This restaurant is nearby my office located at Chai Chee. Would recommend everyone to try biryani chicken as their biryani is really delicious and superb. My friends and I have come here multiple times just to eat biryani. Should buy at morning or lunch hours because got two times we buy during late night the biryani served is leftover ones, the taste will be different. Also can try nasi goreng ikan bilis with tomyam and hot ginger tea (with milk ones). Else like prata, doesnt suit my taste because its taste like frozen one. Biryani is my favourite food at this restaurant :)
Realising the post office was still closed after school drop off, a short journey to Chai Chee Street brings me to my go to perata joint, Khan Saab...2 kosong garing(crispy), kuah campur(pour gravy over) and 1 Teh Gajah(large teh tarik) was enough to satisfy my craving that has gone months because of Covid restrictions on dining...Come before 12pm and sample their sotong sambal, prawns and other usual Mamak fare.Other dishes includes Tosei, Beriyani and Kambing Soup...Not too sure if these are still available all day and night(they operate 24hrs), so just to be sure...I always have them the latest, around lunch time.Cravings always satisfied.Service staff are friendly and efficient and the place not too packed in this corner of Chai Chee Street.
Quality of service really depends on the people working that day, and their mee/maggi goreng portions are way too small for the price
Awesome chicken curry. Really authentic and yummy Indian food! And spicy !
The pratas are quite good and the uncle is quite accomodating. I really enjoy the cheese prata and the egg prata. The only thing it needs to improve is their murtabak which contains lots of shallots and less meat.
Will come here for our thosai and prata fix when out with my parents. Friendly staff and rather fast service. They are not stingy with curries.
Nice food, with friendly services.
Nice Indian foods and not so expensive
Perfect foodEspecially prata crispy to eat.
The prata is nice
One of the best mutton soup around...
Good food , reasonable price, open 24/ 7, good service and clean place
Chicken Mee Hoon was in a bare acceptable range. Service was slow. Had to wait about 10 mins to be attended to and order taken.Payment was by self payment kiosk which was not user friendly, it kept rejecting the $10 note. Had to try a few times before it accepted the note.
Superb food and old school ambience. Fantastic mee goreng, prata, briyani etc... There were like 3 to 4 other Indian restaurants that was here before Khan Saab, and each of those restaurants didnt last more than 2 years when they were in business. But when Khan Saab arrived, they have been a mainstay for more than 10 years if Im not wrong....hehe... 24hrs makan place... Nothing can go wrong here... Highly recommended!!!👍🏽
A place to have comfort food without fail
They said they dont sell nasi lemak as its mamak shop 😑
A to go restaurant for non veg cuisine. The biriyani is a must try
Nice Indian food
Possibly one of the best thosai and idli in the east
Great dosai
Food normal and manageable . Ginger tea is good compared to other restaurants
South Indian cuisine and authentic taste
Best prata in SG
Best indian restaurant i have ever tasted
Food was ok,Service can be improved.Self cash machine.Guy wasnt helpful and didnt know what was my order when comes to billing.
How sad I can’t rate you guys 0 star
Best Dosei ever in the east if you dont want to go Tekka
Thosai was awesome!!!
Here for the Thosai because the 3 dips that come served with the Thosai is not the typical dips you get at other restaurants. It tastes really good. And nope, not talking about the dalcha. Pay them a visit and youll know :) this is my go-to Thosai place 👍
Long waiting time. Staff not very friendly
Its not the taste of the cuisine but the location of the establishment.
Kambing soup is nice.
Love the prata and fish curry, great combo!
Roti, egg prata.. many more cuisines very tasty! Must try.
Too oily the prata. Avoid the egg. Plain is better
Frenly and good indian food.
Had the mee goreng was awesome
Tasty food
Superb Masala Doseh! Must try.🤗
One of the best prata bomb
Probably the most authentic mutton Dum Briyani in town. Superb flavors and combination of spices
Nice prata and mutton brynani. Easy parking
Awesome food and very reasonable pricing.
Great thosai and tea.
Good egg tosai, egg masala tosai with delicious vege dhal, sambar and mint coconut sambar with good teh c.
If you have to go visit the 55 Chai Chee drive branch ...the branch in cafeteria in 750 Chai Chee road viva business park is the worst ...bought mutton curry and the potatoes were spoilt...the whole gravy was rotten ...I don’t think they do any quality monotoring of this branch ...very disappointed
General Indian-Malay food is available. Food is served really fast but you will have to get hold of the waiter.
