Overall good environment, very korean-y, the service was great, the food was super, the charcoal was good charcoal. However, it is quite pricey at dinner and we were being chased out after 1.5 hours, including cooking time and we didnt even get to drink our 3rd bottle of beer. Would definitely be much better if we were given a longer time to eat and drink. Pricey but its the type of taste I love, so its worth it for me.

Searched for authentic Korean BBQ places and this place appeared. Reminded me of the time when my family and I had Korean BBQ at a non-touristy part of Korea.Seated around circular metal table with a smoke extractor in the middle above, we grilled our meats on a hot plate heated by charcoal. The hot plate also interestingly has a “moat” around it and the staff there would pour a liquid egg mixture into it. Half of it just that egg mixture, the other half with sweet corn in it.Ordering is simple, with the dishes grouped in packages for convenience. Service was prompt, but the banchan variety could be more. Ambience was great and a must try is their pancake.

Heard of good reviews of their kimchi pancake. But wasnt too impressed. Very large sized pizza though which is good for 4-5pax. The BBQ meats were ok. But found the sitting area stuffy and smoky.

Its been 2 years since I last visited and Id say it is pretty much the same. Quality is consistently good, service is consistently good.

Charcoal! Thats what draws me and my friends to this place. Large place with ample seating but better do reservations as it could be crowded. Lovely set menus and remember to order one to two pax lesser if you intend to have side dishes. The egg omelette is huge! Its a nice place to have a good meal with friends meats are fresh and looks premium. You can cook yourself or they can help you too! Another place for Korean bbq if you have like to try charcoal grill type.

The set meal is worth it and enough to fill our stomachs. Meats are fresh & the free flow eggs on the bbq hot plate is what I love!The beef stew is tasty but a tad too salty.. Cold noodles is not bad and tastes authentic. The special meat plate - truffle pork belly is ‘meh’, not really worth the value. It’s too fatty for our liking.Overall, it is ok but underwhelming as we expected more from this popular restaurant. Will still visit again to give it another try.

This restaurant Was recommend by friend so decided to try it out.Meats are really fresh, taste is just alright. The rice balls are dry and a bit blend for the taste. One suggestion to the restaurant is you can add mayonnaise to the rice balls which will bring the flavour to another level. ( this is the recipe I had before and it’s really amazing. )Pancake is good , good flavour and texture.They gave us one complimentary side dishes which is made by spring onions and beans sprouts with sweet red sauce. This is really delicious. They are able to free top up and staffs will be friendly to do so.Despite all that , no one helped us to bbq the meat unlike other outlets. Many of them just wandered in front of us and had nothing to do. I wonder we paid for service but we were not served ???Another negative point is this outlet doesn’t have fried chicken.Overall I’m not impressed by this restaurant for the food or service. Maybe it is just this particular outlet. I think for this price I can go somewhere else for better service.

Loved this place!! I like my meat marinated and they does it so well! Service was prompt although some waitress can put on a smile more. Always come here for my BBQ meat fix! Great hangout place too as there is no time limit! And they have a wide variety of food on menu where I havent had any dish that disappointed me so far. Thumbs up!!

A solid 3.5 stars. The pancake is crispy and super delicious. Other than that, service is good and brisk. The bbq meats could be better though - quite dry, and the army stew was quite standard - tasty but nothing to shout about. Would come back for the pancake, but not the bbq

First time coming here. Authentic Korean bbq, the set is very value for money. The rice wine, pancake and kimchi are all very good. The sitting place is a little squeezy but that’s fine for having a mea with close friends. Enjoy the dinner very much and will come again.

Meat was all marinated well, including the chicken. Side dishes were lovely and also refillable. Enjoyed the food, but a tad expensive. We ordered a set for 4-5, $188 and added on 2 yuzu rice wine@$33..after gst was $260, $65 each. Really filling and nice, but i personally recommend to save up, then come!

Loved the side dishes and ala carte dishes more than the bbq actually. If you are going for meat, will suggest you order the marinated ones over the original. Also, the pancake was super good and crispy and the cold noodles were fantastic too!

