The ICAR-National Research Centre on Pomegranate, Solapur (Maharashtra), was established on June 16, 2005 by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi, as a step to strengthen research and development infrastructure for pomegranate crop. Though Universities and institutes all over the world are having research programmes on pomegranate, this is the only institution working solely on pomegranate. The centre was established to fulfill the growing demand for pomegranate both in domestic and export market through tapping the immense production potential prevailing in the country.

Good but One request we seen many colors fruits like red yellow and black others there for I want black pomo it helps more and more to farmers. Please research black color pomo.

What a beautiful building and premises! 🤩 Pomegranate Research Center Farmers can visit and get information about Pomegranate. The only regret is that even though this center is in Maharashtra, the main board of this office is not in Marathi language. Even so, owning one is still beyond the reach of the average person. Soon it will be published in Marathi language.

Does NRCP also have its own nursery from where we can get 100-200 Solapur red pomegranate saplings or can anyone tell that ICAR Delhi m mil sakte h kya Solapur red variety k plants.
