You get bus for North Goa very cheap rates, Dont go for taxis , its very costly If you are budget friendly you get buses more frequently, and available in 100 meter walk

Its very clean and neat railway station. Good think about here is nice sanitation cleaning and RO water facilities which worked on rain water conservation mechanisms. It have only 2 platform with old model whiteboard train status notice board.

Good station, near to North Goa.Dont taketaxi near the Station going littell far from the railway station and take very cheapest taxi.

Overall its a village station. Goa doesnt have much railway station. After margao this is the most busiest station. Reason its only 25km from Panjim calngut only 15 km better if you coming to north goa.. if want to go south then choose margao station.They dont have stairs only one sleepy road to cross junction. Very less eating option ..Yedi persons will ask you so much then you think but its all almost fix rate they will not do any discount .. all have unity no one will share you less price. For local outside there is a parking stand where u can park ur car in 50rs per day and two wheeler in 25rs per day.Parking my experience was good.Also in station dont have any screen also very less staff so its better you can check your al information on proir then arrivals.

Worst train station i have never see in this world,i am waiting more than 1 hour for take only one ticket,only one ticket counter available that person also very slow booking,fully disappointed

Small station. But clean and very close to Calangute(North Goa). Just 20 minutes drive. Most of the trains stop here. Aguada fort and the beaches in Calangute are close to the station. Taxis and autos are available round the clock

If you want to visit North Goa, this is the railway station where you have to de-board.The prepaid taxis outside station will charge you a huge amount. Just walk 2 mins from the station towards the main road. There are bus services which will charge just 20Rs while the taxis cost 600Rs.

Looks like with all the attention of our govt. to improve services and infrastructure of railway stations in Goa , it’s in dilapidated condition the Thivim railway station.My train Netravati express tonight at 21.42 hrs departure has not arrived till now 10.43 pm .The pathetic service of station management:-1. No announcement since the time I reached the station at 21.26.2.Cleanliness is as bad as any garbage dump- platform no.2.3. It hot weather , all passengers including myself sweating but fans are switched off . No one to check.4 . Once again , why is no status shared with passengers ? Dear concerned pls reply. Action.

Visited many times since 2016.Most tourists intending to visit north Goa get off here, so this is the sort of gateway station to north Goa. Its a small station nothing much to write about, its neither good nor bad, LOL. Its always been clean though. Taxi stand is right outside, buses stop on the main road about 300 mts away. Has a small stall on each platform. No stalls or hawkers outside the station.Like many stations on the Konkan Railway this station has been cut thru a hillock. See attached pics.

Major station to most popular north goa beaches. There is a govt rate taxi counter available outside from 8 am onwards. Couple of basic food stalls. One expression biryani stall. 2 platforms. Basic toilet. Old worn out waiting room. Beautifull in rains.

Average clean, could be more cleaner. But the environment here during rainy season is really great. Lots of greenary and there is a overhead Canal bridge nearby for the explorer inside you😉.

Clean & hygiene, cold water dispensers installed , men - women waiting room, few snacks stalls, new biryani stall opened.If u wanna go to beaches, this is the station u should get down at. Cabs over here are very expensive, from Thivim to Baga/Calangute charges would be ₹650/700. So walk for a minute come on d road & take bus till Mapusa. Well it’s not advisable when u have family, more luggage with u

Only railway station in north Goa. If you are coming from North of Goa state ( Maharashtra and above) this would be the station to get down if you plan to explore Northern part of Goa- Calungute, Baga, Mapusa, Mandrem, Ashwem etc.Platform premise have a few eateries. Just outside the station, you will find pre-paid taxi counter. Goa follows standard taxi rates everywhere and is costly if you are travelling alone or in a group of 2-3. Bus transportation is actively used in Goa and you will find a bus-stop 200m from the station. If you are on a budget trip prefer using buses.

This place is so secluded and very peaceful. If you ever want to chill at a railway station, this is the right place for you. The staff and security all are so helpful and friendly. Clean and neat platforms and restrooms. Would recommend to all travellers.

Second most popular station in Goa. It has two platforms. Mostly all major trains take a halt. Waiting room is available. Also the main platform is almost covered through out. Station is a bit inside from bus stop, but taxi service is available from station. Parking is available(paid).

Because of less rush.We have to walk a little bit from the bus stop to the station and also it is a bit uphill place.There is KERALA hotel near by this railway station which has very nice food. A very small railway station with 2 railway platforms. No.1 platform goes toward mumbai & delhi and No.2 platform towards Mudgoan Goa railway station. You can found 1 stall of food where you could find all items like Samosa, patties, upma, idli, vada etc. Idli is just average but is cheap. You would get 4 idlis for Rs.40.

Closest station to North Goa, easy transportation available to all main points in Goa. Just outside the station, you will find pre-paid taxi counter.Calingut beach is 20km from here unlike like Madgao station which is 50kms from North Goa. Thivim is station is bit inside to the main highway so one cant find many shops here. Its a lonely place with one or two shops. One has walk for 500 mts to get a bus for north Goa.

Its the nearest station for north goa , 45 mins roughly. While the other stations are far so u should opt thivim station. Local taxi will charge around 600 rs for calangute beach .Station was clean n u have charging points here . No wifi though ! Train halts for decent amount of time so need not worry .You get wada pau to eat - Ill just say that dont have it !!

3 Star, as there is lot of room for improvement, esp Washroom cleanliness. Security and there are ways to enter platform 1 without entering the station n taking platform ticket. Though it has improved a lot, but, as a Tourist destination and station which provide access to major attractions in North Goa, this needed a overhaul in maintainance.

Good facilities to reach Mapusa - Panjim .....Transportation : Taxi..Auto...and at little walking distance Pvt buses operates from say 0600 to say 20:00 so in other words if reaching this place little late means definitely bus is not available.will have to depend on Pvt vehicles & taxis maybe.

Nearest station to go to calangute beach or any other beach in goa.You can get cab here but cost is 10x then bus.You can walk.300-400m and get bus for Mapusa for rs60-70.from there you can go to Calangute Via Mapusa..It will cost hardly 100rs max
