Catered food from this place and received stale rotlis and kadhi. Kadhi has a stench and was very sour. When called to complain about it the lady said rotlis were made the night before. How do you offer catering and then offer stale rotlis?? The rotlis just fell apart the moment they were picked up from the pile. The aaloo Matar sakh had half a bottle of oil which I had to scoop out of the sakh before serving my guests. All my guests complained the food tasted bland and had no flavor. I am very disappointed. I will never recommend bhojan to anyone I know or even recommend for someone to eat at the restaurant.

Good food. First visit and loved the Srikhand Puri with various choices of vegetables. The regular roti and pooranpoli were great too. Will definitely bossier again when we make a trip to Houston.

It is good vegetarian homely food. It is enough for entire family.

Pure vegetarian buffet restaurant. They have friendly staff and clean food. Took my mom for mothers day and she loved it. It is a bit pricey but worth it. Lots of options to choose from. It is kid friendly and they are willing to accommodate dietary restrictions. Would recommend to anyone and will visit again soon.

Very friendly vegetarian Indian buffet. The staff will help you decide what is best. Ive been to many Indian buffets but this one has the friendliest staff Ive ever seen. Dont worry about not being familiar with the food. As a daily meat eater for 50 years I still felt right at home. Enjoy! :-)

Amazing food!!! If there’s no wait to be seated you’ll get your food within minutes of arriving. Super delicious food and all the staff is in a great mood. Immediately became my new favorite restaurant in Houston!

Some items are good but they dont refill the buffet. We were there at 7:15 pm and spent almost an hour, the buffet closes at 9, yet they did not refill the curries. They need to up their game, lot of better options in the neighborhood

Great vegetarian food and exceptional service. The first time we visited, we were greeted warmly at the door, and made to feel at home. We were escorted around the buffet, and each item was explained to us. Its a family run business that feels like you are visiting with the family in their home. The care they show to the place and to their customers is outstanding.

The restaurant has mediocre quality food. The management is really nice and not professional. they truly only care about making money. I highly do not recommend their catering services. their entire goal is to make a profit off of you and provide low level service while charging premium prices. I felt like I was scammed. Agreements previously made are not honored and are said to be forgotten by management. Very disappointing.

This is simply the best Indian restaurant in Houston. The interior is clean and the vegetarian buffet is absolutely amazing. Ive been eating their food for over ten years now (yes, back in the old location, too) and always make this my go-to place for Indian food whenever Im in in SW Houston.The new location is tucked away in the back of a shopping center. Not an ideal location but, hey, neither was the old restaurant.

Love eating here for lunch, as they are located just directly downstairs from where I work at the Hillcroft Shopping Plaza. The food is wonderful. I always love to come here. They treat you well and make fresh, hot food to serve. The price is much more reasonable than most other restaurants of this caliper. You can also ask to order some buffet items to go and they will help you to put everything together. Highly recommend, even if you arent typically into this style of food, there are many things to enjoy at Bhojan.

Terrible food quality and service. Owner is a liar and cheat. Saw multiple spiders and insects crawling on walls...makes you wonder whats in the food? Their previous location burned down, makes you wonder if it was intentional? We will never know the truth. Avoid at all costs

We had the buffet on weekend and the food was so good that we literally overate. So many options with great taste, its worth every penny. Had been to different places in different cities before but by far this is the best.

Awesome North Indian food, good quantity, good quality ingredients used, owner is very nice lady. Definitely come again if around. For me, it is top 3 restaurant for North Indian food in Texas !

We eat this food, it is very, very, very bad. We want good Gujarati foods but this is just warmed up frozen entrees from Indian store and put vast amount of canola oil, because they can get in cheap. They are not making anything properly there. People only like the foods because it is cheap. Serve homemade foods, people will come everytime!

This place is fantastic. Not only is the food always excellent and fresh, but the atmosphere is very warm and friendly. Although it is a vegetarian restaurant, it leaves nothing to be desired.

Did a great job catering food for our indian wedding. They mixed up a few items on our menu we requested, but even though some was the wrong food it tasted good. Would have liked to have all the right food though. Otherwise, good quality!

Theyve closed down the restaurant and now take catering orders only. I believe their kitchen is next to Standard Sweets in Sugarland. We ordered a dinner service for 150 people. Dishes included: plain buttered paratha, surti undhiu, palak paneer, boondi raita, spicy pickle relish, papad, and gulab jamun. The lady who took our order, Pratima, included more than ample food so that several people could take seconds. All dishes were phenomenal. No dish contained any onion or garlic, but was still light, healthy, and filling. I wasnt surprised that the trays were cleared out within 20 minutes of serving. Next time we want to order Indian catering, we know who we can rely on. Thanks Bhojan!

