5 stars in my book! Its a Michelin Star place, so go with great expectations and see them fulfilled. We had something called the Chefs Menu..Now what you need to know about it is that its a gastronomic delight place where they deconstruct food and create fusion recipes that surprise your palate and bring that edge of zest to dishes you wouldnt imagine. The staff is extremely courteous and friendly. Service is prompt and graceful. The way they blend the tastes of South India with East Asian cuisine and give it new life and form is fascinating. Its a food coma inducing, heavenly feeling giving, scrumptious, succulent food.
No words to explain such an awesome meal! One of the best if not the best progressive Indian restaurants in Singapore. Every dish is packed with flavour and inventiveness. The lamb biryani was out of this world but my absolute favourite was the pork belly wrapped in beetle leaf. Everything was perfect. The old fashioned cocktail was mindblowing. Hope they receive 3 stars in the near future.
Really good Indian food done with a twist. There were too many dishes so I will summarize. The first few dishes were finger foods that are a play on traditional Indian Street foods.Very unique flavours. The main courses consisted of a lobster tail (with a fried claw), a cured hamatchi in a coconut broth, followed by a braised short rib.All were really good in my opinion.I didnt really care for the desserts ( there were 2).All in all, this is a place I would definitely recommend trying at least once. If u like Indian food, u would appreciate the flavour profiles on offer.
The food was absolutely delicious, some of the dishes felt familiar and comforting while others challenged our palette’s in the best possible way.The service was also excellent, we found the staff to be thoughtful, attentive and clearly passionate about the food being served. Finally the cocktails were superb and matched only by the wine recommendations that paired beautifully with our main dishes.
(Visited July’20) Highly recommend to try! It was a chance encounter, I remembered it was right after the circuit breaker and Thevar was still relatively new.It was the first time all of us had an Omakase at an Indian fine dining and we didn’t really know what to expect.Beautiful colours, immaculate plating and if my memory serves me right it was an explosion of flavours - and a treat on the senses because you don’t really know what to expect and each dish keeps delighting you course after course - love the stuffed roti (4th photo) I still remember the flavours a year on! Big thanks to the team for such a memorable and lovely night.Hope P2HA gets over quickly and cannot wait for my next visit at Thevar!! Highly recommended!
Awesome dining experience. Chef Mano and the whole team behind are really talented. Fine dishes, well balanced and lots of umami. They just go a well deserved Michelin star.
The dishes were amazing - the chef really managed to surprise us with the different textures and flavours! I especially loved the first three starters. Unfortunately by the time we reached the mains I was already so full and therefore I couldn’t fully appreciate the fish and lamb kebab. The curry rice was really delicious as well, packed with flavour. The two desserts were refreshing and fun!I can totally imagine this restaurant getting a star next year. The owner may want to consider some more training for the service staff though. They were friendly but still a bit stiff and distant. Also, when the staff poured my wine I noticed some cork in the glass and he told me to just try the wine first and then he’ll get me a clean glass.. The whole point of tasting the wine is to check whether it’s corked, which in this case was obvious. When I got a clean glass, he poured me the wine from the same bottle and I had a bit of cork in it again but didn’t want to make a fuss. All in all, the dishes were amazing and creative but the service could be improved a bit.
What a meal! Wow wow wow— start to finish it was beautifully executed, food to service to wine — all amazing. Loved their tasting menu and can’t wait to return and try the other dishes. Kudos to the team who had us in, fed with 10 courses, watered and out with a very happy belly in the current 2 hr time slot without feeling rushed. Go to Thevar, you won’t regret it!
