The portion is big! I ordered chasiu ramen (pork) and it has like around six slices of pork belly. We also ordered gyoza but it was too oily. Quite packed on weekend (we had to wait for about one hour when we arrived at 7PM). The minus point for me is because they allow smoking inside the restaurant.
As soon as you enter you are greeted with a cheering roar of makasih from all the staffs. But when you leave, trust me, you will be the one saying makasih. As you are seated you are treated to a cold towelette so you can dry the brow of your forehead, and refresh after a hot day of the Jakarta sun. The towellete is like taking a Swedish ice bath, with a large man named Lars caressing your forehead ever so gingerly.I highly suggest the chicken karage. The skin is crispy and served piping hot. As it hits your tongue there is a small sizzle, followed by a delictable crunch as you bite down. Just perfect! The ramen is the piece de resistance, as the French would say. The noodles are just the rite size and very fresh. The broth is so rich with a strong hint of garlic. Ask for it creamy if you like. I didnt, I had mine with the delicious pork juices flavouring the broth. It truly is the best ramen I have ever had.
I ordered Echiran ramen with separate sauce. Actually the sauce should be in the top of the ramen, but I request to separate it since I want to taste the original pork broth. The broth was amazing! It served with a large bowl and a lot of broth and you can taste the pork 🤩 The pork meat also big enough. It comes with 2 slices of pork meat.If you love and want to taste the OG, ask to separate it. If you feel it like tasteless, then I suggest you to add the sauce gradually.
I ordered jakarta ramen and ichiran. If you are looking for thick broth go for ichrian, the taste is good. Jakarta ramen is so so, too salty for me. Pork inside the ramen is great, it melts in your mouth. Gyoza it will be better if grilled on both side. Place is not confy, its a bit smelly due to you can smoke inside. Overall just go for ichiran in this place
My recent favourite ramen place in the area. Their signature Echiran ramen is definitely blew any other ramen place I’ve been to. The only downside is you need to pay extra to request soft boiled egg. But overall, great food, great ambience, great staff!
Monas Ramen of Jiro Ramen. Excellent oishi. Take away during pandemic. They give tons of moyashi tauge. They initially put the noodle n soup in same container and noodle became soggy. I went back to ask for noodle replacement, they immediately replaced it with fresh noodle. Superb service as you would expect from Japanese establishment.
Allowing smoking in a restaurant is simply the best indicator that the owner doesnt care about what you taste...Fail; no matter how good the Ramen is
You should try MONAS ramen which is quite similar to Japanese famous Jiro style ramen, tons of boiled veggies (sprouts, cabbages), with Chashu Pork (Marinated Braised Pork Belly for Tonkotsu Ramen). But what really makes this restaurant different from others is, you could drink beer from the 11:30 in the morning at the weekend by the way, for me personally...
Going here at Friday night not to crowded at 8/9pm smoking with ac room, V V GOOD SERVICE! THEYRE FAST! this a v ++ point, Buy a tori echiran worth to buy if someone looking for a lil sour taste with a 🐔, gekikara for someone who pref a spicy one lv 2 not so so spicy, better choose another level, and gyoza i order 2x 1 for dine in and 1 for take away, but lil unexpected bcs theres a lil bit different Taste bcs the one that i take away MORE SOUR than dine in one 😥 i reply order bcs i was expecting like what i eat , maybe can make sure the recipe again for the gyoza, that literally v v sour than i eat at the place 👌🏻 but overall So good i will recommend this for someone who really like ramen 9,5/10 ✌🏻
Alas, a fine dining ramen which had a delicious and umami ramen in Melawai area. Good vibes. Friendly staff. Nice place to lunch.
I was planning to eat at Kashiwa but the waiting list has ended due to overcrowding. So I heard that the ramen shop next to kashiwa is also tasty (turn out under the same management as Kashiwa). I ordered Toripaitan Ramen and as you can see how delicious it is. I like it tho. The broth is light and not too creamy. The ramen (best part) itself is so tasty and yummy, not too overcooked. I think this is one of most authentic ramen places you can find in Jkt. Oh I ordered gyoza too and soo mouthwatering🤤
Jakarta ramen is the best menu for main course. They have recommended some, you may asked waitress directly
Pros : The tonkotsu ramen soup has lighter taste than other ramen shop, what makes it a plus is it mixed with ginger and fried garlic. The noodle itself also had good texture.Charsiu and Gyoza was okay.Cons: possibly the worst ramen egg i ever had, it was a hard boiled egg... I always love a runny egg yolk for my ramen. And the ocha was way too watered down, barely taste any ocha.Final verdict : i put high expectation considering this ramen shop is located in japanese restaurant area and was high praised for its authenticity, so i was dissapointed. Perhaps food quality was better before pandemic.