This is the best GUJARATI food in the US! I am originally from Bombay and traveled extensively in the US. It is worth traveling to Houston just for Bhojans thali. The owners/staff are extremely friendly and kaka (uncle) served everyone with care and affection. Coming back to the food - dont let the negative comments detract as they were likely posted by people expecting generic (Punjabi) Indian food or vegetarian (South Indian) food. This food is specifically Gujarati and is the real deal!

Delicious good vegetarian food with vegan options in a buffet style with fresh flat breads and sweets brought to your table as theyre made!

They serve tiffins now. They share their menu every week on Monday. Variety of choices throughout the week. One thali comes with lots of options at descent price. Quality and taste of food is great. Feels like home food with taste. I specifically like their Undiyu, panjabi curry and sweets.

Below average 🍲 - half cooked rice, a different definition of most dishes. Dirty restrooms. The attire of cooks leaves the rest to ones imagination

Their food is HOtT! HOT! HOT! I rate my spice level as 2/5, and this is a full 5. The place is ok, food ok, don’t tell me this is the best vegetarian food in town, I’ve eaten 10x better. And for that price? you could go to one of the best places around.

The food is worst..the buffet costs u around $16 ..menu has very few options..taste is very bad.. really not worth for the amount you pay...Udupi cafe which is near to it is far better than this useless restaurant...no salads or fruits..only two deserts..dal was the worst I had in my life..chole is sour ..highly recommend not to visit..because you will feel bad as I felt especially on weekends if u wish satisfy ur taste buds..

Overpriced for the choices and arrangement. Staff brings chapati, puri and puranpoli to table frequently which is nice. Kids buffet is expensive as well. Crowd can be noisy sometimes and tables are small. Good for people who are vegetarian.

We had buffet lunch on Sat. There were good varieties and also there was Pani Puri.

I had been here today for dinner. There was only another family in the restaurant other than mine - could be due to a weekday and that too at 8pm.This rating is for the over all experience including ambience, cleanliness, food and service.Ambience: Not very great. The place looks very old with dark patches on floor, walls and ceiling.Cleanliness: Dining area was clean. Buffet station also looked clean. The rest rooms seemed to be crying out loud that they need to be cleaned thoroughly once in a while.Food: Okay. Not bad. May be my taste buds were not finding Gujarati food appealing. The only curry I liked was the Mutter Paneer. Chana masala didnt taste anything like it.Service: The service was good. Hot rotis were readily available. There owner was walking around smiling to customers and asking if everything is alright which felt good.Will I visit there again? No. Overall I felt that this is a pricey version of the restaurant next door i.e. Bombay sweets.

Some of the 1 * comments makes me wonder whether these folks are talking about the same Bhojan restaurant which we know since 1996 (they have been at many other locations since then) and have been taking out rotis, chappatis, methi ke thepalas etc every 2 weeks along with sabbjis since then. I am NOT a Gujarati but I am from Bombay (originally from Delhi) and always loved Gujarati food at Samrat, Thakkar in south Bombay.I was told this location in Hillcroft Shopping Plaza, 5901 Hillcroft St, Houston, TX 77036 is CLOSED NOW - some of my friends told me they noticed couple of red tags on the front door a few days back when they went to the restaurant. We were planning to meet a few days back in the evening for dinner.I frequently take out rotis, methi ke thepalas, aloo parathas + sabbjis etc and have been doing so since we first arrived in Houston in 1996 and NEVER noticed whatever was written e.g. stale food etc in take out food except on 2 occasions. I, immediately,brought the matter to the owners attention and it was corrected. The food was NOT stale but the methi ke thepalas and aloo parathas were too oily for my taste as if they were made by non-indian person or not a very experienced chef or chefs assistant ( I am just guessing).I,hope, they open very soon somewhere. I,wish, them ALL THE BEST. ***** all the way.

After having Maharja Bhog, the experience at Bhojan was subpar. The staff was nice but the food wasn’t the best.

Variety of tasty mild ( not spicy) Gujarati flavored food. I love Undhiu, kids love mutter planner and we all love their soft buttered and not buttered chapatis. Buffet speciality is they serve pooranpoli, chapati, puri and Jowar roti on your table.

Bhojan is the epitome of delicious Indian thali. They have a fresh buffet with a great variety and will make Roti, bajra roti, puri, and puran puri hot to order when you arrive. Little pricey, but worth the money.

I had been recently and food tasted good.. But the horrible part is it caused indigestion the same day night..Food did not get digested propertly and caused giddiness and vomitting. I think its not a fresh food in Bhojan anymore.. I used to like it few years ago..

I just attended a party fro a family friends function. There was about 260 people there. The food tasted good but once i got home it was nothing but trouble i had stomach pain for three days and my sister also had stomach pain. We got a call from my fathers cousin and he said same issue for his son and wife. THIS IS PATHETIC i used to like this place god know what happened. The one time i went there the food was delicious but the fat lady that ownes the place was very RUDE!!! I will never recommend this place to anyone especially for catering i think the guy that hosted the party is going to right a formal complaint this was horrible!
