There are irish and local ducks. Irish ones are fattier as I understand. Just go with local one its good. Best thing for the Beijing duck is the dish is wrapped when served and cooking with 面线 does not have extra charge

Visited them last year with my wife. Food is good but service could be better. Stood at the door for a long while (with many crew members walking past us). we tried to get their attention but they seemed to be very busy and understaffed.after we ate, we were left waiting to pay the bill. I walked to the kitchen dorr to get help after waiting for about 15-20mins and it was settled quite quickly thereafter.

The ambience is very nice . Food is amazing good . Very friendly service and they even recommend dishes in Cantonese when we speak Cantonese . Walk in last time but was fully booked . So this time I book one day in advance. Price is not very cheap but they are running promotion for Amex card member. Overall good experience and will be back for more.

One of quiet places to have a proper meal around Orchard. Love their space and the atmosphere, and of course their good service.Food wise, love the cod fish. Order almost everytime. So far been there twice, and pretty enjoyed. Recommend any one bypass Orchard and looking for a nice place to have a bit of peace of quiet.

This is an established classic Chinese restaurant that you can hardly get a seat without at least a week’s reservations in advance for lunch. If there is one item that stands out for dim sum, it would have to be the wukok which is topped by an abalone.

Staff were attentive. Lunch hour they were fully booked from what I see. Do make prior reservation at least 3 days in advance. The menu is prefixed so we cannot select the dishes. The moment we were seated, found a corner near my spouses seat littered with crumbs though. You dont expect this in a classy restaurant in a reputable five star hotel.Food was served hot and I liked that the food was served in individual portions for hubby and me. Nice presentation, neat and hygienic.

I am dressed in denim jacket, pants and loafers. (but with a red backpack.)1) i was there 630ish pm.2) don’t see no crowd; from my angle only a table for a couple.3) greeted by the recep, i asked for a walk-in table for two4) checked the system and asked me “can you do the dinner by an hour?”i am actually pretty bothered by the eating time set. Is there such unspoken regulation during peak hour diners have to finish by an hour? Imagine if i order many dishes and time is running out, then what? Chase me away? Was it my red bag that you think i can’t manage the bill?so peeps, you be the judge. for me, both thumbs down 👎🏻👎🏻 Never coming to try, never going to recommend. Service is equally important as the quality of food.

Had some pastries and egg tarts from Wan Hao Restaurant recently. My parents and siblings finished the novelty items like Red Bean Egg Tart or Gula Melaka Egg Tart before I could try them. I had the classic items like the Original Egg Tart and the Char Siew Su though and find them to be pretty good. The egg tart has a nice buttery crust and the filling was just right, it beats some of the Cantonese egg tart shops that have pop up around Singapore recently. The classic egg tart here is also a little different from the Tai Cheong Egg Tarts, it has a more old-school texture. The baked char siew pastry was yummy, the filling was delicious.

Absolutely PHENOMENAL PLACE. 100/10.The food is so good! Ive been to so many chinese restaurant, that in the end, feels like a an overpriced tzechar place. BUT this place is OF A DIFFERENT LEAGUE. The prawns were perfectly fried, perfectly golden, not oily. Mushrooms were so soft and amazing, so well-seasoned.The TEA is AMAZING. Theres complexity in the taste, you can tell that the tea options were selected carefully by an expert.Even though it was a busy time, the waiters were still quite attentive, refilling the tea everytime without me calling for them.Although, 1 criticism may be that the portion sizes were way too small imo. $16 for a small bowl of stir-fry pork...

Chinese fine dining with very fresh ingredients. The crispy pumpkin with ample pork floss is great as a starter and generous for a portion. The beef roll with enoki mushroom is a special item on promotion, tasty. The only slight disappointment is the XO mee sua, although also well done, was merely normal.

I have tried the Abalone Dumpling and Pork Dumpling from Yan Ting, St Regis and from Wan Hao, Marriott and in my opinion the ones from St Regis are way superior in ingredient and flavour. Yes it is more expensive from St Regis but if one is stuffing glutinous rice into ones system, it must at least be scrumptious.

Although the taste isnt mindblowing and youll have to pour your own tea, I think the feature of eating here is in the subtleties in the minor flavours. There isnt the intensity and punch that singaporeans are used to, but still flavourful from the quieter notes from the constituent ingredients and spices that usually gets masked over.Others complain about the lack of service, but I find the absence of constant distraction somewhat pleasant. It feels like food prepared caringly that doesnt tire the palette, just that it doesnt really leave a deep impression. Exemplary homecooked.

The menu has changed and dim sum is no longer a standalone menu but rather has been incorporated into the main menu. There are now only about 10 items in the dim sum menu and prices have increased tremendously as well. The food still taste good but given the price increase, it does certainly leave a bit of a bitter taste to many customers. Having said that if you have AMEX Platinum Card or better, you can get great discounts of up to 50% off (excluding GST and service charge)

Visited this restaurant for the first time for lunch. Reservation was essential as it was full, even on a Monday - we had to settle for a very late lunch. If I can give zero stars i will. This is a lousy restaurant. My booking was 145pm. I made my reservation weeks in advanced. And then when I got there at 115pm, they say I’m too early, no seat yet. I said ok, I’ll be back at 145. When I reached at 146pm, they tell me my table is not ready; they cannot chase the patrons away even though they are supposed to give back the table by 145pm. They then tell me that I have to wait till 2pm. What kind of restaurant is this?! One of the worst Chinese restaurants ever!!!

I like this restaurant, because it is pretty spacious. The food here is also pretty good. Expect to pay for mains, starting from $25.1) Poached Pork and Prawn Dumpling with Spicy Szechuan Vinegar Sauce ($8 for 4 pcs) - each dumpling was pretty big, and the sauce was not too spicy. This would be good as an appetiser.2) Steamed Glutinous Rice with Dried Shrimp, Chicken and Mushroom ($5) - pretty average.3) Wan Hao Signature Crispy Chicken ($28 for half a chicken) - I definitely recommend this dish. The skin is really crispy, and the meat is still very moist. The portion is also pretty large.4) Braised Iberico Pork with Chinese Sausage and Yam ($36 for small) - I also highly recommend this dish. It is tasty. The pork is also very tender.5) Poached Sharp Spinach with Minced Shrimp, Tobiko and Garlic ($24 for small) - I enjoyed this dish because of the texture and mouthfeel of the dish. The shrimp bits and tobiko really add to the chewing experience and makes things less mundane. The food ordered was sufficient for three people.

Tried this restuarsnt when HSBC is having a promotion.Service is not as good when comparing with other resturant which are also located in the hotel. I remember requesting for complimentary carpark ticket and the waitress took a look at our receipt without asking for it then pass a ticket to us (is there a minimum spending amount required in order to get a complimentary ticket?) . Even when clearing plates, they dont inform us and just clear the plates away like they are in a rush.Food is still OK. Their signature fried chicken and fried rice are normal but their tofu is good.Overall experience, they dont make the guest feel welcome. Everything they do seems like they are in a rush, from ordering food to serving food to collecting of empty plates. No thank you from the waitress or waiter when leaving.Perhaps Im expecting a little bit more of service since they are a restaurant located in the hotel.