A comfortable 24 hour restaurant to spend time with friends over reasonably priced food and drinks
Nice place to eat
Nice simple eatery serving good quality Muslim dishes. Must try the chapati and keema.
Decent Indian (Mamak) food any time of the day. And finally, they accept cashless payment!
Mostly indian food
The taste of the food here is fabulous! You can hardly go wrong with anything on the already extensive menu!South or North Indian, everything is nice and you probably cannot tell based on the appearance of the shop. But dont be fooled. This is a great option to have in the Chai Chee area. Very hard to regret. Enjoy your time here!
Great tea tarik
Nice food with affordable price.
Laid back mama shop feel. Not too rushed but the food live up to expectations. Price-wise, reasonable. Location-wise, comfortable. Ample parking, too.
Everything is very good and tasty. Especially chicken biryani and mutton
Prata was so so, fish curry cmi, too sour
The prata is the best and the dosai is to die for.
Tasty and price flexible
After trying many places roti parts, I must say this is still the best. Very down to earth place among the neighbourhood. The staff there are also straight to the point. No fancy service but polite.
The Dosa (Thosai) here is very sinful (Dosa).
The prata and doosai are yummy
Basically, great food, decent location and average service. This is the place for good, reasonably priced prata in the east. They do a wide variety of local drinks and Indian food though apart from a choice of prata, menu specifics vary with their schedule.Service is as expected at a place like this, can be difficult to get their attention, sometimes have an attitude and they occasionally get things wrong but they are generally friendly. It isnt as crowded as most other supper spots and parking is easily had with 3 parking facilities nearby.
Cosy, Homely and prompt service! Always come here for my breakfast!
I feel obliged to edit my review of Khan Saab Restaurant mainly due to my experience dining in today. In all fairness, the food is good. But what truly made me lower their rating is because of their cheap business tactics. When I received the bill, I noticed that they charged me an additional $2 for the prata gravy. Being surprised, I politely asked the staff about the additional charges and they gave me a very terse yet absurd reply stating that their chicken curry is special. Hence, there are additional charges for that. Please note that my issue here is NOT about the money, its about being transparent with pricing and policy. None of their staff even bothered to inform me earlier that there would be additional charges if I requested for chicken gravy. All they needed to do was to inform us earlier instead of sneakily charging it to our bill.To aggravate things further, the 2 packets of chicken briyani which I had ordered earlier came with just 1 packet of gravy. Each set of briyani costs $6.50 and yet they want to use such cheap dirty tactics to make customers pay extra. This is a very unethical practice, continue doing this and lose more customers. I guess this restaurant has been taken over by dishonest people.
They have a variety of Dosai. Food is good but price is little high. But if you are looking for Pakistani or Indian food. This is a good place to have a meal.
Out of the way place and out of the world food.
Food is really amazing. worth it for the pricing which is also reasonable.
Nothing special about the food. From my point its a place to get food for hunger not for taste.
Understaffed. Food is quite good.
Great foodService-wise very dismal
Good
This is my go to place to chill. Love it. Good food and great service. They people there are really friendly especially if youre a regular!
Really good well-made flaky pratas here. And look out for the Roti John. One went by me (didnt try!) and it looked eye-poppingly good!
Great food & enviroment to relax
Best tea Ive had in a long time. thosai came with a masala powder (sorry I dont know what its called) that my parents were super nostalgic for. they said thosai used to come with this powder but over time people stopped serving it. go for good food that sticks to its roots
24hour mamak shop. Good choices of food. Personal favourite place of my Bae for supper.
The tosai is nice and the curry is generously given.
Fantastic prata and dalcha curry...
Butter egg tosai.. personal favourite with Bru coffee... :)
Excellent dosai, idly and mee goreng. Dosai and idly standard reminds me of those served in Tekka market, together with their superb chutney.
Nice food
Their Roti Prata is nice
Much recommended.. good Indian taste and fair price or less price
A normal Indian Moslem restaurant. Food wise, ok! Good for big family!
Prata cheese is a must try! They have the best prata Ive ever eaten. Period.
Its a good place to eat......must try it....
Overall was good only the sotong curry like rubber.
The food here is delicious and always delivers consistent taste most of the times. Worth trying out the food but dont argue with the price.
Food cooked with more oil ..
