Love enjoying the nature trails here and hope they stay preserved and clean for many years to come
Awesome place. They have great bike trails. Great for the beginner trail rider (except for the root canal). Highly recommend this for the bike trails. There is hiking trails that I have not gone down, but if they are anything like what Ive seen so far, its well maintained and great for family.
We do a lot of Vlogging especially our nature parks. We are nature 🌿 lovers so any parkthat embraces nature and family adventures and puts it on a display for us gets 5 stars. Its really tranquil. Our family loves to explore nature parks when we stay local in Florida as well as when we travel the US and other countries. So to give this 5 stars puts it up there with other countries and islands like Jamaica, Mexico, Puerto Rico, etcand States like Alabama, Virginia, Georgia, NC, SC, Wisconsin, Tennessee, etc. We love this all in one nature and family park. Definitely Topflight worthy.
Excellent place to go for multiple outside activities. Took my son for disc golf. Clean environment and great scenery. Will definitely return.
The park is absolutely huge with so many different trails for biking an hiking. Also has soccer, baseball, and a disc golf course. It also has an awesome huge lake that Im dying to fish. The hiking trails that I went on was at least 4 ta 5 miles long total an i still have more to explore. Love this place. Lil recommendation i have is go the the trails by the baseball fields
Beautiful softball/baseball field. Concession stand /restroom conveniently in the center of all three fields. One field is away from the others, but its still nice. They even have a playground for the younguns. Highly recommended!
I enjoyed the Disc Golf Course. Beautiful setting. What a joy to find in an urban setting.
A nice park with lots of athletic fields and tennis/pickle ball courts. Has a good disc golf course (for the area).
A wonderful manicured park with beautiful trails and well built amenities. The disc golf course is challenging and scenic albeit not well thought out. It is a wonderful place to take kids of all ages.
I love this park. It offers so much recreation . Kayaking, Hiking and biking trails, Horseback riding trails, Baseball fields, soccer fields, Hockey rink, Tennis courts. Plenty of public restrooms and soda vending machines as well and public picnic areas with tables under shelter. I love walking here at least twice a week and there is also plenty of wildlife to see!
I’m in from out of town visiting my parents. Brought my bike in hopes to find something decent to ride. This place is pretty neat . Nothing to exciting for intermediate or export riders . But an excellent ride to get in a good workout. They have done a great job on the trails .Trail work done by Airborne mtb crew. The park in general is very clean and well maintained!Only bad experience I had was an older man coming up behind me yelling and basically cutting me off the trail to stop me and cuss me out. I came into a turn fast and skidded through the berm so He had to cry and moan about it. He let me know that’s why they have to fix the trails so much. (More like Probably because they are made out of sand buddy)I struggle with a lot of health conditions and spend most of my life in and out of hospitals and specialist offices. It really must be nice to not have any real problems in life so all you worry about how people are riding trials you dig that are on State Park property! Ok, Paul Blart trail patrol .I’ve been digging trails in different states for 20 years. I’ve never worried about how people rode them unless they were purposely destroying something.Other than that it was a blast. I made a video of some of the trails and put it up on YouTube.Just Search on YouTube :( E bike ride in south florida)I wanted to make a nice donation to the Airborne trail crew since I rode it a bunch and I might be coming back and fourth a bit from Pa to Fl. But the encounter with that man put a sour taste in my mouth. Maybe I still will if I find out he’s not a big part of it. Don’t be a Jag
My name is BB and its my second time at the park and I aced hole number 6. Beautiful disc golf course and an incredible amount of fun
Love this park. Go for the disc golf course with they just added 8 more holes to make it a full 18 which is awesome. And the bike paths and nature trails seem pretty awesome.
Great location and use of space; there are many activities that can be conducted there. To point out a few different fields, there is indoor & outside soccer, baseball, or softball. There is a large centrally located concession building that host restrooms. Also, several pavilions to use, including a screened-in one, but remember to permit them. Some additional features are lighted tennis courts, frisbee golf, hiking trails, and my favorite mountain biking. Which is maintained by the same club that does Airborne in Ft Pierce. Be careful where you park and what you leave in your vehicle, there are limited security cameras.
Park was well kept and clean restrooms. Several fields were available for different activities.
Beautiful park with loads of trails and courts. Plus frisbee golf!