Had the most wonderful dining experience to celebrate the GF’s belated bday due to the dine in restrictions at her fav restaurant. So this was a most anticipated date night. Was my first time at thevar, and was hugely sceptical about the food, but there was no need to be. It is a great gastronomic experience, especially if you love Indian food, or food in general. From the first dish I knew it would be great. Every dish was subtle, and delicious. I was stuffed at the end of the meal, and I eat quite large portions. The pace the food was served was just nice, and we were constantly being checked on by the staff,in between meals.Thevar is Indian food elevated, and if you can, is a great opportunity to try Indian food like you have never before.Just so that it’s not overly positive, their prices are high. Given the quality of food, I guess one can understand. Just wish it was more sustainable to my wallet. Nonetheless,it’s a great treat to yourself and others.July2021Chef’s menuDrinks: koyya martini ( really good) filter kaapiFav dishes: beetroot chat, prawn kachori, oyster pakora,Damage: $5xx
I still dream about my meal at Thevar a lot from time to time. Worth it, amazing experience, impeccable service. I don’t think there’s any like Thevar in Singapore where you get such world class Indian fusion cuisine. Every plate was a burst of flavour and colours, truly how Indian cuisine should be. My companion chose a fantastic bottle of wine to go with our meal and it was a memorable night. My favourite dish of the night was the Cured Hamachi with Apple and Leaf Sothi topped with Oscietra Caviar. I didn’t think the Uni Uppuma works at all since the curry flavour over-empowered the natural freshness of the Uni. Take note that they do not serve ala carte anymore and you have to pay a hefty minimum for their Chef’s menu.
This place wins my vote for underrated spot of the year. What a delicious and rich experience, starting with pleasant and conscientious service and sustained with powerful flavors, from the Masala Pork Cheeks to the Chettinad Rotis. I would recommend sticking to the smaller tapas plates - while their large plates are nice, the smaller plates consistently demonstrated ingenuity. High recommendations for Thevar!
Visited last night with a friend. High expectations and they were exceeded. We went for the non vegetarian chefs menu which really showed off how excellent the cuisine is. Oysters, pork, fish plus loss more. Every single dish was excellent and had us chatting about the experience. Only thing I’d change when I definitely go back is to have sake as opposed to wine as Chef Mano recommended that next time.
Excellent twist on Indian cuisine, great subtle flavours and a very informative and pleasant team serving. Hokkaido scallops stand out dish, lamb tandoori simply excellent. Wine pairing very good, though we ran out of time so didnt get the last glass. No matter.
Thevar in one word can be defined as flavourful. The food is curated by master chefs here. World class food with spot on service makes the restaurant deserves much more than 5 stars. Absolutely loved the vibe of the place. Would definitely recommend this to be a go to place for date nights or friends catching up for dinner. Came across a quote by Joey Fatone which is apt for Thevar “If you combine good flavors, food turns into an orchestra”. Kudos to the entire team!
An amazing experience with a delicious and fresh take on Indian cuisine. The crispy pork was particularly exquisite. Music was great and vibes are pretty chill. Service was alright, but could be more attentive. For an establishment with this much hype and that boasts a menu at this price - the service was quite a let down. But once the orders were in, everything else was good!
The restaurant was packed but service was attentive, and Head Chef @mano.thevar’s food was, as always, robust in flavours and a joy to eat.We kept to the lighter dishes from the menu as we both didn’t want a heavy dinner. So after some discussion, it was decided we’d have the following;1. Cured Hamachi with Coriander and Tellichery Pepper ($36++) - When he brought us this item, Chef @kwongheng22 took pains to explain the preparation and ingredients that were involved. I thought it was a novel idea to serve cured hamachi in such a fashion. The use of spices, fresh pomelo, @caviarcolony’s Kaluga Hybrid caviar, not to mention presenting the rolled fish in a chilled thick, creamy coconut sothi definitely got it extra exciting on the palate.2. Chettinad Chicken Roti ($24++) - My number one favourite from previous visits, I swear it’s even more fabulous now because the filling of spicy chicken paste has become THICC. So I can assure you, every bite reached new heights of satisfaction.3. Crispy Pork Belly ($24++) - This much-instagrammed item still looked as enticing as ever with the slather of sambal aioli and fresh betel leaf wrap.4. Cumin Lamb #Sliders ($28++) - Kevin voted this his favourite of all. Clearly, the mini #burger of fragrant pulled meat, pickles, curry aioli and soft masala brioche bun was his jam.5. Oxtail and Veal Bone Marrow #Murtabak ($28++) - I was bowled over by this snack! A crowd-pleasing creation, the dough bundles were crispy and the filling, flavourful and moist. Accompanying them were pickles and a mini bowl of oxtail curry that were executed to perfection as well.6. Curry Smoked Natsu Pajeri ($28++) - The big #brinjal was a delight in every sense of the word. Smoky, squishy, crunchy and loaded with flavours, this is a must-try in my opinion.