Usually eats at the izakaya above this ramen shop and have been wanting to try the ramen here. There was no queue, the tamen portion is literally huge with standard pricing, the appetizers were delicious and lots of Japanese came in groups, which brings a nice Japanese restaurant atmosphere and surely a good sign for Japanese restaurants. For all the positives there were setbacks for me, the menu was brought to us after around 10 minutes, they didnt give us the wet towel as maybe we are not Japanese even though I have asked after my food already arrived, they only one piece of meat/chicken in a bowl and the Negi Ramen I ordered didnt give me an impression its worth for a second visit as the broth left a little to be desired. Maybe their speciality is in the Tonkotsu Ramen -my friend had a good time with it. Overall it should still be a nice visit if the waitress showed some hospitality, sadly that wasnt the case.
I ordered pork ramen and gyoza. It is good for those look for pork in their ramen. The ramen itself is tasty. Price wise a little overpriced, considering the size we get.Gyoza is actually good but too oily for me (personal preference).Location is inside Blok M Square complex. It can be crowded sometimes. It is not family (with kids) friendly because they allow people to smoke inside (all close area). It also felt so hot inside
I love everything about this place. The place was located in Blok Ms Little Tokyo, so it has Japanese aesthetic along the road. Even though it is a small place, for me its comfortable to have a nice dinner with your SO and have a nice chit chat. Came here for a dinner, no waiting list. We ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen. Best ramen I tasted so far! The broth was tasty, I dont even realize I drank all of it from my bowl. The noodle was soft and tender, as you can see they made it by themselves. The price was reasonable for a bowl of ramen with Japanese authentic taste. They also serve other menus like Donburis, Yakitoris, Gyoza and other Japanese dish. Definitely recommend this place for ramen lovers.
ONE OF MY FAVORITE RAMEN IN TOWN. I ordered a tonkotsu ramen with a dash of japanese sambal. The broth is otherworldly 😭😭😭 i cant stress this enough but the broth is that good. Warmth goodness that will fill u up in no time. OH AND THE TONKOTSU PIECE IN THE RAMEN YESSSS THE BEST EVERYWHERE.
Authentic japanese ramen, very tasty and recommended! However no free refill ocha and they allow smoking inside
Ah, one of the best authentic Japanese ramen restaurant in Jakarta. Previously, I have no intention to eat here. I came here with my girlfriend because Kashiwa is full 😅I took Echigoya a try. The design of the place is similar to Kashiwa, maybe because they were on the same group (theyre on the same building though, Echigoya is located below Kashiwa). Put it simply, its quite cozy.I tried the Echigoya Ramen and it tastes so good. There were corns, cabbages, mushrooms, carrots, and chicken fillet in it (no, I dont eat pork). This is the kind of ramen that I wont add any additional spices (like most of Indonesians who love spicy food). The broth is quite light, and tastes very delicious. For you who expect a large bowl of ramen, this is the right place. Somehow their portions of food is quite large (and I love it!) For my drink, I chose the simplistic cold ocha because its the perfect companion for ramen (well, maybe the Japanese will choose beer instead). All in all, its a you-must-try place. I just hate the fact that they dont have a special room for smokers (not because Im a smoker, but I was annoyed by the smokes).
A great sort-of-hidden spot for a meal. Walking around outside there are no visible sign of the store or anything (there were one in Japanese but since I cant read it Im not entirely sure).Anyway from the outside it doesnt look much but once inside the place is pretty sizable and comfortable. The menu as a pretty wide but consistent range, regular Japanese cuisine. The prices are fair, but considering the portion of the ramen I ordered, I can day its cheaper than other place in comparison. The ramen noodle is normal, not notable exceptional but wasnt bad either. Instead, the miso broth is the star here. Out of all the Miso ramen Ive tried, the one here in Echigoya is easily one of the best. The service in the store is also great. The waiters are polite and concise, the food comes quite quickly even though it was relatively crowded when I came.My meal came down to around 130k if I remember correctly, but thats partially due to the beer which costs like 40k.
