Fantastic place to park your personal vehicle

Parking at sonpryag is for people who are travelling to Kedarnath although you can take your vehicle upto Gaurikund but if the parking is full at Gaurikund then the local police wont let you take your car further . The parking is very big and is safe . The administration take INR 120 for 24 hours(till 2020) but you can do some bargain there

Its good but still not complete so always put your car in corner so that you can easily get your way.. for motorcycle it is advised to put your bike with safety because there is still no covering on the top. Although it is big and your vehicles are safe there but the chances of tyre penchure is there.if there is no space cars parked on the main road which is not safe

The arrangement of the vehicles could be much better than what it is now.

Huge parking space. The small shop inside the premises makes nice aloo paratha but eat only when they make it hot. Their tea is not so good so advise tea making if you want it in a particular way.Parking charge is 120 Rs for 24 hours.. car stays safe inside. Its a big parking lot. Police is on duty just outside. Leave all your unwanted belongings in your car before you start to walk up to Kedarnath temple so you dont carry extra weight. A raincoat or umbrella is necessary and can be bought from market just outside if you havent brought it with you.Have a good trip.

Space is sufficient to park your vehicles anytime . I guess the parking capacity is 2000 cars or more . You can park your vehicle here if you are going to trek kedarnath dham . Your vehicle will be safe as it is operated by private organisation . They charge somewhere around 30-50 rupees per day .

Its a very poor place.Negligence by the government and maintaining authorities.No proper plain floor for parkingNo shades, no treesNo basic facilities (like toilets, drinking water etc.)Lot, a lot of dust, pollution everywhereNot safe, poor securityPoor infrastructure or actually no infrastructure.Roads outside are very narrow and overly congested.This is a condition of a place where people use to stay to start their journey to most religious Shivji Temple (Shree Kedarnath ji)Shame on authorities and government for negligence and not doing their work.

The starting point of Kedarnath dham darshan... The real trekking starts from Gaurikund, but to reach there you have to take government taxis from here and theres a real wait and long queues... The last ATM of the tour to Kedarnath is at this place... So filling your wallets here is the first thing to do as their is no online payment facilities from this point onwards... Sangam of Basuki and Mandakini rivers so its called prayag... Terrific and spectacular views of Mandakini...

120 for 24 hrs. Park here as Private cars are not allowed till Gaurikund during peak darshan season. Sharing cabs are easily available for travel to Gaurikund from here.