Mind. Officially. Blown. Chef Mano Thevar has taken Indian cuisine and elevated it to new heights. The meal was an absolute delight with each course tasting familiar yet special. The service was friendly, the ambience relaxed. Sit on the counter for the ultimate immersive experience of the whole kitchen.
We went the Thevar got its 1 Michelin star. Great food, good service. 4 star because the ambience is poor.
Many flavors be going around during dinner. Great food at affordable prices at a very chic restaurant.
We had an amazing dinner here to celebrate our anniversary. We love Indian food and are very picky about it. We loved every dish we ordered and were glad we went here based on our friends recommendation. The service was good, and the staff were friendly too. Will definitely recommend it and well be going back soon! Making reservations is a good idea.
Very friendly staff who makes you feel at home. Absolutely interesting interpretations and reinvention of Indian street snacks and food with uncommon ingredients combined perfectly. Very wonderful place to have a good good dinner.
The food here is mindblowingly awesome! My favourite is the grilled octopus - the seasoning on this is the bomb! Service was also really great; one of the waiters made sure to explain the concept behind each dish as it was served, which totally elevated the dining experience.
The inside space is rather surprising for a restaurant, but we were sat outside. The staff is kind, knowledgeable and recommended very well all dishes; the cocktails are beautiful and tasty, and the food... everything was perfectly balanced, perfectly spiced and cooked so that the meat was crispy and melting in mouth, all sauces thick and rich, probably the best Indian restaurant I’ve been in Asia. If I could say one thing, i wish I had seen more diversity in the wines; a menu with 80% European wines when in a non European restaurant across the world was surprising, I wished there were more local alternatives even in beers and alternative spirits.
The personal touch from Mano tipped the scale. Not only was the food amazingly creative and full of flavours, Mano clearly loves what he does
We ordered the chefs menu. It was like a tasting menu of the entire menu. The food was truly delicious!!
4.5 - google please start letting us rate by half marks! That said, tapas isn’t quite what you think of when it comes to Indian cuisine but my oh my, this was delicious.Every single dish was packed with flavour. A couple of dishes were rich such as the veal bone marrow (which you expect it) but truly complex yet well balanced flavours and hey, not at all spicy! The one dish I did not fancy as much was the crispy pork as it was overdone which means not tender enough for me.Nonetheless, still highly recommended even if you’re not looking a more refined joint for Modern Indian cuisine.
5 star experience, I wish I had discovered this place earlier. Started off too late as well which made the wine pairing challenging. But what a great evening: had the chef menu and that was a good decision. Service was outstanding by Dinesh, who was able to give a smiling performance despite his mask. Highlight of the evening was the hamachi, still patiently waiting for the chef to send me his recipe....
Bloody good feed really. We didn’t know what to order because the whole menu sounded good. Eventually we got a couple of dishes to share. My fave was the chicken roti and dessert. Might just have to come back with more people to try the other dishes. Highly recommended ✌️
Fantastic service crew, food was beyond expectations and the taste for every course was authentic yet modern! Chef Thevar is simply wow with his creativity!