At 65 acres, Halpatiokee Regional Park is the largest park in Martin County. The park is well known for sports activities and it has soccer/football fields, tennis courts, softball/baseball fields, disc golf course, and an open air roller-hockey rink. The park also has picnic pavilions that can be reserved and a playground. The reason I love the park however is for the 500 acres of wetland preserve that surrounds the park. The park has 4 miles of river front on South Fork of the St. Lucie River so you can kayak. Ecosystems in the park include pine flatwoods, oak hammock, scrub and river land. These habitats provide protection for hundreds of species of native flora and fauna, including 13 species that are designated by the State of Florida as endangered or threatened. Going through the preserve is a mile long hiking trail built by Tropical Trekkers. The South Fork Nature Trail connects together two prior trails that the Tropical Trekkers built along the South Fork of the St. Lucie River. There is also a separate mountain bike trail built by the Airborne Mountain Bike Club. You can find the trailheads past all the ballfields, at the very back of the park where the park road ends. This week a cyclist was bitten by an alligator in the park after he fell off a bridge into the water. Unfortunately he landed next to what was likely a mother alligator protecting her nest. The cyclist is going to be okay and the nest and mother were relocated. The parks name, Halpatiokee is actually the Seminole Indian word meaning Alligator Water. Although alligator attacks are actually very rare in Florida it is best to stay out of the lakes and wetlands whenever possible. The bike paths in the park remain closed.
This park has it all! Aside from the sports venue and picnic pavilions we love to use the extensive trails along the river for hiking. There is access to hidden lakes where weve gone fishing and kayaking - peaceful, quiet, and serene. The mountain bike trails are FABULOUS. Almost 8 miles of trails with something for the beginner to expert. All of the trails are well marked and there is a handy map at the trailhead.
I love the disc golf course! They just completed the full 18 holes and it is awesome. The first 10 are relatively open and the last 8 and tight and in the woods. Great course.
I my opinion one of the best County parks. This park has a wide variety of activities to choose from. It is well kept and is an asset for the people.
Great park with tons of amenities. They have very nice pickleball courts and a nice frisbee golf course. I am an avid runner and they have very nice trails. Everytime I have been to this park I seen families and others enjoying the park in a friendly manner. I have not seen anything that would make me feel unsafe.
Great disc golf course. Very nice that they added another 8 holes to make it a true 18 hole course. Highly recommended 🤟
Friendly insects! Even friendlier alligators! Be careful out there!
Is a beautiful park. I love to go hiking with me dog Arya . She loves it . there are all kinds of trails and awesome nature sites. Many animals especially in the morning .
Very nice place but I must have missed some of those areas. Ive been there a number of times and have not come across any Bridges or scenery as shown in pictures. Well have to go again maybe I miss something it is an extremely nice place to walk though
Wonderful hiking trail, easy parking, dogs love it. They just completed a controlled burn and are in the middle of adding trails, so sunnier than usual. Set my record for most gopher tortoises on a single hike today.
Only got to see it by early am light and then I was doing a 5k race. But there are lots af facilities and looked like there were a lot locations to picnic. Lots of trails also
The Halpatiokee trail is a great place for adventure and a few obstacles made the bicycle experience more fun.
Wonderful place. Nice mix of paved trails and trails through the woods for bikes
Beautiful park. Softball fields, tennis courts, batting cages and frisbee golf.
Nice place to ride your bike or walk or have a picnic
Clean, quiet. Friendly
Rented the rink with my family and it was beyond fun!
This is a beautiful park with plenty to do. The frisbee golf is fun and the walking trails are scenic. Everything is well-maintained. Theres a covered playground with a nearby bathroom. Weve spotted several deer and a giant land turtle here.
Dog walkers, this is a place worth traveling to. Trails through the woods, pathways toward the water. Tortoises seen almost every trip. Ive seen frisbee golf here, mountain bike only trails, sports fields, and a skate park. If you are looking for a large, mosquito screened pavilion, there is that too. It would be large enough for a wedding party, quince, or church group.
One of the best parks I know of. The trails last for miles and miles. The bike paths are well maintained with signs giving you direction and experience level...follow all signs...the playground is fun for the kids with shade canopys up. Also fenced in areas for baseball, soccer, or allowing our dogs to run off some steam...ive spent hours with my family here and traveled miles thru its pathsWould easily give it 50 stars if possible.
