Salugara Monastery is a Buddhist shrine situated about 6 kms from Siliguri in the State of West Bengal, India. The renowned monastery holds a massive 110 feet tall Stupa which was constructed by Tibetan Lama- Kalu Rinpoche. It is also known as the Tashi Homang Stupa. This shrine houses around five Buddhist relics and is a place of meditation and prayer. The tranquillity of the monastery which has an Indo-Tibetan style of architecture and its scenic surroundings make it an ideal spot for soul seekers and tourists.

Salugara Monastery is a beautiful and peaceful Buddhist Monastery located on the main road. It is well maintained and quiet place. Better to not keep high expectations as it is a small place. Not too much to explore. The place is easy to find and enough place to park your vehicle.

The place is located in salugara and can be seen easily from the main road. It was built brilliantly.Perfect place to find some solace. Best place to meditate . Though there are 2 to 3 monasteries located nearby so that one can get easily confused by the fact. The google map which shows the actual location of salugara monastery is a bit confusing n nt realistic rather one has to go a little bit f walk from the location

This is one of the finest monastery of now a days. Situated near main national highway going towards Gangtok. In this monastery the facility of learning for male and female monks are in two separate buildings with all modern living gadget. Building is huge and marvelous. Its really good place for meditation and knowing about Buddhism.