I went all-apps for more variety and because I was on my own. I really appreciate that they did single servings where possible to facilitate this. Everything was great. Chicken roti. Butter mushrooms. Eggplant. Crispy pork. Would come again and eat all the other things. Sat at the kitchen counter and found the staff really engaging and friendly.
Inventive and flavourful modern Indian food. The issues I have with the restaurant come from the ambience and decor of the place. For starters the music choice is plain awful and confusing, one minute its clubbing and the the next could be reggae.. Neither of which fits the vibe here. The decor is rather dark and cramp, and honestly not justified for the price they are asking. My meal came up to 90 sgd per person without wine, which I thought was extremely high given the portions. Its a shame because I think the food here is really good!
Amazing service and amazing food...totally recommended
ThevarModern Indian food done extremely well at this eatery in the trend Keong Saik area. Service is warm and playful while the open kitchen concept is exciting. We loved the Crispy Pork in Betel Leaf dishThe Damage (no drinks): S$450 for twoThey serve degustation but below were some of their highlight dishes:~~TRY😍// Chettinad Chicken Roti// Crispy Pork, Sambal Aioli// Cured HamachiFollow us at IG: eatsmorefun
A chill place serving exquisite indian cuisine.
Had the tasting menu. extensive 9 course but our palettes were exhausted 1/3 through the meal. all dishes tasted pretty heavy and the best dish was the pilau rice, which was light and fragrant. prices have increased by at least 20% since a year ago. first and last time here.
Went here for dinner to celebrate a birthday. Food was Indian cuisine with a modern twist. The chefs passion for his work is evident from the dishes, which made us reimagine what is possible with Indian food. Its a similar experience to the one we had at Avartana in ITC Chola, Chennai. We went for the chefs menu, allowing us to sample a wide variety of dishes. Thoroughly enjoyed the food, which though different, was very delicious. Service was friendly and efficient.Definitely worth a visit. Recommended to make reservations before heading down.
Modern take on deliciousness Indian flavours, surprisingly not too many of these type of restaurants in Singapore most are traditional. Delicious flavours and top quality ingredients. Fish with the smoked mussel was genius, the crab curry bang tidy.Recommend not crazy pricey either.
Major food coma. We were two people but got almost everything on the menu. Heres what we got:Pork belly: 3/5Hanifa fish: 3/5Lamb doughnut: 3/5Pork chop: 3/5Crab curry rice: 3/5Naan with curry truffle: 3/5I gave everything a 3/5 because despite having good taste, they were not mind blowing. For the price we paid, I was expecting something a bit more special. The service was good and the interior of the place was nice which was why I gave it an extra star.Probably wouldnt come back.
The one and only Modern Indian restaurant in Singapore l, This place is a must. This place is for you to Try for the food and beverages on your own choice.Well done! chef mano.It was a superb experience! And there is a small click form me on the attached pics.
Food is great. Innovative Indian cuisine. Service is just alright, could use a bit more attention. Overall a pleasant dining experience.
Exquisitely refreshing flavours and compositions compared to the standard european/French degustation menus we have locally! Two thumbs up. Cocktails can be improved though.
Just Amazing!
Pork snack dish with beetle leaf was out of this world. Second to my favourite was the Octopus with lemon barley. Its definitely not your typical Indian restaurant. Indeed its one of a kind with their own twist to the flavours of every dish served. Good selection of wine and very attentive service. Highly recommended. Would definitely come back again! 😉😉😉
Our friends recommended us to visit Thevar and it certainly didn’t disappoint. It was our 1 year wedding anniversary and unfortunately our babysitter could not look after our 18mth old Son so we had to bring him along. As soon as we arrived the staff were fantastic notably Sashi who was our waiter. It was by far the best service we have had in Singapore and Sashi and the manager (can’t remember his name) gave us fantastic recommendations for food and cocktails. The food was amazing and the flavours went very well together. I loved the octopus, mushrooms and the pork!Thank you to the whole team who were so accommodating to my family.I highly recommend Thevar to all.
