Its approx. 3 to 4 kms from main town simdega...its an nice place and if you go downside where the dam water falls you will get a feeling of an river...there also an large stones... theres also an small mountain ranges which looks green.. throughout the year..theres also an park beside..overall a nice place for spending an weekend...who hadnt gone there..

Kelaghgh dam is the most beautiful dam on Chhinda river in Simdega.The lovely waterdam is surrounded by multiple hills which attracts tourists very much. The district administration is providing the facility of motor boating and parasailing. There is a plateau in Kelaghagh dam where a small and beautiful park exists. At Kelaghagh dam the construction of hotel is going on where the tourists can avail the lodging and fooding facility. Simdega Notified area committee is making supply of drinking water to Simdega town from kelaghagh dam.

Famous picnic spot in jharkhand.big stone.rock like khandgiri udaygiri view.bridge.temple.green.water view.nature..but be careful.while u there.follow New motor vehicle Act..wear seat belt.4 seater.n for only 4.if u dissobey.like today.our picnic paid fine...so follow rules for safety..but rourkela.jharkhand road..in danger conditions..big holes.pathetic..
