We have entered the temple near the closing time, around 1 pm. Still, the staff were courteous and waited till we visited the கைலாயம் hills and worshipped Lord சட்டநாதர். In fact they encouraged my wife also to climb the steps, less than 100 nos and have Kailash Darshan. Thanks to the staff.The temple is also neat and clean. Thanks to the ஆதீனம் admn.

One of oldest temple in India. Temple still has not improved and could not draw in crowds which it truly deserves. Beautifully huge temple and sadly hasn’t reached out the people as it should be. Nevertheless, please visit this temple without fail. It is pure divine and blessing to be here. Friday’s night special Pooja at midnight 12.00 AM is special here.

Bhramapureeswarar shrine is housed in the lower level. The second level houses Periyanakar with Periyanayaki on a Thoni, hence the name Thoniappar. Sattainathar/Vatukanathar is also housed here. There are 22 water bodies associated with this shrine. Three different forms of Shiva are worshipped here, the Shivalingam (Bhrammapureeswarar), a colossal image of Uma Maheswarar (Toniappar) at the medium level, and Bhairavar (Sattanathar) at the upper level. The temple is associated with the legend of child Sambandar who is believed to have been fed by Parvathi on the banks of the temple tank. The child later went on to compose Tevaram, a Saiva canonic literature on Shiva and became one of the most revered Saiva poets in South India.but temple need maintenance and painting inside gopuram.

This is a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva also known as Brahmapureeshwarar and is located in Sirkazhi, Tamil Nadu. It is a very old temple. Lord Brahma is said to have worshipped Lord Shiva at this place hence the name Brahmapureeshwarar. Also a nayanar Shaivaite known by the name Thirugnanasambhandar during his infancy is said to have been fed with knowledge milk by Devi Parvati at this place and he gained wisdom and wrote Tevaram information about the Lord Shiva. He is regarded as one of the famous poets. Very good place to visit.

A ten-day festival is organized relating to this incident.The temple is very large, if you walk around the temple just once, you need not to go for walking separately. Drinking water facility is available inside temple.A Serene place for worship; Lord shiva is in Linga form in the ground floor (yes, this temple has two floors that devotees can visit); in the first floor, Lord shiva is in standing form. You have to buy a separate entrance ticket(Rs.5 per head) to climb up and see the lord Shiva.Same timing followed in all other temples is followed here also. (6-12p.m. open then 4-10p.m open)A good temple (ancient historical place) that everyone must visit.

Very old temple Moolar was closed when we arrived at 1.00 PM, neat pond and Ambal is located outside the main pragaram. There is also a separate temple for thirugnanasambanthar is situated here. Timings are 7.00 to 1.00 and 4.00 to 9.00.There is a garden with plant n trees planted as per the navagaras and also for each star.

This is the first time visited this temple. Good place, have to spend time to know fully about this temple.

Do not waste time reaching them through call. No proper response.To enter the bairavar sanathi, men should remove their shirt and women are not allowed to keep flower in your head.No extra money offerings are accepted. You can get flowers if you wish.

Five star rate for temples built by cholas, lots of positive energy exist in this place, Astha Bhairavar is there which is opened only on Fridays and Asthami, A three layer temple which is not found anywhere, down bhrmapureeswara, first floor Dhoniappar,, and second floor sathanadhar. Thirunanasambandar was born in this place, Amman pravathidevi is believed given milk to this little boy. Unfortunately this place is not maintained well, and lot of people come to Thirunanasambandar sanathi for relaxing purpose, this temple adniman is sleeping I think, better they can give to some good trust, so that they will handle it in better way.

This is a very underrated temple in Tamil Nadu. There is lot of history and mythology linked to this temple. The Thoniappar sannidhi, in the vimanam of the main temple, is a sight to behold. Rarely do we get to see Shivan in a non-lingam form and the sheer scale of the vigraham is mind blowing. The sattainathar sannidhi in the next floor of the vimanam is also awesome.

It was here Goddess Parvathi Devi gave Gnana Paal to the crying young child Gnanasambandar. And the divine chld Gnanasambandar sang in praise of Lord and Devi in reply to his father. Very large temple complex with wonderful architecture with a large Temple Pond. Remembering our childhood days when we went with our grandfather listening to his stories and explanations in this temple. Nostalgic memories indeed. Glad to share few pictures taken here.