This Mod-Ind restaurant is a far cry from the sophisticated and delectable meals we had at the now defunct Saha Indian Restaurant at the National Gallery. Head Chef Thevar was no where in sight, leaving all the cooking to a young team of Malay and Chinese. The Korma and Butter Mushroom curries tasted all-too-similar, while the copious amount of salt in the Chettinad Chicken Roti made the dish (generous salty meat portion wrapped in thin roti, not eaten with rice) most difficult to swallow. The Roti and the Nann seemed like one and the same. And the rich cream and butter was still sitting in my stomach after 2.5 hours. Overpriced and over hyped.
Nicely located in the very hipster Keong Saik neighbourhood. The menu hits the right notes. Food Cooked to perfection. A very curated menu. The reason I say 4 rather than 5, is because it’s slightly stuffy if you sit at a bar counter seat at the back. Ask for seats by the kitchen or the actual bar where you enter. Had I gotten a better seat perhaps I would have sat There endlessly. The chettinad chicken roti is a must- have.
Great ambience and delectable food! We loved all the dishes we ordered but the starters blew us away - crispy pork with sambal aioli, and the chettinad chicken roti. Will definitely be back for more.
One of the best meals I’ve had in Singapore. Amazing innovative food, great atmosphere and run by a brilliant and friendly chef with an equally wonderful team.
Indian inspired flavours with contemporary techniques and finesse. Delicious and familiar. Reservations necessary. Everything ordered was good. Recommend the crispy pork sambal aioli and salty yoghurt drink.
Amazing food with a unique twist on familiar indian inspired dishes
Absolutely divine. Every dish was a wow, with the pork belly and octopus particularly outstanding.
Thevar did provide the quality of food that did bring a smile n a big wow to my face. It did not fall short of the promise that it claimed on its website. Every bite left me craving for more. I would have loved to see the chefs take on dum biryani. I had a seat on the bar so it was was understandably not the coldest seat. The aircon could be slightly stronger being in Singapore et al. However the only criticism I would have is that the service could have matched the effort that the chef took to create the details on each dish. My orders were messed up and drinks were slow. Also the drinks menu could be more extensive to include cocktails n beers as the choices were available only upon request.I let the pics speak for themselves.....
Amazing food and ambience !
Very nice restaurant, the food and the atmosphere was great 👌🏻
In a space as crowded as fine dining in Singapore, for one to stand out it takes effort: quality, execution, service, and bang for your buck. Thevars food was exceptional. The service was excellent. The dishes and pours generous. Its not cheap, of course, but you leave happily full and your mouth tingling. Were definitely returning to try the rest of the menu.
Interesting Indian food with good service 👍.Give 4.5 stars due to lack of spiciness.
Amazing experience with lovely cocktails and food. The pork aioli and the bike marrow murtabak was great. As well as the banana ice-cream and the carrot kulfi.
Amazing Indian fine dining with attentive service. Have the chicken roti!
Service is nice, interior is ok.Food was ok but not great. Except for the complementary starter & the pork, everything else was mediocre.190sgd for 2people & 1 beer.
A bit pricey but the food was rich and tasty. Limited seats so please book in advance.
Tasty and delicious food!Service was top notchOne of the busiest restaurant in Keong Saik
My favorite Indian fine dining restaurant in Singapore. Their take on Indian classics and introducing their own twist on it is innovative and more importantly delicious. We started off with the rasam and mango lassi oysters. Absolutely fantastic! Get six and share you won’t regret it. Next we tried the chettinad roti.. thought it will be hard to match the oysters but the tenderness and juicyness of the chicken was on point. Next up was the pulled lamb on masala brioche. Again very good but we liked the first two more. Then we tried the tapioca and lentil fritter where the star of the show was the accompanying date sauce. Lastly for mains we shared a tandoori rack of lamb. Again was outstanding up their with the oysters and chettinad chicken. Had to have something sweet to end an excellent experience. You cannot go wrong with their carrot halwa kulfi with a dash of tulsi and coffee mousse. Overall excellent food and apart from a slightly slow start to the service (which i think was because they were overwhelmed by the rush on a Friday evening, plus they apologized multiple times for the same) this has to be one of the few places I’ll return back to.
