil Engg. Dept., Its Electrical Engg. Dept. but frankly speaking all the department of the institute are very good in their own rights, but the Electronics dept. of the institute is not considered as good as others because of lack of quality faculties as it is a growing field, lack of instruments etc. but according to me the dept is as good as its students and if students have interest in the subject, then they can lift the morale of any given dept. in any given institute.

The National Institute of Technology, Surat (NIT Surat), formally known as Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology or SVNIT, is an engineering institute of higher education established by the Parliament of India in 1961. It is one of 30 National instituted of technology in India recognized by the Government of India as an Institute of national importance.

It is very much silent and versatile place. As here so many students are doing their btech, mtech and PhD, so you will be always surrounded by minded and good people. The canteen facility and hostels are really good. The roads, infrastructure and other entitys are also appreciable. There is also playground and tennis court available. Campus is also equipped with gym and other sport related stuffs. Overall this all thing makes this campus something special, vibrant, unique and bold.

Infrastructure wise, the Institute is very good and also being in the middle of the city offers it a good accessibility. The main reason Im not satisfied being a student here that they could not justify their fees hike amid the pandemic and forced students to pay it. The fees was increased by a factor of 6, with no transparency on how the money was used. Institutes response towards student query was also very bad, and the reason for hike they mentioned was complete nonsense. Being a student I had many expectations of studying in a government college but all those were thrown in drain. The most important thing that government college offered was good quality education in a justifiable amount than other private ones. But Im sorry to say this, the government education sector is also being privatized and turning into a money making business.I hope everyone hear who reads this question the current system of their ways and measures towards promoting education.

Worst Engineering college of India with corrupt administration which is full of lazy and arrogant people. All of the infrastructure in this college is deteriorating. The new buildings such as NCRC are complete fake show its shame on the name of NIT.

The institution is well equipped with state of art facilities and has a fairly good faculty. With Mechanical and Civil Department boasting of an experienced faculty, the Computer and Electronics Department Boasts of a superb Placement record. The Chemical and Electrical disciplines are quite good as well.. It also offers great sporting facilities for budding sportsmen and has one of the best hostel facilities available in the country. This Institute was established in 1961 as one of the RECs for imparting technical education in Civil, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. In the year 1983-84 the Under Graduate programmes in Electronics Engineering was introduced and in the year 1988-89 the UG programmes in Computer Engineering and Production Engineering was started. In the year 1995-96, UG programme in chemical Engineering was introduced. In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the University Grants Commission (UGC) Act, 1956, the Central Government on the advice of the University Grants Commission, has declared the Sardar Vallabhbhai Regional College of Engineering & Technology (SVREC), Surat to Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Surat with status of “Deemed University” with effect from 4th December 2002. The Institute has been granted the status of ‘Institute of National Importance’ w.e.f. Aug. 15, 2007. At present, the Institute is offering Six UG Programmes, Eighteen PG Programmes and Three M.Sc. Five Years Integrated Programme including doctoral programme in all above branches.

NIT SURAT is much better than DAIICT university. The rationale is given:Prof. Sahasrabuddhe, Prof. Radha Parikh, Prof. Asim Banerjee and Prof. Manjunath Joshi have Proven Criminal Charges against them in the Legal case filed against them in National Human Rights Commission. These Cheap fellows launched a prolonged series of Honey Traps and Stalkers against me.