Choose this place to celebrate a friend birthday and indeed it is a great choice because the food and service is good. On top of that we do not have to wait for so long to get the table. Personally I love the spicy toufu soup and samgyeopsal!

Have never tried a Mozzarella Cheese Dip for meat before, so did a quick google search and found out this place has it. As there were 4 of us, we ordered quite a few items, which I will go through.First, the Korean sides were served. I am a big fan of all these Korean sides & I must say I loved 90% of it, except the fish cake. The Kim Chi was fresh, the Mash Potato was amazing and there’s so much to say and we kept eating the sides before our main dishes came. It’s free flow so just request for top-up when you finished!Boneless Prime Ribs ($29)We started off with this awesome beef which had nice fat marbling. We did not need to put any additional flavouring and it was heavenly. I am not a big fan of beef actually, but this was mouth watering.Spicy Cheese BBQ Set ($52)It came with 200g of Spicy Marinated Pork Belly, Spicy Marinated Chicken Bratwurst Sausages ( Pork & Chicken) and Mozzarella Cheese Dip. It seems very little for only 600g of meat for 4 pax, but it sure was filling and we almost couldn’t finish the chicken. Really loved Pork Belly over Korean BBQ as it elevates the taste really well. I was however a little disappointed with the Cheese as it was served in a bowl which means that if you do not eat quickly; it hardens, making it hard to dip. However, you could also request them to heat it but I found that really impractical. I dug the cheese and heated it on the sides of the BBQ, meant for the liquid egg.Half Half Pancake ($25)1 side was seafood, another side was kimchi and we had the best of both worlds. More of a fan of kimchi over seafood pancake but this one takes the cake. I would recommend ordering this although it is kind of pricey for the ingredients for a pancake.Someak - Soju & Beer 22L ($49)What’s a good meal without some liquor. Beed & Soju was really nice to go with. 2L meaning 500mL for each person was just perfect, except I had to drink 1L as the rest don’t drink much & had to drive.10/10 would return! Quality is prefect for me except that the items were really costly for ala carte as it was about $170 for 4 pax.

Love the kimchi pancake. The staff cooked the meat for us which was a plus point. Quality of meat was ok for the price point.

Had a really good time here! Service crew was on the ball, and attention to our table was excellent. Chatted with a crew member, his name was Jun Xi. He was a really entertaining and friendly guy, surprised to know that he was only 17! Other than service, food was really good too, especially the seafood pancake. Their rice wine (we tried peach), was really good as well. Tried the yakult soju and it was decent. We were also greeted by their assistant manager, whom I believed the name was Crist. I can tell that the staff members are well trained under him, props to him!Overall, really wonderful and pleasant service by WDB, will definitely bring my friends along to try them!

Had a BBQ set which serves 3-4 pax, it came with marinated meats, a small bowl of soup, a huge Korean pancake, a small plate of stir fried pork. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Besides helping us to barbecue the meats, they were quick to replenish the banchan every time they see any of the dishes finished, this includes replenishing the lettuce that goes with the bbq meats as well.The banchan included kimchi, seasoned eggs, potato salad and big sprouts, which the staff will replenish at no extra cost if you finish them.The Korean pancake was delicious and the portion was big, though we were stuffed, we managed to polish off every last crumb of the pancake.Overall, we enjoyed our lunch because there was wonderful food and wonderful service. Going to bring my parents down the next time round.

Good quality of meat, and great services, they will offer to cut meat, add side dishes without asking, checking into customers needs which are so good. And meat are of great quality compared to alot of other Korean restaurants. They serves variety of drinks like rice wine, shoju etc, ambience are good too

The restaurant is big and our family of 5 have arrive early (50% empty slots). However, we were guided to sit at the inner side of the restaurant with a table that can fit for 4pax. It was so uncomfortable for 5 of us to share such a small table and the whole area ventilation is poor - very stuffy.Our table is very close to the adjacent table with just a low partition in between two table (no social distancing at all).Food and service generally OK, but the overall experience is not that pleasant.