Everything prior to the dinner was disastrous. Barely able to contact anybody from the restaurant. Still, my friends were adventurous enough to give it a try and this place amazed us. Had the 10courses chefs menu (exclude one nibble right at the start and 3desserts to end with), some hits and misses but overall, the hits were so unforgettable that we wanted more! Dishes were really interesting and unique as the chef tries to accentuate Indian cuisine flavours. The cost was $198++ per pax.Recommended for a one time visit!(Note: they removed the alacarte menu since Feb)
- cocktailNot as great as IBHQ and not comparable to tippling club- foodBest dish was the beetroot one - it has some depth. Naan too! Good! The rest, like the pork with leaves, pork quality was not good enough so it tastes like kbbq pork, kbbq pork belly prob would’ve been nicer.- bellyYou don’t get full from the tasting menu- personal opinionLower the price or be better at the food :)
We came to Thevar to celebrate a birthday and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. As one of us was vegetarian, we opted for the vegetarian Chefs tasting menu and absolutely loved it. Its probably one of the best vegetarian food experiences in Singapore. The chef had a great take on classical Indian dishes and the plating was always on point. We had 11 items in total, and they generally tasted very good! There were one or two dishes where we agreed that the classic version may still be our favourite. The staff was great, friendly, and explaining the inspiration and ingredients in dish. What would have made the experience better would have been to attended by the chef a bit more (he did come by to explain one of the dishes) and hear his take on the food.
Enjoyed eating here for the variety for sure. The only reservation to be honest was that they served shellfish after explicitly stating allergies to specific foods (including all molluscs but still served oysters). Then served vegetarian options to the same patron when there was no stating that he was a vegetarian. Had several hiccups like this throughout the meal and obviously expected a smoother service at $360/head. Would go back for an a la carte option but not an 8 course menu.
Its the best restaurant.I Ive never eaten food like this its the best
Service is really bad. Please go somewhere else to enjoy a nice meal. There are a lot of good restaurants in Singapore
Had a really special experience here on Friday night. Excellent service from all staff. The tasty IPA and and Irish oysters was a real highlight. Outstanding presentation and Indian flavour fusion. Will be recommending to my friends.
This was an amazing dining experience for India FusionThe place is small - half of it taken up by the Kitchen. I got lucky as I arrived around 9 to eat - I think if you plan on having dinner here - make a reservation. I was quickly seated at the bar by Tim (Manger) and he walked me through the menu and recommend items- I had Chettnad Chicken Roti ( similar to a street taco) , Crispy Pork (amazing) , Sri Lankan Crab Curry Rice (basicaly a crab bryani) and Tandoori Lamb Loin (FYI Prepped using sous vide method). All of tasted excellent accompanied by a great service staff. If its your first time there & enjoy cooking: I recommend eating at the bar and get a first hand look at them creating your meal.
Wonderful experience. The dishes are creative, tastes balance well and the lamb and hamachi in particular extremely well prepared. What’s most outstanding is the service, friendly, attentive and effective. One of the best food experiences I’ve had in Singapore
Extremely flavorful food, something you might have never tried before! Brilliant Service too!
An amazing culinary experience awaits anyone who visits Thevar. Every dish is a winner! Choicest ingredients put together ingeniously to excite the palate. Kudos to Chef Mano. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
This was our second visit to Thevar. Food experience was out of this world. This time I am bit disappointed with service as we went to celebrate birthday. Even after couple of time requests to make it special there was no effort made from staff. For food experience all 5 stars, but service was normal.
