Great food!!!!!!! Nice and quiet. I was blow away the quality was very good. Definitely a place to revisit!!! Clean, fast service. The restaurant was empty so I thought the food wouldnt be good but I was surprised at how fresh and flavorful the food was. The Garlic Naan bread was also fresh and tasty.

I love this restaurant, the food is like a taste explosion in your mouth, you littrally have to roll me out of the restaurant Im so full, my favorite it the vegetable thali, and meat samosa starter. One of the best Indian restaurants Ive been to outside of India. And believe me ive eaten hundreds. 5 stars all day long.

It was a dinner night with my wife and we actually loved it. The ambience was so classic, the venue was great with accessibility to a car park near by, food quality was amazing and top of it, all the staffs was super cool.The overall experience was amazing and we highly recommend this restaurant! A perfect place to impress your partner or your lover!

A very well decorated restaurant that serves authentic Indian food. It is located very close to Helsinki senate house and esplanade. We had many dishes of fish, rice, chicken, palak paneer, vegetables. Very reasonable price. One plate is enough for at least two person although we ordered for each dish for a person only. If one orders for a fish curry , rice comes along with vegetable with it. Very friendly staffs. I loved their masala tea and lemonade drink also.

Very nice decor and friendly staff. Definitely has the feel of a more upscale restaurant and the atmosphere is pleasant. Food itself was good, but nothing to rave about. They will also adjust the spices to your tastes when asked. This is a place where I’d come with a group to spend an evening or bring a date. All and all, better than average indian restaurant.

Indian dishes are prepared from fresh ingredients. The veg side dishes are great. A bit more upscale decor than many other Indian/Nepalese venues in Helsinki. I have always encountered a very friendly service here.

As a Brit I love a good curry and they place has an excellent curry! The lamb meat is very tender and the curries are full of flavour and the balance breads are absolutely superb. The only issue with the place is that the service seems a little slow. Would definitely go again.

The food tasted good but there are other outlets which serve similar taste plus add ons at a much cheaper price. Also, there as no attention given unless you call about a couple of times probably because the waiters are wither busy or into too many things at the same time.

Im an Indian visiting Helsinki and this is by far the most authentic tastes of Indian food Ive had in Finland. Good job. I ordered their two spicy chicken dishes and was quite satisfied with both. Portions can be more for the price. But overall a good experience. Definitely visiting again!!

The food is pretty good.In terms of Authentic Indian taste, I would say it doesnt really reach that mark but its still pretty good.

Food was ready made as it went really fast and they didnt ask for spice strength. Taste was avarage Indian. Coke was without gas. But the worse was that all of us had stomach pain when we got home :(

We were very hungry when we spotted the place through Google. The food tasted good but Id not call it great. We had lamb biriyani that did not taste real and very hot. Kofta, Naan, Paneer dishes were good but portions less in quantity. Priced higher compared to other Indian restaurants close by. The ambience and atmosphere is maintained well. Overall a decent experience.

Rice item(chicken Biryani) not upto the mark,its cuddled and a bit sticky like East Asian rice . All other northern Indian items like naan and curries are awesome .

We ordered the Veg Thali and it was great. The Nan was very nice and fluffy. The dishes had the right amount of spice.

Indian is always a good choice when it is late and you are in an unfamiliar city. Samrat did not disappoint and served us a well prepared and authentic meal although it could have been a bit spicier. But, we were in Finland so no surprise..

Excellent Indian food. The naan was fantastic. Its real Indian food not like the Bangladeshi so called Indian restaurants in the UK. The black daal, lamb, meat samosas were excellent (not on the menu)

I dislike all hot foods and only went to please a friend. The MILD portion was ok but not to my taste. My friend really liked her food though. The interior was too dark for my taste but they have a terrace in the summer, which should be nice. Friendly service. Prices ok.

Secluded Indian restaurant in the middle of downtown, still central but no random foot traffic. Outdoor terrace is surrounded by buildings which makes it a nice place to enjoy the sun on windy days.

We have been there twice and both times food has been excellent. We have seen hundreds of restaurants all over the world and this is one of the best ones. We will gladly come again.Prices are totally ok for food like this. Mainly example the chicken dishes are between 14-18 euros and I quarantee that those are good dishes. This is authentic Indian food, not supermarket trash.5 stars are really earned and service is excellent also.

One of the worst restaurants in helsinki very poor customer service and very rude and racist attitude towards Asian people. We went for an anniversary party with 15 people and we were provided with uncomfortable tables. 8 people were asked to sit on table of 5. Hence we asked to shift to a different table but they said they cannot change as the food has been ordered already and the Bangladeshi bearer shouted racist words against us and asked to go out. I have been to so many restaurants in helsinki but never seen such worst and racist attitude.

Great food, decent staff, quick service. In the middle of city centre, quite close to the old market hall. Full marks to the food. Little tip: order tawa rotis, they are soft and go well with the curries, easy on your tummy too

The food was tasteless and mediocre. Prices were quite high considering that the naan bread was not included in the meal. Service was slow even though the restaurant wasnt even half full. To say something nice, the restaurant looked nice and was clean.

We Indians are at times very fussy about the food even when we go to other countries. At times we want only Indian food and that too we expect it to be like the one we get in India!Samrat came very close to our expectations. Food was very good. We had buffet lunch there and we loved it. The buffet arrangement was good. I love papads and was very happy to see lots of them and tasty too. Liked the way they cooked rotis. Paneer quality was excellent.Seating was a bit cramped, but thats okay as long as the food quality is good.Highly recommend Samrt for Indian food in Helsinki.

This was my first time eating Indian cuisine and we chose this restaurant for the last evening of our honeymoon. We received a friendly greeting and were promptly served. My wife and I both had chicken dishes with rice and a side of garlic naan. The food was well prepared and tasted even better. As a kind gesture, our server brought us a complimentary dessert since it was our honeymoon. Overall, the service was great, the restaurant very clean (dining room and wc) and my only regret is that we may not be able to eat here again in the near future (as we are from the U.S.).