Was looking for Korean BBQ on a Sunday evening and this shop popped up in Google maps.. as the opening timing was stated as 5.30 pm, we decided to try it since it was around 5.15 pm and we have no booking.Reached the outlet at 5.25 pm and was surprised to see a queue.. the whole place was almost empty except for the queue at this shop!Very lucky that theres seat for walk in and we were settled down quickly..Many different sets and ala carte menu to choose from.As there were 4 of us, we ordered the set for 3-4 pax .. comes with meat platter, a soup and a 2 flavour pan cake.Refill of side dishes and egg was very prompt.The meat was well marinated and they taste great.We like the pancake very much. Very nice.Service staff were also friendly and helpful..Will definitely go back again.Total spending $122 with gst and a bottle of large Beer

Came here for the lunch hour promotion which is not available anymore. Left the $15 lunch set. Ordered seafood bean paste soup and small seafood pancake. The former is tasty as usual. The pancake is awfully nice. The side dish is as good as expected since i patronised this restaurant often in the past. Used to order their ginseng chicken all the time. Will come back to try another time.

Wang Dae Bak serves up the crispiest Korean kimchi/seafood pancake in Sg no doubt. The Korean bbq was good, marinated meat was good, pork belly was fatty and flavourful and topped up with free flow egg and side dishes. We had such a good time I forgot to take pictures of the drinks. They have an array of soju cocktails and makkoli. Featured here is the half and half pancake, marinated pork and chicken, pork belly on grills and the kimchi soup

My favourite KBBQ in Singapore from a food & service standpoint! I usually come on Saturday lunches right before peak hour with a prior reservation. Staff were attentive from start to finish, especially with finding us a corner that’s stroller friendly & getting us a baby chair. Food quality is good & pricing is typical for kbbq places in Singapore. Water is always topped up too!Definitely coming back!

One of the best Kbbq places in SGordered the marinated meat combo & asked the server to recommend which meat to cook first , he replied always cook pork belly first so the oil can help cook the other meat which was a useful tip.Servers took the initiative to help cook the meat when it wasn’t too busy otherwise we are happy cooking it ourselves too. the meat is all good but my personal fav is the beef.another must try is the sundubujjigae - seafood tofu soup as well as the pancake, we ordered a half kimchi & half seafood to try both and i prefer the seafood.thoroughly enjoyed my first visit here and went back again 3 days later however this time the service was subpar.the servers forgot our orders a few times and the food was not as good. the rice served was actually cold. not even warm 😅would definitely revisit for the food but i hope they maintain a consistent level of service & food standard

One of the best Korean food out there in my opinion . I have tasted many around Singapore and I think this has got to be the top . The service was excellent, and the staff were very kind . Food was surprisingly good and came out fast . Prices are ok compared to other Korean food stalls .

Always like the authenticBBQ experience & food there but the visit today was very disappointing. While I understand that the restaurant must limit the duration of dining to 1.5hrs during the heighten alert , but it was simply too rush to enjoy the BBQ-ing & constantly reminded by the staff that we need to vacant by the stipulated time . In the end , we have to tabao the unfinished kimchi pancake & soju( first time for me!) I guess my take is if you are looking to chill & enjoy evening the BBQ with your friends or family , this place will not offer the right kind of experience now as they have 3 turns of tables.

Ventilation needs a serious, serious overhaul because youll need a ventilator after eating. Wanted to take away one star for that but good service brought it back.

Good food quality and pricings have largely been maintained thus far.Had the premium pork set, which was (DIY) bbq using charcoal instead of electric, which tasted truly great! As soon as the army stew arrived, we ordered for a portion of sliced cheese and to our surprise, it took them almost half an hour to bring the two pieces of cheese to our table. just in time for everyone to finish almost everything in the pot.So we decided that we didnt want it anymore. And to our surprise, the cheese was not taken out from the receipt.It was a birthday dinner for one of our colleague and we have a cake which we have passed to the waiter the moment we arrived at the venue.When we were ready for the cake we informed the waiter to get the cake ready for us for the birthday. Instead the waiter placed the entire box on our table without having to even take it out, and no fork nor serving plate.Some of the waiters werent even attentive and most of our add on orders took them a long time to deliver. Will not go back again.