Excellent cuisine and service! Very innovative take
I would rate 10 star if google allowed. Really memorable meal , every bites explode with flavours . Can see entire team come together to give their 101 percent hospitality . Kudos to this young people’s . Very rare to come across this . Keep it up . And also very refreshing take on cocktails! My husband love it and keep raving till next day 😂
Very atas and pricey but the food doesnt disappoint. Youll definitely discover new flavors and combinations that you have never tried before. Didnt understand the crazy hype around this place though (several weeks of waiting and $100 deposit as well)Highlights included the Chicken Chettinad Roti and the Frozen Gajar Halwa Kulfi!
Im giving this place 1 star mainly because of the horrendous service we had received on the phone by Dinesh, who I assume was the front of house at the time, especially at an establishment that charges close to $500 for 2 pax.My boyfriend and I had made a reservation at 8.30pm for our anniversary after glowing reviews from our family and friends. On the day of the dinner, he called the restaurant to inquire about the availability of ala carte as well as if both patrons needed to order the tasting menu since Im not a big eater and I would hate to waste perfectly good food. We explained that wed made the reservation without knowing that everyone in the party had to order the tasting menu, and it would be great if he would be able to accommodate us and even if that was not possible, that they be clearer for other patrons who will visit their restaurant in the future.A few minutes after the call, I suddenly received an email from chope saying that my reservation was cancelled. I called up the restaurant to clarify what had happened and learnt that after our initial call, Dinesh had deemed it fit to just cancel our reservation without informing us. Not only did he not apologize, but also graciously informed us that he was dialing other patrons. He also then hung up on us stating that dinner service had begun and he needed to go.My boyfriend and I were very excited to visit this restaurant and had made this reservation a month in advance. We understand that covid has caused a strain on food establishments. If it was previously relayed to us in a polite and respectful manner that due to financial reasons and operational costs, everyone at the table needed to get a tasting menu then we would have understood. But Dinesh made it very clear that night that our patronage is not important and that there are other people on the waitlist that would gladly replace us should we decide to inquire on information that was not at all relayed to us.Im sure the food would have been fantastic and if youre looking for a place that charges 200 per head and treats you terribly, then you wont be disappointed. Due to this experience, we will NOT be visiting this restaurant in the future.
Wonderfully warm assistance rendered by Dinesh and his colleagues. Overall an extremely delicious and exciting dinner! Well done!
Ambience and service was top notch but the food for some reason was packed with flavour and a lot of salt! The palate felt exhausted after 4 dishes. Take the Chettinad chicken roti for example - it was full of great flavor but super salty and I wish there were more pickled cucumber slices in there to cut the saltiness a little.
Simply amazing.
Food was amazing and creative. So far the best mod-indian I’ve had.
Quite a unique experience. We did the chefs table and it was simply fantastic. They met our dietary requirements, service was on point, the pre-dinner cocktail were a miss. Overall the ambiance, food ans service was supreme. My fav top 3 dishes for the night were- the lamb with the berry pulao, the dessert and their take on the classic vada pao
Tried this place for dinner and we had a really good experience. The service was amazing and the food was outstanding. We tried the cocktails and I really liked the spicy negroni. In terms of food, the chettinad roti, grilled snapper really stood out. The quality and the food justifies the price and I would recommend this as one of the best restaurants in Singapore
The best in Indian fine singing that I am yet to try in Singapore! Need to return!
Brilliant Chef 👩🍳
Gorgeous food though a bit pricey and limited. But they focus on delivering quality and attentive stuff. Tim and Sasi were great. Will return for a 3rd time and more for the great food and drinks
Great food. Thanks
Celebrated a belated valentines day dinner here at Thevar and was totally blown away by the flavors from each dish. How is it possible to be surprised yet reminded of our favorite dishes growing up. We were so sad when the meal ended, but well definitely be back with our friends and family.
