The Kanchenjunga Stadium, also known as Kanchanjungha Krirangan, is a multi-purpose stadium in Siliguri, India.[2] It is mainly used for cricket and football matches. Built in the 1980s, the stadium holds a capacity of 40,000,[1] and currently the home ground of Siliguri Premier League side Kanchenjunga FC. It also hosted two kolkata derby matches in 2016 I-league.Here is the picture of =Gostha Behari Paul was an Indian professional football player. He moved to Kolkata when he was an infant and lived there till his very last days. Nicknamed as Cheener Pracheer (The Wall of China) he was one of the best defenders of contemporary Indian football. He started playing for Kumartuli A.C. aged 11, and joined Mohun Bagan at the age of 16. In 1921, Gostho Paul was honored with the captaincy of the Mohun Bagan football team, and he remained as the club captain for next 5 years. In 1924, he was also appointed as the captain of the Indian national football team. He was the first Indian footballer to be honoured with the Padma Shri, on April 27, 1962. Mohun Bagan awarded him the Mohun Bagan Ratna posthumously, which is given to former greats of that club, in 2004. An archive was launched in his honour and named the Gostho Paul Archive, inside the Mohun Bagan club premises.

Extremely bad, the west bengal government does not take any care of account, filled with stounch smell and surrounded with garbage and filty material. No scope of parking and completely unplanned design. This stadium must be replace to Salugara Gandhi maidan.

Cleaning is very good, ground condition and maintenance is very good, very high level sitting area are available, security high, gaust room available, gaust room is clean and good.

I come here everyday for running. One complete round makes 330 meters.also there is place for long jump, short jump etc.For elderly people ,yoga are also taught. Further,here cricket coaching and karate lessons are given.What it lacks is active management. Often thus groung is used for other activities. This playground should not be used for any other activities like party etc..there is urgent need of rain water harvesting as it lacks proper supply of water.

Attended a marriage reception in the halls below the stadium seating tiers .. quite spacious and looks well with decoration with the kitchen space quite large too!! Car parking space adequate for such occasions!! Being an ex sportsman I checked the stadium turf too and found the ground was not hard as liked by sports persons but the grass had weeds intermingled and should be taken care of as matches of national and international stature are held there!! Overall impressive!!

I can see the playground from my balcony. I can watch and enjoy national and international football matches from the rooftop of residence. Its really amazing that I can get all privileges even without getting out of here. Marvelous place to have got every inch of entertainment in my life, simply sitting at a place

Larger than many other grounds in this city this stadium has very much importance for many kind of festival like Mela(the word in Bengali means a festival where many temporary stalls arrange beautiful display the traditional cultural materials, hand made utensil, books, plant and flower and many other things), personal many type of receptions, social programs etc. This is the stadium of Football game, but other type of games like Volleyball, Cricket, Racket, Athletics are performed here. There are some times Political Rallies held. The most of all from the top of gallery one can take the view of Himalaya and the Mount Kanchenjunga specially at the last of September to December.

Its a very big stadium in siliguri. Its the only one big stadium in siliguri. Here a lot of events are held like athletics,football matches, drawing competions, melas and many more events are organised here because of which there is a very bad traffic jam near to the stadium. It is near to the venus more.

Very nice and wide place to organise various religious ceremony & this place is one of the most famous play ground among all other stadiums around north Bengal. National & international games & tournaments are take place here. We love this place.