We were seated inside and because they used charcoal, the tables, seats, plates and everything was covered in a layer of dust and we had to wipe everything down before we sat down.Our table had 2 grills but they only opened 1 so we asked if we could have the other one too. Asked 2 diff staffs, recieved 2 diff excuses. 1 said we ordered too many things and they wasnt enough space on the table, other 1 said we didnt order enough. Whats the point of going to a bbq place if all of us cant participate?Food wasnt spectacular, neither was service. But maybe food is cheap thats why it was quite busy. But I will not be returning.

Went on a Sunday around 11.50am for lunch. There wasnt much crowd, but thankfully I arrived before 12pm as the restaurant started to get really busy soon after.Ordered Set B for 2 to share for the Korean charcoal BBQ at $49++. Wouldnt say its the cheapest out there but compared to some restaurants, I guess this price is considered reasonable. The meats were alright.The staffs were quite nice, offering to refill the eggs (yes! They are refillable!) after we had finished ours. The sides were also complimentary and refillable. There was also complimentary barley tea (?), although the taste of the tea was really diluted, almost like water, but its free, so yay! The clear sauces (no idea what sauce are they) were pretty good as well, goes really well with the meats. Read multiple reviews the pancake is really good, would return to give it a try.The ambience is rather unique as compared to other typical BBQ restaurants in SG. There isnt the usual korean music videos on TV displays. In fact the music were mainly English songs, which somehow made the place seemed a little more local (possibly more authentic) and special as compared to others.

Ordered BBQ set of 2 and seafood pancake. The pancake came in a size which was so big to our surprise! Its very crispy.. 👍 BBQ comes with free flow egg pour.. Good for those who loves eating egg! The side dishes werent that nice though.

Still cant quite figure out why this place is so popular with long queues in the evenings. Found the food quality average at best... more apt to describe it as mediocre really. The quality of the BBQ meat is just so so. I wasnt impressed with the level of service either. Admittedly my frds and I were late for our booking (by 15-20 mins), the staff manning the front still showed attitude... Seriously? There are heaps of much better Korean BBQ shops in the Telok Ayer area thats authentic n good.

Took the set meal for 3-4pax... portion just nice for 4pax gals... love the seasoning for the meat.. the half half pancake was awesome! Crispy and yummy!!! Match it with some soju and we had a great time chatting... Ending it off with ice cream makes the meal complete...

Pretty good KBBQ joint. Good banchan selection and good cuts of meat. The pajeon was really good but a little too big for just two people (had to take the rest home). They did not offer to cook the meats for us though (like most KBBQ joints do.) Prices are really steep but nothing out of the ordinary for a KBBQ joint in the CBD. Do call ahead to make a reservation or you might have to wait a long time to be seated. Will come back again if I need a quick KBBQ fix.

Came for Sunday lunch and its relatively packed. Both food and service are good. The egg and the side dishes are nice as well, but do note that the pancakes tend to be on the bigger side.

Service is fast and attentive. Decent selection of complimentary side dish. Kimchi soup however was a little bland. Seafood pancake is good. Complimentary tea is served. Washroom are located in the building opposite the shop.

Nice and reasonably priced lunch sets. About 6 side dishes for 2 pax. I like their ttokbokki. I find their BBQ food is nicer than other Korean restaurants around the area. I can always still find seats at this branch if I arrived just a little after 12. They serve barley tea instead of water unlike other Korean restaurants around the area. From $10 set lunch. Good.

