Never visit or stay this dingy hotel or whatever. My salutes to the manager there who facilitated my stay there in a deluxe room, otherwise I wouldnt have.Zero service, Zero hygiene, elevator non-functional.A big blot on J&K TDC. In- effecient corporation and the authorities that be.

We booked 3 super deluxe rooms at hotel Heemal Srinagar for 2 days stay. We were on tour with family accompanying with my mother in law, a senior citizen having some knee problems. Before coming I enquired about location, rooms etc telephonically from hotel. They informed that our rooms are on fourth floor and “ Elevator is out of order” from last many days and we have to use stairs. I told them our problem about mother in law and requested for some arrangement at lower floors. Front office incharge Mr Malik Sultan assured me for help whatsoever they may do. I was in doubt and decided to cancel my booking. I contacted JKTDC TRC, where Mr Khurshid Ahmad took notice on my issue and after enquiring from hotel they call me back and assured for the best possible services they may provide and advised to continue my booking. We proceed on our journey as scheduled and Mr Malik helped us by changing our rooms at first floor and they provided us one Presidential suite and one Deluxe suite considering our genuine problem.Our two days stay at hotel Heemal really become an unforgettable experience and all family members are very much happy with such a hospitality and services they provided us specially Mr Ghulam Naik was on a call to serve.Location of property is best, view is superb and food is like as of home.Thanks a lot JKTDC for making our trip memorable.

This hotel comes under JKTDC. Very good facility. Spacious rooms overlooking Dal lake. Sitting in gallery of your room, you can have a leisurely view of the hustle and bustle around Dal lake. Room service is prompt. Facilities are good, especially hot water is available in taps on demand. You realise its importance on cold nights. Cafe serves breakfast piping hot. And has quite a variety on its menu.

Awesome location. Dal lake is visible from each room. Good quality food. Staff behabior is excellent.

I went in the month of March. The rooms are clean, cozy, but no view. There are many shops for buying kashmiri garments below the hotel. Also the only liquor shop in Srinagar is at this hotel. The food is decent, nothing fantastic. Once you come out of the hotel, u see the Dal Lake on the other side of the road.

The hotel is at a very beautiful location . everything about this hotel is good but its a government hotel rest you can imagine about the service and cleanliness yourself ..but still a good hotel .mostly given to secreterate employees.

We went in July 2015. At that time hotel was under bad shape and was also under renovation. Overall experience was bad as even lift was not working.

I visited this hotel around Nov second week and stayed for 10 days. JnK tourism had charged me full payment for the stay. ₹6000 per day, all other hotels near this property were charging ₹3000. Winter discount of 50%. But this being a govt hotel, will always try to pocket maximum without any care for the tourists. Facilities are quiet poor. No drinking water in the room and no soap or toileteries at this rate. All other hotels provide those facilities at half rate. Rooms are average. Biggest negative point is, the staff always demand below the table money from you. For a service done, they keep pestering for money. The person in the Reception tops this scam. Demanded me money as Bakshis for Diwali. Govt Scamsters.Manager askd me to call the MD for winter discount as I travelled after 1 Nov. But MD promised good discount, but never gave me anything. Typical Goverment mentality. I have rated this hotel 1 star because there is no provision for 0 star.My biggest mistake.. visited Jannat but stayed in not so Jannat..Tourists pls dont prefer this hotel. They r all abt money with zero service. There r better and best hotels bear this place....

Most terrible hotel ever. Never go this hotel. We went first diffrent hotel but it was not clean so we decided to go Heemal hotel and ask the price. We were looking some where nice and luxery. There was a guy sitting behind the desk ( older 50-55) and we said Hello!He said : what do you want? (with very rude voice )My husband very kindly ask him - Do you have avalible room?he said very rude again: we are full, no room! still he was very rudeThis season empty, not busy season and he just didnt want to give us a room. He lied to us and he knew we knew he was lying. So allready saw the place very low budget not for us. also i read the rewievs and every one say dont go this hotelthis was our story. now we are in very beuatiful and clean hotel.My advice this hotel owner very very rude dont even think to go there