Massive regional park located on Lost River Rd. Halpatiokee is full of marked hiking trails and biking trails and is an excellent place to take dogs for a long walk. Groundskeepers at the park are always friendly and keep the place very well maintained. Also located here are a handful or soccer fields, baseball fields, tennis courts, and even a playground for kids!
Great park all around. MTB trails have just had some neat upgrades.
This is a great park! Tennis courts, soccer fields, hockey rink, hiking and biking trails and playground. The playground is small but we love that is had shade now. I saw a lot of reviews that said things about a gift shop and renting a canoe or kayak which isnt true. There is a place but its up the road and not part of this Martin County park. But there are so many other things to do. We love to go on family hikes here. The trails are marked well and kids and adults have a great time.
Enjoyable outdoor experience just watch out for the alligators
A wonderful park for all to enjoy. It features a wide variety of recreational opportunities. Ball fields, batting cages, soccer fields, a covered roller blade hockey rink, tennis courts, pickle board courts, biking and hiking trails, canoe and kayak launch points, and - recently added - Disc Golf!! This is an amazing county resource.
Good disc golf course, plenty of other activities available.
Easy access. Benches, parking, covered picnic table, decent lake for fishing and bird watching. In an established neighborhood.
Great park with lots of biking trails and super tennis and pockleball courts.
Great courts and fields - tennis, pickleball, softball and soccer. Wooded single track MTB trail along with hiking trails along the St Lucie River. Playground right in the middle for great visibility. Lucky to have this park.
Beautiful park and a great place to host events, play soccer, baseball or just enjoy a walk.
The place is huge, plenty of soccer/futbol fields which mostly are empty, unless BASL is in session.
What a beautiful park! When you hike through, it feels like the world is normal again. Truly a magical place to escape!
The park has a huge area for sports, football, soccer, baseball and tennis. there is also a trail for Frisbee golf. There are walking and biking trails.
Nice 18 hole disc golf course.
Just sat and had a coffee and donut. Good place for a long walk. Pets permitted.
Beutiful park, I like the waterviews. Only thing I would say is dont go in with a car unless you want to get stuck. Only pickups and suvs.
Well kept ,everything works as it should, feel safe bring my son here.
Great MTB trail. New wood features being added.
Lots of biking trails. We mostly walked and that was nice also. Tennis courts. Baseball fields. Nice place to picnic
Great park for pickleball. 12 courts and usually great players there. Tuesday and Thursday evenings, as well as Saturday mornings attract top players.
The place was great. I was a nice place for my family and I to get away to spend some time together❤. I definitely recommend.
Probably my favorite park/athletic facility on the Treasure Coast. 7 clean soccer fields, 4 well-kept softball fields, tennis and pickle ball courts, walking and biking trails, an frisbee golf course, a lake for fishing, even a paved and covered roller rink.
They have tennis courts. Pickle ball courts, disc golf, Rollerblade rink and some great walking paths and bike paths. Also 2 kayak or canoe launch areas.
Good place to play hockey. Good mixture of various talent levels. Friendly atmosphere.
Other than accidentally entering the employees only entrance... We had a great time at Halpatiokee. The birding on the trails was pretty good (pileated & red-bellied woodpeckers), but nothing beat the soccer and baseball fields where we observed sandhill cranes, northern bobwhites, grackles, starlings, mockingbirds, and about a million ibises. The hiking trails were very well-maintained if imperfectly indicating distance. Our goal was to meander, and we hiked a good 2 miles. Well go back and explore more of the park soon.
I go here to play pickleball a few times per week. Nice trails too.
Great park! A playground, skate rink, kayak routes, hiking and biking trails. This park has everything and is hidden right off the main road and 95. Great place for all ages.
It can get busy but the trails are nice and shaded, though they need a little maintenance. The park is very big & you can bring your dogs!
Loved the open spaces and well maintained trails. The water was pretty and the trees kept it shady and managed the heat. The fields, courts and playgrounds are also well maintained. Overall, a terrific experience.
Great park. Lots if activities or just watch. Well cared for.
Great park with a lot of well maintained trailheads.
This is a beautiful park to walk and mountain bike. Theres lots of nature trails and lots of places to stop and have a picnic. We let the dogs roam off leash because we visited on a weekend but I would advise doing this with caution. Its nice being a male because I was able to pee freely on the trail, but my girlfriend wasnt so lucky. This was a nice place for me to try to spot an alligator in the river. Ill be back one day.
