Spent two weeks in this awesome property, superb property with the real vibe of home. Rakesh cooks amazing food & Prabha ensures other chorus to keep spirits high. Mallika is a superb host who let you treat her house as your own house expecting due respect to the house and staff. House is equipped with two superfast fibre internet connections with even 5 zoom calls going with ease.Kids had special fun spending time with Rakesh & his 2 kids, Prabhas son Aryan and a well behaved little cat who keeps visiting the lawns checking on foods and opportunity for kids to invite her to play with them.Linen is clean like home. Do not expect most upgraded fancy furniture but absolute perfect for a homestay.

We were 2 couples and a baby. The rooms very big and nice. Very clean. Staff was courteous. Owner directed us over the phone. Food was very good. It’s a nice place to chill out with friends and child friendly too. We will visit again and recommend to anyone travelling to Solan. Thank you.

We stayed here for approximately two months and there was never a dull moment.The property is beautiful and well maintained. It has some amazing views. Infact the property has such a positive vibe that you immediately feel at home. The owner of the property is a gem of a person.Now talking about the staff, the staff at 20 Deodar namely Rakesh, Prabha and Topo are not only highly competent but are also very efficient and caring. They are very service oriented and will go out of the way to make your stay comfortable.The only downside is that since all the three are great cooks you will end up gaining few kilos during your stay. 🤪We highly recommend stay at 20 Deodar House to fellow travellers.

If you dream of a home amongst the mountains surrounded by greenery and silence, then this is it. It is such a beautiful and tastefully decorated bungalow nestled amongst the rolling hills with all the modern amenities, where you will come to realize that this is the type of home you always dreamt of. The terrace and beautiful lawn provide magnificent vistas. The services and home cooked food provided by the energetic team of Jain and Rakesh is impeccable and marvelous. One small improvement required is the quality of beds, which could be made more comfortable. But such small imperfections gives it a homely touch. Spending 3 days here with our family was sheer bliss!

This review is almost a year late! Only because we were a large group and thought one of us must have written one. The property is pretty with large comfortable rooms. Very clean. Nice lawn where we had a bonfire every evening. It is a quiet residential street cut off from the main road (around 500 m), there were no autos etc to be found easily. There are no walks or woods close to the property. We took an auto from the main road to the starting point of the Karol Ka Tibba trek which is quite challenging & relentlessly uphill with decent views. Coming back to the property- the staff are lovely- Rakesh is quiet, efficient and extremely helpful. They had a lovely lady cook too and the food was customised, fresh, homely and delicious. The cooks little boy Aryan was the perfect playmate for my child and they had a ball! Mallika the owner doesnt live there but was always at hand to help. Mallika went out of her way to help with transport arrangements. There was also a bottle of wine to welcome us on arrival! Small suggestions, it would have been handy to have access to a cupboard (room had one but it was locked) especially for longer stays. Also, a kettle in the room will be a nice addition. All in all, a wonderful stay in a home-like environment. Lovely staff and owner made all the difference.