As there is only two of us, we wanted to pick the ala carte mains from the big menu showing a variety of food. But the staff told us that only the lunch set is available. Is it due to covid or what?? Only 3 mains to pick from. We ordered kimchi soup+side beef for $16+. And a seafood pancake at $21. Only at promotional price $15 if u order 3 main. The menu prices are not standardise as it shows original price $20 but flip to the original vast variety page, it shows $21.Food is ok, some nice. A bit pricey for the pancake. Saw little amt of seafood-prawns, squid. Soup was not worth. Colleague said it was a larger hotpot before. It is just a bowl of few kimchi pieces and tofu, 2 thin pork belly? Maybe it makes u feel better considering its a set with bbq beef.

Reservations required for dinner. Very generous size pancakes. Had a BBQ set for 2 with a friend. Beef, pork and marinated chicken with egg omelette on the side. Meat is mostly good and there are the usual side dishes and kim chee. There are drink offers and the rice wine is awesome with bbq. They will let you take back leftovers

Wang Dae Bak has been around for a while and is by far my favorite Korean BBQ in Singapore. I haven’t been there in a while and I visited yesterday with my friends. The place was full so make it a point to book a table. I was happy to see the place hadn’t changed, except less table due to social distancing. The food is very authentic Korean style and their portions are generous. I love the beef and pork. If you go for chicken go for the spicy marinated chicken. The seafood pancake is a must try, somehow they manage to make it really crunchy. If you like soup I recommend the kimchi and spicy tofu soup. I will be back for more.

I was at the restaurant when a lady ( she looks malay with long hair ) working at the restaurant was making so much noise that i could not dine in peace. The food was good but my overall experience was uncomfortable because of that lady.It’s pretty rude to scream knowing that there’s still customers. hope you’ll train your staff to have at least some basic work ethics. thanks.

Recommended by friend so we decided to give it a try. Went for early dinner and we arrived at 6pm. Location is quite easily accessible from Raffle Place and Telok Ayer MRT. Place is clean and spacious. We ordered the ala carte set b and pancake and spicy beef soup. Very generous portion of Pancake. Free flow of hot tea. Staff is very attentive when not crowded and generally they are very friendly. Very crowded during peak hours so do make reservation.:)

Used to be my favorite place to fulfill my Korean food craving but not after today with the terrible services provided by your staff, what your staff did was:1) just throw the side dishes on the table and let the customer to arrange it2) take away the utensils without checking the patron have the required utensils3) Never attending to the customer despite the call button was pressed. I love the SunDuBu soup here. Absolutely delicious and reasonably priced at $12 nett.The soup is FILLED with ingredients and the sides are free flow, so I can guarantee youll be full.The soup here is full of the seafood flavour and its not very salty (which is good) because the flavour comes from the broth itself and not from the overwhelming salt that usually shops with lousy broth would do!However, sides are pretty decent but nothing fantastic.Totally recommend this place if youre craving seafood soup. That said, the spicy beef soup is not that nice because it has overwhelmingly a lot of tanghoon.

Best Korean BBQ in Singapore. Best to make reservations before coming for dinner. BBQ only available for dinner. Service staff are friendly too but be expected not to have perfect service due to many customers. The lady boss will help out too. Highly recommended.

Very delicious and high quality meats only at WDB👍👍 love the free flow side dishes and eggs!! the service staffs were very prompt to our requests when we needed refill and they also helped us to change the grill twice. the half & half pancake and cold noodle soup is AMAZING. i love to come here because of the food and their excellent service~ its really worth every single of my cent and i would come back again everyday!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED 😋

I had high expectations of this place and I was unable to make it in time a few time before the store closes due to my working hour. So when I finally had time to visit this store I was super excited.Pork belly and kimchi is very good (best I ever had) but the beef dont have much flavor , army stew is average. For the price I expected better service dont think I will come back again as I can easily think of a few other korean bbq resturant with similar price point but better service and food.

Used to be my favorite place to fulfill my Korean food craving but not after today with the terrible services provided by your staff, what your staff did was:1) just throw the side dishes on the table and let the customer to arrange it2) take away the utensils without checking the patron have the required utensils3) Never attending to the customer despite the call button was pressed.