I think the taste was the best.. I ordered ramen with pork and gyoza, i forgot what the ramens name.. I went there with my friends, he is from Japan. He told me, the taste about this restaurant closest from restaurant in Japan. Because, the owner and chef originally come from Japan..After that, the restaurant is small, the noddle very fresh (if you enter the resto, there is noodles machine on the right side..).. you will be try !
Great original ramen. The soup is so delicate. The ambient is a lil bit old fashioned
I love it! Anticipate the crowd when after office hour
Favorite Ramen restaurant in Jakarta. I can recommend the cyasumen if you eat pork, and gyoza. They have a non pork menu too. Come earlier if you can, it gets crowded later at night.
Tried tonkotsu ramen and echigoya (cmiiw) ramen. Both are really good and have big portion (I added goma also). Tonkotsu one is lighter tasted and echigoya is thicker tasted. Also ordered potato cheese age and tori karaage as side dish. Freshly fried, also really good with delicious sauce
The ramen is delicious, you must be full if you eat here. The noodle made by themselves and the Japanese atmosphere is very thick. Many japanese workers come here when i visited this place. Compared to the others ramen that I ever ate, this is the best.
Love their Ramen
An authentic Japanese ramen noodles, worth to try. I tried Jakarta Ramen with shoyu soup and pork meat that was so good at IDR 88,000 (approx. $6-7) for quite big portion of ramen. They provide many side dishes, Gyoza and Takoyaki was good as well. The place is quite small but the ambiance was similar to ramen shops in Japan.
The price is good. I think this restaurant should work on something in the broth. Like when you sip the broth on a second you might think Ah, almost there.Gyoza was fine but not that extraordinary. In addition, the eggs in my ramen is overcooked. Definitely not the kind of eggs that I expected in my bowl of ramen (and very much different from the photo in the menu) AND not to mention unfriendly waiter 🙄. Rest in peace hospitality.
Good place & nice foods
Dear, Echigoya.I love you and thank you.
The bestest place for ramen and spicy kimchi rice. Again and again.
Really love this, remind you on eating Ramen in Japanese, the ambiance, the Japanese people who dine in, and especially the food. And the toilet is really clean.Good price and enough portion to make you full.Very authentic!!! Definetly one of my favorite Japanese restaurant. But if you bring kids, the citiwalk (sudirman) branch is preferable since in here people can smoke.
Japanese style ramen. Thick oily and so much seasoning. Indonesian prefer ramen to sushi(they like high carbon junk!!) Consequently You can use here for dating but ... Here is center of karaoke, tanning into so much couples with japanese sugar daddy and b..chest here.
I dont eat ramen much, but that was Prilly one of the best one. Forgot what i had, was very savoury. Noodles were chewy and soft
Had ramen and a couple side dishes here. The ramen portion is generous and the soup base is exceeding my expectation which is savourily good. Meanwhile for side dish, tried takoyaki which I think the taste is a bit bland and the filling not as generous as ramen, sadly; but the gyoza is very mouthful and juicy. Might go her again to try out other dishes.
This ramen place located below Kashiwa in case you wondering where is it. The taste is authenticly delicious, you can taste the rich broth and the pork is thick. But the tamago in the ramen is not an ajitsuke tamago, the ajitsuke tamago is additional, it is well-marinated tho. Unfortunately we came during busy lunch time, so the servings took about 25 minutes. Beside that, it was a pleasant experience and price wise it is worthy.
A dangerously broken glass (see pic), a price of 123k after taxes for a bowl of noodle with two ridiculous pieces of meat, a small bintang and a small bottle of water... Service was ok and it is open late at night ... Ok If you stay in the area and are not difficult but definitely no point travel to eat there.
The Ramen Broth is nice, but overall it was 4/5, the Gyoza however it explodes on your mouth the instant you ate it 5/5.
