One of my favourite places to have real Dosas and authentic Filter Coffee. There are 2 outlets in Surat and are clean and hygienic and very well maintained.Note : its a place where they serve actual South Indian food, so dont expect some Cheese loaded and strange combinations that are available in other places in Surat.

It is quite a good place to eat south indian food. I was there with my colleagues and we ordered butter mysore masala dosa, idli and vada. The taste was amazing and place is too good. At last we had the famous filter coffee. Everyone should visit the place.

Good place for authentic south indian food. Serves hot and tasty idli, medu vada, dosa rasam , rice and also podi dosa. Clean and hygienic place for food lovers.

I suggest not to visit this place. Worst mysore dosa I have ever ate. Mysore masala is simply a meshed potato, no taste. Its not a sambhar its a simple dal.

Overall nice. But cant repeat for at least 1-2 months.

Awesome place to have an authentic South Indian food.I had thatte idli with podi and filter coffee for breakfast here.You might not find many food places open in morning at around 8am, near this area in Surat.But somehow I found this one, and man I am glad.Just eating that one giant idli with flawlessly densed coconut chutney met my morning food needs.I savoured every bite of that idli with podi and chutney.The taste of that coconut chutney lingered on my tongue longer than I had expected.Also, the filter coffee I had, was indistinguishably like the one made in my south Indian friends house.(loved it)It can be a bit costly place for having just breakfast.But again, I guess its worth it.

Ive visited many south indian restaurant but here the taste was different. Food is worth 5 stars but the most uncomfortable seats ever is just not acceptable.5/8/21: 6 pm: Stood for 10 minutes to know whether its open or closed, as the door is open but lights and AC is off. The person at the counter is too busy over his mobile phone to even respond. So much for customer satisfaction.

Last Sunday, we visited with wife. Although fine infrastructure of Restaurant, we had trouble in stomach after eating Dhosa and Uttapam. Appeared food was stale.Chutney also appeared old. Not recommended.

Yes its simply madras - recipes were bang on but food was costly according to quantity , sambhar was too much watery , too much peppercorn in pongal.

Its quite authentic South Indian restaurant. If one love traditional South Indian cuisine then its a must vidt place. However, if you looking for typical Surti / Gujarati south indian taste then better find some other place as you will be disappointed. They have got excellent menu with many options. Ofcourse, need to include more items and also include more south indian chutneys..

Nice place to have proper south indian breakfast. Poori bhaji is just awesome. Fresh and crispy vada , steaming idli and proper dosa are really good to have. The filter coffee completes the experience of a proper south indian place.

I would say that Simply Madras is an Average or Slightly below average restaurant. Food taste is average and definitely it doesnt tastes like proper South Indian. I ordered 3 Mysore Masala Dosa and 2 Masala Dosa. Dosa size is big. Sambhar was a bit salty and its taste wasnt Madrasi! The service was literally very poor. The rating on Zomato is high, but I think service was poorly handled. You have to ask for the service you need for at least 2-3 times, thats what I felt. Overall its 2.7 rating by my side. Dont think of it as if its bad restaurant, but its not an excellent one.

I dont like Test personally ...as It is Original Madrasi Test..If Some one like original Madasi test , Its Ur Place...Food Quality is Good...

I had gone to the simply Madras today and I dont have cash I mean I am with my guest and if I pay with cash they will give money. I said will you take Google pay. The manager say no but he said me that give me money next time. Which manger is good like this ? I love simply Madras. Its good at all. Staff and manager is very good.

(I personally saw the schedule of Regular cleaning of Refrigerator, Seating area and Kitchen.)- Reasonable rate for meals.- Cooperative and Welcoming staff.I am always excited to visit this place and have breakfast/lunch/dinner with friends and family.

Seriously didnt expected such a service from simply Madras, When I entered hardly anybody was interested to take order...person sitting on counter was least bother to come n ask. While having breakfast ordered tea but person who took the order forget to say in kitchen. 2 star just because taste was good. Otherwise 0

The ambience is good, the tables, walls were yellow I dont know why. The staff was good. Now the food, it was ok. Sambhar was not as good as I expected I had better Sambhar experience at sai nath and at chauta bazar. Maedu wada was also okish. Hygiene was also great. Overall it is a good family Friday night south indian nearby restaurant.

Good and authentic south Indian experience with awesome ambience. Staff is quite cooperative and well trained. The quality could have been a bit better in taste and preparation wise.

Looks like a new restaurant opened recently. The effort of the owners are appreciated, but lot of things need improvement on many fronts. Especially on food quality and taste, presentation, service and water. Please do not use steel utensils if you want to market it well. Staff communication with customers also needs improvement. All in all, there is lot of scope for improvement. Also appreciate for your efforts to give south Indian other dishes which is hardly available in Surat.
