Nice place near kedarnath road

Sonprayag is a village in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand state in India. Situated on the banks of river Mandakini River, it is a proposed Y-forked railway junction on Chota Char Dham Railway for two different railways going to Kedarnath and Badrinath.

Amazing place for trip and you will enjoy this place

Its a long journey from Delhi to Sonprayag. It took us 18 hours from bus to reach this beautiful place. Hotels here are not so expensive if you have some negotiation skills, or else they will ask you high prices.. I would recommend you to go Gaurikund if you have reached Sonprayag by 6-7 PM. There, you will get plenty of options and good deals at cheaper prices. From Gaurikund you can start your trekking early in the morning to reach Shree Kedarnath ji Temple.

Excellent place on the route of Sri Kedarnath. Here you can get some hotel and restaurant for staying night.

As per my understanding All hotel and resort are not bad. May be it seems might costly as compared to other religious place.Reason behind ,Kedarnath temple is open for six month in a year for devotees after that resources not used by any one..

Best option in Sonprayag. Nice rooms with clean washrooms. Other hotels in the city are not good

Sonprayag will be the last point where one can take his car or bike. From here on u can rent a taxi to Gaurikund which is another 10 minutes from sonprayag.

Worst Worst worstThey charge too much.Above all they will not provide you room if you dont pay them in cash.They asked for 4000 the room, but they were not willing to take 3000 in cash and 1000 online payment. In situations like -2 degree Celsius they asked us to vacate the room at 10:30PM.Just for 1000 rupees how can someone go to extent.Beware dont forget to take cash along with you if you havent booked your hotel or room in GMVN.

Dev bhoomi,kedarnath way bike and cars are not allowed beyond this place for visiting kedarnath.

Do not expect a 3* accommodation. For spending a night or two this place is fine.Spend 50 bucks to get hot water by one of the employees there.Meals can be ordered and custom dishes can me also made for you if you talk softly and shell out some tips for people.Guys are generally happy serving you.

Value for money dormitory. It is recommended to book all GMVN accommodations in advance.

Basic lodging but better than the hotels around. You can get both dormitory and cabins.

Bad owner rude behaviour no security, check out time is 12 p.m. but he will forcefully through you outside at 9 am

The dormitory block is like a godown and its quite haunting for solo to roam around in midnight if required to walk outside.water they supply tastes good,but no proper housekeeping.no gyser.the blankets are quite old and need a dry clean.shortcut is through houses after somany turnings from bus stand.but the road is very long to reach the same.nearby SBI ATM available.inside food available at a reasonable price.

Facilities are not as per the charges.They are charged high but services are very poor and not up to the mark.Total waste of money.

Its is situated near to Sitapur on Sonprayag highway. Parking space are very less. Its near to Mandakini River or edge of the river. Manager are not good and hospitality not upto marks. Food quality are average. You can get variety of food here at nominal charges. Cleaning not upto marks.