One of the best authenthic japanase restaurant located in melawai, blok m jakarta. They have a menu named echigoya set where you get 1 ramen, 1 mini dish (curry rice or fried rice), 2 karage, and 1 salad with the price around 80k -90k rupiah with one drinks. Been a regular to this for about 6-7 years, the taste never change.. Its always delicious. Kudos to this place 👌
Nice place. Ramen
Authentic ramen shop! The echigoya set is very worth it at around 80k IDR including tax. Light yet flavorful miso ramen, mini chahan, a side dish that varies according to what day is it and a simple salad. The gyoza is nice too. Place is full of Japanese natives, including some of the chefs. Would definitely recommend.
Good places to eat ramen, money well spent
Benchmark of a safe ramen for me. The joint complements my daily activity location wise. Prices are quite steep but understandable. Quick service, and perfect for a grab n go meal.
Affordable ramen the taste is an average. Atmoshpere quite good. Customer come for lunch or dinner
Echigoya is still my go to ramen place. Ive already tasted almost every variant and theyre all good. Their price is not that expensive considering the portion is actually quite large too. The place itself is comfy as well. Ive seen so many Japanese eating here
Too salty...undercooked noodles.....bland chasu .... not clean. Disappointed totally
Really like their ramen, the broth was very rich!
Really delicious Japanese ramen. Totally love it. Super good. Not as expensive as I thought will be. Super recommended.
Ramen is good but its a SHAME they allow people to smoke. In this age, you should not allow smoking in public places like an indoor restaurant because NOT EVERYONE smoke. But this is Jakarta and they have to smoke to cope with their miseries of life..or just a bad habit? You decide. Anyway, ramen is good and staff is friendly.
Echigoya offers authentic taste of the Ramen and provide authentic taste of the ambiance.
Ramen was good.
I think this is one of Ramen in Jakarta that really meet the taste like Ramen in Japan. Located in the heart of Blok M. Coming here at night you will find a bunch of Japanese having their night drink beer or sake and talk alot
Always been good and delicious.. Reasonable price compared to quality given.. But the waitress productivity could be pumped up more..
Far too bigger bowls, a young people hang out. Nothing far too special. Air conditioned room with people smoking in it. Ohh no.. a not my to go 😑
Ordered Jakarta Pork Ramen. Not the best pork ramen I ever had.The soup taste was too thin. This place has a good atmosphere and strong japanese vibe.Price is high.
The place is small yet cozy and this is my first having dinner here, recommendation from a dear friend~ I love the taste of the Ramen, really great and tasty!
Best Tonkotsu Ramen by far! Very delicious 😁👍🏻
The broth was great and authentic. Gyoza also freshly made. However the the topping were so small, and the egg wasnt onsen cooked (just regular boiled egg). You can order onsen egg as additional.
Home made ramen. Authentic taste, could be a bit hard for local taste
The tanmen is nice, not the best but nice coz its full chock of veggies and the broth is medium not too thick.the bad side is, the waitress is maybe unorganized? a Japanese guy came 20 minutes after i sit, and the waitress gave him the ramen first, and he basically left when i had mine served.... had to wait over 30 min just for a ramen which was supposed to be quick food.....all in all, the waitresss service is enough to eclipse the taste of ramen for me. wont be going back anytime soon.
Just another ramen place in the heart of Little Tokyo Blok M, though i dare say its one of the delicious one for my taste. This place looks small from the outside, and they dont put a blink blink signage outside, unlike similar outlets around. They serve pork so this place is definitely not halal.Besides ramen they also serve ala carte menu like gyoza, katsu, tamagoyaki etc. Priceworthy, less than 100k for a bowl of ramen.
Been here several times, always packed with customers, mostly Japanese expat. Food ia just OK. But I suppose, taste is very personal and I think I prefer richer flavor 😁 service need improvement, staff seems overwhelmed during peak hour, but they have so many staff yet not so many tables 😅 btw, not family friendly, smoking zone ☠️Just tried their Tonkotsu Ramen, although the topping is smaller than other ramen place, their soup is very good
I tried Jakarta Pork Ramen and it was satisfying, the noodles was springy and tender, the broth was thick & delicious. My gyoza turned out better than I expected. Unfortunately the waiter forget to give me the nori for my ramen, they never realise it until I asked them, which after my ramen was finished.
They have an aunthentic and most delicious ramen, complete with original Japanese vibes.
