There is no place for schedul parking area and the area of mosque is look quit good but people are try to explore him good hebitual religious purpose....

Super nice family guesthouse!The owner and his family are very friendly and helpful. The walk to the city (15min) is a very nice through the dry river and it is nice to stay outside of the busy town. They offer fresh and healthy food and filtered and cooked water to refill your bottle and reduce plastic. The family has a lot of adopted kids. They are around but are not loud and very sweet. Its nice to help this social project.

Wonderful hospitality, atmosphere, food and human connection here. The family is outstandingly friendly. The quiet of the area and the short walk into town is a perfect retreat away from chaos. Beautiful views of the temple across the riverbeds as well. I will remember the views and the sunsets from the rooftop aloft with interesting and engaging conversations among family and guests alike!

This is one of the best guest houses Ive stayed at in all of my travels. Amazingly welcoming and generous family that makes you feel at home. The location is a bit of a long walk from the city, but this makes it quiet and very peaceful. The dormitory is extremely affordable and the food is decently priced and very tasty. Oh, and they have hot water for the showers!

This is the best Indian family Ive ever met! I really like owners and their children. There are a good house, quite location and delicious food. If you have some problems the owner will try to help you. He is a very kind man with a big heart ❤️

Not to recommend if youre traveling alone as a woman, because it is far from center in a pretty dark corner. Owner gives out easily medication and is pretty keen on setting injections to guests when they feel ill rather then recommending a Docter. During the day people (friends?family?staff?) come constantly without warning or knocking in your private booked room.

Most friendly and kind people. I felt so at home here. As a solo female traveler i felt very safe here. Great location away from the crowds and easy access to the main temple. Rooms are cheap and simples. Food is organic and very delicious. Totally recommend this place.

Everything about the guest house was great—the problem is that I heard from multiple sources that the school/orphanage that they are supposedly running alongside it is a sham and the children are not being educated, but used for labor. I’m not sure if this is true or how to confirm it, but many neighbors with no apparent ulterior motives told me this, so I left.

Fantastic place! Not far away from the center. The family is real nice and helpful. The Omelettes and the bowl of veg are delicious!

Islam and his family are really great! You will feel like at home. They serve tasty and well cooked organic food that they grow by themseves. The house is situated just 10 minutes from the main temple in a very quiet and peaceful village. Due to the distance and the absence of street illumination is not suggested to walk back here after dark, especially for solo travellers. The kids of the house are very quiet and polite, they all make a fantastic family and in just few days you will feel part of it!

Good place

Highly recommended guesthouse if you look for a quiet place and unique experience in India. The place is actually both an orphanage and a rural hospital. Rooms are very cheap and the hosts and family are incredibly nice.

We stayed at Ansari House for fews nights, it was incredible meet the family owner and his family. Really quite spot away from te busyness 20 mts walk from the temple.The the price was good and a food is great. :)

Its not an hostel , its your home . Mr Ansari runs this hostel for funding of orphan kids who lives in the same hostel .The hostel is little off road but you will surely enjoy your time here , apart from busy bodhgaya .I will highly recommend this hostel for anyone who is kind hearted and does want to see a normal indian family.I hope I can rate this 1000 stars .

This was a former hospital which has been converted. This isnt a place for everybody but is perfect for certain travelers. I am 1 of those. It is remarkably cheap as in 1 of cheapest places I have probably ever stayed in. I stayed in a dorm room which I guess was once a ward. Each bed has a mosquito net. There are showers with hot water albeit, not the cleanest but usable.There is also free WiFi.On the top floor you can get food which is veggie only and really good. There are nice views of Bodh gaya. There was a lovely atmosphere with the family who run it and the others who stayed here. The location is across the river but it was a dry riverbed in November so I could walk across it as opposed to using the bridges. I enjoyed my 2 days here and if you are a backpacker or someone who doesnt need luxury Id recommend it.

Two nights stay in Ansari House created a lot of contradictive feelings. Place is interesting, rooftop amazing, owner is very kind but service was not very good and our room a lot overpriced.The owner of the place is very polite and friendly and runs this house as a place adopting orphants and taking care of them. They are very nice and friendly as well. This idea we liked very much so we came. Place also offers cheap rooms on booking.When we arrived the offered room on booking was not available. We were offered a nice room but much more expensive. However, because of the orphants we did not feel comfortable to negotiate the price and accepted it. Later many talks led to the orphants topic and the need of their financial support raising some guilt feelings in us (I hope not on purpose). I understand this may be the whole-life project of the owner (and if yes then it is very praiseful) but we both did not feel comfortable about this issue. I find this approach manipulative.After talking later to other guests it seems like we were not given the true information about prices of rooms. We were paying a lot more believing that we support good thing.Anyway, to sum it up. We got nice room but expensive with low level of service. It was without a towel, soap or toilet paper and there was not warm water as promised. We did not like the place too much. It is far from centre but quiet. Room was clean. Owners approach was sometimes insistent. It was said many times that this is “not a hotel or hostel but home for all of us”. But if advertised on booking we expected better service for the price.

One of the best budget stay options plus owner is really nice!

The room was simply furnished but clean and pleasant and had a powerful shower with plenty of hot water. Their home cooked food, especially paratha was very tasty. Location was perfect for us being less than 15minute walk from busy Bodh Gaya but out of the noise and bustle. You can see the Mahabodhi Temple from the roof terrace where we had breakfast as well as from our room. The family were wonderful and kind, they looked after us very well. Islam and his wife are doing amazing work caring for their own and their many adopted children, who are supported by the profits from the guest house as well as Islams 3 other jobs! I hate this palace no any facilities

Overall very nice

A great value for money homestay. It is situated just across the river from Bodh Gaya, close to the Sujata stupa. It is near enough to Bodh Gaya to easily walk to, but far enough away to avoid the noise.It is run by a wonderful family who take great care of every guest.The food is not only delicious and freshly cooked, but is also great value and very healthy.The view from the rooftop of the Mahabodhi temple across the river is very beautiful, especially at sunset.

Not as much facility so just ok is too so much

Ansari House is a gem of a guest house set in a queue and peaceful rural setting of Bodh Gaya. This is an old hospital/dispensary which was converted. Islam and his family who run this guest house, use it as a means to support the orphanage they have in the same premises. Staying here for a few days was such a pleasant experience! The rooms are basic but clean and spacious. There is round the clock running hot water and proper hot showers! The food they served here are all organic, from their own fields. They use ash instead of pesticides to achieve organic farming! The food is absolutely lovely and large portions. Be sure to try the Thali and the green Tulsi tea! Most of the guests are foreigners who come to enjoy the calm, peaceful surroundings, the lovely food and the great people who run it. When I was there with meditator friends from several countries, found that other similar minded people come there. Islam and his family are very genuine people who are looking to make your experience one to remember.

It was a 4 day stay.I was very relaxed.It was 10 minutes away from the center of Bututa and it was quiet and very good. The children were very cute and we had a great time.The rice was also delicious.I ate banana pancakes twice.

Quiet, very hospitable owner Family members welcome with warmth. Like the same family With food and water service The top floor has a beautiful view. Beside the accommodation there is a large vegetable plot planted by the owner. When the water is dry, you can walk across the river to Bodh Gaya, with a distance of only 800 meters. Children here are very friendly and loving.

Having spent several days in this house, I decided to write a few words for the family who takes care of it - exceptional family. Unforgettable stay, very clean rooms, impeccable shared showers and delicious food. The Wi-Fi is of good quality. I will not forget those happy days !!
